Courtney Hope‘s full-on, full-time crossover from The Bold and the Beautiful to The Young and the Restless is now confirmed.
CBS’ No. 1 soap has officially announced that, as widely suspected/hoped at the time that her casting first leaked, Hope is relocating her B&b character, Sally Spectra — a dynamic fashion designer and the great-niece of the Og Sally (played by the late Darlene Conley) — to Genoa City.

Courtney Hope is departing Los Angeles for Genoa City. The former star of “The Bold and the Beautiful” posted a photo of herself on Instagram on August 20 wearing “The Young and the Restless” apparel with the caption, “This seems like a good fit.” Daytime Confidential subsequently confirmed that the actress is making the move from one soap to the other.
Hope first arrived on “B&b” in 2017 as Sally Spectra, the grandniece of a fashion mogul also named Sally Spectra and the granddaughter of Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo). The younger Sally was so obsessed with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) that she pretended to be dying in order to keep him with her, and even kidnapped the woman he really loved, Flo (Katrina Bowden). Suffice it to say that didn’t pan out.

The Bold and the Beautiful may be back in production after a Covid-19 shutdown, but the series is saying goodbye to a beloved cast member.
"An abrupt ending to a monumental journey," said Courtney Hope on Instagram, confirming her exit as Sally Spectra.
"The last three years have been amazing, and though I do not know what the future holds this chapter of Sally has sadly come to an end."
"I love my @boldandbeautifulcbs cast and crew and will miss everyone dearly, but await the day we may all play again."
"Some things are out of our control, and I thank the fans for your support through it all!"
She continued, "Until then, I revel in new beginnings and everything the future has in store.

Best Quote: HBO’s flick The Girl — about the troubled relationship between Tippi Hendren and Alfred Hitchcock during the making of the classic frightfest The Birds — kicked off with the following words from the director: “Blondes make the best victims. They’re like virgin snow that shows up the bloody footprints.”
Dumbest Deal: Did that Survivor tribe really just give up all their rice in exchange for brownies and a shower? Yes, in fact they did.
Biggest Improvement: Sunday’s episode of The Good Wife was far and away it’s best episode of the season. It was also the first episode that was devoid of Kalinda’s mysterious husband Nick. Coincidence: We think not.
Surest Bet: In offering the biggest prize on reality TV, Spike TV’s $10 Million Dollar Big Foot Bounty is gambling on the fact that nobody will be able to prove the creature exists.

In February, NCIS celebrated having filmed 200 episodes over the course of 9 seasons. And kudos to them… but today, The Bold & The Beautiful — the youngest of the four remaining daytime soaps — celebrates its 25th anniversary. Just to give this accomplishment a little perspective, let’s imagine that NCIS manages to hold on for another 13 years. Upon marking its silver anniversary, the drama would have aired approximately 425 episodes. And not to downplay what an incredible (if unlikely) scenario that would be, the fashion-based sudser that today turns a quarter century old has delivered over 6,200 episodes. Let that sink in for a minute… and then, let’s flash back to our five favorite moments (and it was tough to pick!) from the show’s history.

And baby makes three? That terrific character actress Ellen Greene of Little Shop of Horrors and Pushing Daisies fame joins The Young and the Restless for a five-episode stint starting January 7. Longtime fans of the soap will get a kick out of this: Greene will play Primrose DeVille, who is the niece of black market baby racketeer Rose DeVille, a notorious character played back in the '80s by the late, great Darlene Conley. Primrose will connect with Billy Abbott (Billy Miller) soon after he and wife Victoria (Amelia Heinle) get word from the doc that it'll be near impossible for them to conceive children. Y&R has Greene under gag order about plot details but, as you can see in the photo, Primrose does hand Billy a newborn. And Daisy (Yvonne Zima) gives birth to her baby this week and abandons it in a church. Are the bambinos one and the same?...
