Well, this certainly was a cinematic rollercoaster that pushed the boundaries of pop culture crossovers. In a spectacular fan-made video that’s nothing short of peak cinema, we recently witnessed the indomitable Gus Fring (portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito) striding through the mayhem with his signature calm, while a pantheon of heroes tried to hinder his progress.
Indeed, we saw a number of acclaimed A-list action heroes of Tinseltown—from the muscular Arnold Schwarzenegger to the stoic resolve of Keanu Reeves’ character, even the lightning-fast reflexes of The Flash—struggle to hold Gus Fring back.

But that’s not all; even Tom Cruise, donning his iconic Top Gun bravado, took a crack at stopping the unflappable Fring, only to learn that some villains simply can’t be grounded. Gustavo Fring (Esposito) is a principal antagonist in the crime drama series, Breaking Bad and...

Keanu Reeves is widely recognized for his roles in action franchises such as John Wick and The Matrix, and as far as everyone knows, he’s great at playing the hero. Apparently, the actor’s best performance was not from any of the movies where he portrayed the good guy.

Lionsgate blew past Wall Street’s expectations for the March quarter, its fiscal fourth, on a few key metrics from revenue to adjusted Eps and operating income as library sales and ramped up content deliveries helped propel TV profits up by 83%. The numbers are the last to land this earnings season.
The studio business (motion picture and television production) saw revenue of close to $880 million, up 6.8% from the year earlier. Profit of about $135 million rose 10%.
Motion picture sales declined by 23% to $410.6 million and profit by 12% to $82.2 million on tough comps from John Wick: Chapter Four the year before.
Television production revenue surged 61% to $469 million on profit of $52.6 million – both driven by strength in library sales and an increase in post-strike content deliveries. The improvement was solid but a surprise.

Quarterly losses shrank at Lionsgate and revenues climbed as the company’s television business rebounded from the twin strikes that had shut down production for much of 2023.
Revenue at the company behind “The Hunger Games” and “John Wick” franchises topped out at $1.12 billion for the three-month period ending in March, up from $1.08 billion in the prior-year quarter. Lionsgate also reported a net loss attributable to shareholder of $39.5 million, which compared favorably to the prior-year quarterly losses of $96.8 million. It recorded a loss of 22 cent per-share for the period. In the year-ago quarter, Lionsgate had per-share losses of 42 cents. Lionsgate’s revenues beat Wall Street estimates of $1.11 billion.

Keanu Reeves is known for doing his own stunts to add authenticity to his many films. But at the same time, the actor wouldn’t call what he does ‘stunts.’
Keanu Reeves claimed he hasn’t ‘done any stunt work’ Keanu Reeves | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Reeves might belong in the same category as his contemporary Tom Cruise when it comes to doing movie stunts. But Reeves disagreed with defining what he did as “stunts.” Instead, he preferred to call his sequences “physical acting.”
“I get to do some physical acting. I get involved in some action but they’re not stunts. I flip over guys, I get flipped, I run, I jump, I play,” Reeves said in a 2014 interview with IndieWire.
Even at an older age, Reeves didn’t shy away from doing his physical acting. Reeves quipped that his experience doing film stunts helped him keep up with the physicality of his action roles.

The Crow: Bill Skarsgård's Eric Draven Is Ready For A Fight In New Still From Rupert Sanders' Remake
Created by James O'Barr as a means of dealing with the death of his fiancée at the hands of a drunk driver, The Crow #1 was released in 1989 and became an instant classic. A big screen adaptation starring the late Brandon Lee followed in 1994 and it too is beloved.
As a result, the odds are already stacked against this summer's remake. Ghost in the Shell director Rupert Sanders is at the helm, while John Wick: Chapter 4 star Bill Skarsgård takes on the role of Eric Draven.
The response to the first trailer wasn't overly positive and the movie's take on the title character - which has replaced the iconic makeup with Joker-style face tattoos - has been similarly divisive. So, yeah, we expect The Crow to struggle when it swoops into theaters in August.
Now, we have a new look at Skarsgård's transformation and it looks like Eric is ready for a fight.

Pure intentions never come a long way when it comes to achieving stardom in Hollywood. John Wick star John Leguizamo seems to understand that but while the actor may hold a cynical view of the industry due to time spent behind the curtains, there exist some things (perhaps a movie role or odd jobs to pay oneʼs way through surviving as a struggling artist) that he imagines as simply being too awkward to be uttered in public.

The John Wick franchise has, in addition to Keanu Reeves’ titular character, given fans multiple stellar characters to be nostalgic about. While the latest iteration ended with Wick seemingly dying at the steps of the Basilica of Sacré Coeur, Donnie Yen’s character has recently received a spinoff, which is set to continue the story of Caine.

Yen played a blind assassin in John Wick: Chapter 4, with the spinoff expected to delve into his story following the events of the movie. Regardless, the actor also played an equally memorable role in the 206-released Rogue One, the first installment of the Star Wars anthology series. The movie saw Yen play another badass blind character in the form of Chirrut Imwe, a warrior who believes in the force, and arguably deserves his own spinoff, just like John Wick’s Caine.

There’s hardly a fan of action out there that doesn’t know the name of Keannu Revees’ famous assassin. The franchise is getting bigger as the years go by, and while the main series seems to be over, spin-off movies are planned, and we have just received information that a solo spin-off focusing on Donnie Yen’s character Caine is in the works and will start filming relatively soon!
In case you don’t remember, Yen’s character Caine is a blind assassin who was introduced to the fans in Chapter 4 of the series and was described as an old ally of John’s in the movie.

John Wick is undeniably one of the most successful franchises by director Chad Stahelski, and a major milestone for Keanu Reeves as well who is so loved in the role that fans can’t imagine anyone else as the titular character besides him. However, even before the first movie’s launch, someone had brutally negative thoughts and predictions on how it would turn out to be.
John Wick.
Surprisingly enough, this someone was none other than the mastermind Stahelski himself, who even predicted that the film would be such a massive failure that it would go “straight to video.” But what’s even more stunning than the filmmaker’s own predictions on his blockbuster saga was the fact that Reeves was never supposed to lead the franchise the way he ended up doing!

The John Wick universe continues to grow, with Donnie Yen to get his own spin-off. The film will continue the adventures of his character, Caine.
Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski, star and director of the popular John Wick series, may be taking a well-earned break from the franchise, but that isn’t stopping Lionsgate from finding ways to keep the good ship Wick on its journey to box office dollars.
There’s the TV prequel spin-off, The Continental, which has already released, not to mention Ballerina, the recently-delayed spin-off movie that will feature Ana de Armas as an assassin who looks to have graduated from the same killing school that taught John Wick himself.
Gird yourself for more stories from the John Wick universe, though, as it’s been announced by Lionsgate (thanks Dark Horizons) that Donnie Yen’s Caine character will also be getting a spin-off film. It will...

Donnie Yen isn’t done with his role as the blind assassin Caine from John Wick: Chapter 4 quite yet.

“Working on John Wick: Chapter 4 was an extraordinary experience. Lionsgate is developing a John Wick spinoff movie around Donnie Yen’s Caine assassin character.
Yen will reprise his John Wick: Chapter 4 role in the untitled project set to shoot in Hong Kong in 2025. The franchise expanding film, with no director yet announced, will follow the events of John Wick 4 as Caine has been freed from his obligations to the High Table.
The project also follows Yen, a veteran Hong Kong action hero, pushing back against what he claimed were Asian stereotypes in the original script for John Wick 4. After some prodding, John Wick 4 director Chad Stahelski agreed to change the name and clothes for Yen’s character.
China-born Yen is a household name internationally thanks to his hugely popular and acclaimed Ip Man movie series, and he has crossed over to Hollywood with outings in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which grossed over a billion dollars,...

The big movie this weekend is the latest from director John Krasinski, once again teaming with Paramount Pictures for his family film “If,” starring Ryan Reynolds. “If” stands for “Imaginary Friends” – not to be confused with the recent horror movie “Imaginary” – although this is a family-friendly version of the same general concept, about a little girl named Bea (played by Cailey Fleming) who begins working with Reynold’s character to help pair IFs who have been abandoned by their childhood friends with new kids.
Following his run on “The Office” and directing a couple of indies, Krasinski directed “A Quiet Place” for Paramount in 2018, which opened with $50.2 million and went onto gross $188 million domestic and $334 million globally, based on a $17 million budget.

The unprecedented era of science fiction and high-octane action that defined the turn of the 20th century with the Wachowski siblingsʼ film franchise The Matrix set in motion a predestined narrative for the leading star Keanu Reeves. What the Wachowskis did for Reevesʼ career in 1999 slowly led to his intro into kung-fu in the John Wick franchise which in turn helped the Wachowskisʼ return in the fourth Matrix sequel, bringing the director and actorʼs Hollywood stories full circle.

As such, the martial arts and gun-fu training that defined every muscle memory of The Matrix lead kicked into high gear when he was called onto the sets of The Matrix Resurrections.

For Keanu Reeves, the foreboding shadow of violence has loomed large over his reputation as Mr. Nicest Guy in Hollywood ever since he retracted out of Oliver Stoneʼs Platoon in 1986. His decision to avoid on-screen brutality lasted all but 8 years before his action-man persona took over Hollywood and charmed critics and fans alike in the adrenaline-chasing blockbuster Speed in 1994.
What followed soon after was a gallery of his lifeʼs work encompassed within the works of the Wachowskisʼ The Matrix trilogy (1999-2003), Constantine (2005), 47 Ronin (2013), and most importantly, the franchise of John Wick (2014-present).

I said, ‘Well, okay I guess.’ They said, ‘No, we’ll work with you again, we’re gonna…’ That’s what happened there.”
