Linda Cardellini, Edi Patterson, Tim Heidecker and Toby Huss will star in David Gordon Green’s “Nutcrackers.” They join the previously announced Ben Stiller, who will play a work-obsessed man who travels to rural Ohio to look after his four nephews after their parents die in a car accident.
Heidecker will play a local deputy, Patterson has been cast as an orphan profiteer, Huss portrays an eccentric empty-nester millionaire and Cardellini takes on the role of a social worker who helps Stiller’s character on his journey to find a home for the boys. The film is based on a script by Leland Douglas and was developed by Rough House Pictures.
Rivulet Films’ Rob Paris and Mike Witherill, Red Hour Films’ Stiller and John Lesher, and Rough House Pictures’ Nate Meyer are producing. Rivulet fully financed the film, which recently wrapped production outside of Cincinnati.

Prime Video has a fair amount in store for subscribers in November, as the uber-violent hit animated show Invincible returns for its highly anticipated second season. Based on the iconic comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, season two will find super-powered protagonist Mark attempting to rebuild his life after finding out the truth about his father Nolan.
Elsewhere on the streamer, the producing team behind the James Bond movies are out to spin the franchise in a completely different direction by debuting their curious new globe-trotting adventure series, pitched somewhere between a quiz show and a treasure hunt. 007: Road To A Million features Brian Cox as the game’s “mastermind”, watching over the contestants as they try to win a million quid.
Here’s everything coming to Amazon Prime Video and Freevee this month. Amazon Originals are accompanied by an asterisk!

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” is making some changes to its writers’ room.
Head writer Mason Steinberg is stepping down from the role, which he’s held since 2022, while former head writer A.D. Miles will return to the post, TheWrap has learned.
Miles previously served as head writer on Jimmy Fallon’s late night programming between “Late Night” and “The Tonight Show” on NBC from 2009–2017. The move comes after Chris Miller became “The Tonight Show” showrunner in 2022. He replaced Jamie Granet-Bederman at the time.
In his tenure working with the former “Saturday Night Live” star-turned-late night host, Miles became known in part for his work in front of the camera, appearing in popular “Ew!” sketches as Fallon’s stepfather Gary alongside A-list guests like Taylor Swift, Michelle Obama, Drew Barrymore and Emma Stone. Other acting credits outside of his late night tenure include “Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later,...

Hulu’s list of new releases for April 2023 don’t feature many blockbusters, but if we dig a little, I’m sure we can find some gems.
Perhaps the most promising items are on the TV side of things. Tiny Beautiful Things premieres on April 7 and stars Kathryn Hahn as “a floundering writer who becomes a revered advice columnist while her own life is falling apart.” That will be followed by comedy Am I Being Unreasonable? on April 11 and two documentaries: high school football story Algiers, America (April 19) and Tupac Shakur piece Dear Mama (April 22).
The best TV candidate this month, however, is probably Saint X on April 26. This series, told via multiple timelines, “explores and upends the girl-gone-missing genre as it explores how a young woman’s mysterious death during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that eventually pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth.

One of the most anticipated television releases of April is coming to Hulu on April 7. “Tiny Beautiful Things” stars Kathryn Hahn as troubled writer Clare. Ironically, she becomes a great advice columnist as her life falls apart. Her marriage is in trouble and her teen daughter hates her. Plus, her writing career is going nowhere. Based on the best-selling collection by Cheryl Strayed, the limited series explores the author’s journey toward healing herself and others.
Check out the “Tiny Beautiful Things” trailer:
Also arriving on Hulu in April is the series adaptation of the best-selling novel “Saint X.” The series is based on Alexis Schaitkin’s novel of the same name and follows a woman’s dangerous pursuit of her older sister’s disappearance on an idyllic Caribbean vacation. Through multiple timelines, the series explores all the traumatic ripples the mystery created for countless people. The series will star Alycia Debnam-Carey,...

Even if you’ve signed up for every streaming service out there, it can feel monumental when a title moves from one to another. In April, Netflix mainstay “New Girl” moves to Hulu; still streaming, but not where fans are used to finding it — like rearranging the furniture in your apartment and waking up surprised every day that the couch is over there now.
But what’s important is that “New Girl” lives on, now joining Hulu’s own TV and movie library and originals from Freeform, FX, National Geographic, and more. Later in the month, Leila Gerstein’s “Saint X” — based on the novel by Alexis Schaitkin — premieres with three episodes, recounting the story of a young girl found dead during a family vacation and the sister piecing it together years later. Alycia Debnam-Carey, Josh Bonzie, West Duchovny, Jayden Elijah, Bre Francis, Kenlee Anaya Townsend, Betsy Brandt, and Michael Park star.

Prime Video got off to a fast start this summer with the release of The Boys season 3 on June 3. Now, as we enter the dog days, Prime Video is set to keep the warm weather good times rolling with a new twist on an old classic. That’s right, Amazon’s list of new releases for August 2022 is highlighted by some good old-fashioned baseball.
A League of Their Own, the TV adaptation of Penny Marshall’s 1992 movie, is set to premiere on Aug. 12. Like the movie before it, the series will dramatize the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League which saw women playing America’s pastime while the major leagues were on pause for World War II. Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) co-created the show and will star as catcher Carson Shaw.
Other Prime Video Originals of note this month include season 2 of British comedy The Outlaws on and the Ron Howard-directed Thirteen Lives,...

Prime Video will continue rolling out its summer slate in the month of August, releasing new original series, as well as a mix of suspenseful films, action movies and more.
Amazon’s series version of “A League of Their Own” will debut its eight-episode first season on Aug. 12, introducing new characters and stories set in the historical opening of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League (Aagpbl).
Ron Howard’s “Thirteen Lives” tells the real-life story of how a young boys’ soccer team was rescued from the Thai mountain cave where they got stuck for 10 days along with their coach.
Other new film arrivals include hits from earlier this summer, “The Lost City” starring Sandra Bullock, Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt, as well as “Sonic the Hedgehog 2.” Academy Award-nominated film “Licorice Pizza” also arrives on Prime Video this month.
Freevee will also have new arrivals this month.

O Brother, Why Art Thou?: The Guit Bros. Get Down & Out in Bizarre Debut
Something is rotten in the state of Belgium, or so it would seem in the nonsensical and utterly out of control low brow comedy Mother Schmuckers, the debut film from Lenny and Harpo Guit, starring as what seems to be an obnoxious exaggeration of The Three Stooges ilk. "Remember me? I set you on fire at the pancake festival" - Commander Kent
Now, look, I know you probably have your assumptions about Paul Blart: Mall Cop. It stars Kevin James, who is generally to tasteful film-making what Donald Trump is to tasteful hairdressing. It's a knockabout, low-stakes comedy primarily about how funny fat people are when they fall over. It's called Paul Blart: Mall Cop, for crying out loud. It's impossible to say that out loud without sounding like an especially concussed caveman. And, hand on heart, it's going to take a lot of convincing to persuade me that the word "Blart" isn't a deliberate compound of "blood" and "fart".
And yet I'm here today to tell you that Paul Blart: Mall Cop is a sorely underrated film. Sure,...

It may only be March, but we already have a candidate for music video of the year. And no, it doesn't come from more experienced and well-known folks in the field like Floria Sigismondi, Jonas Åkerlund or other exotically named people. Instead it comes from Eric Wareheim of "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" fame. And it's as bonkers as you might expect... ...and surprisingly beautiful in its own way, too. The spot for Beach House's "Wishes" finds Wareheim re-enlisting his "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie" star Ray Wise as he leads the oddest football halftime event this side of Beyoncé, with fireworks, horses and more. It's definitely worth a look, and after that, if you have a half hour to spare, you can watch the band's short film "Forever Still." Check 'em both out below. [Pitchfork]...

Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Funny or Die, having just celebrated its fifth birthday and produced Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie, is now planning to put out two to three theatrical releases a year. "We're not looking to find some scripts and make just a bunch of movies. We're looking to enhance the brand through this venture," says CEO Dick Glover. Producer and partner Scott Steindorff (The Lincoln Lawyer, Turistas) says the hope is to "find the next Animal House or breakaway comedy."...

Although we already announced the winners of the 2012 Readers' Choice Awards on the latest episode of the Film Junk Podcast, I know you're all just dying to see the full voting breakdown. After all, this is where you get to praise your fellow Film Junkies for their great taste in movies and/or mourn their total ignorance of quality cinema. Most of the categories had pretty decisive winners, but by far the two closest races were between Prometheus and Looper for Best Sci-fi / Fantasy and Holy Motors and Headhunters in the Foreign Film category. The Animated category had the highest number of votes spread around to all five nominees. So what do you think, do you agree with these results? Are there any big surprises? Check out the final tallies after the jump. Best Comedy 1. 21 Jump Street — 61% 2. Ted — 17% 3. Goon — 9% 4. Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie — 4% 5. Wanderlust — 2% Best Horror 1. 10. Friends With Kids Rated Np for No Parents because of a curious obsession with imaginative descriptions of female parts, and extended awkward trying-to-have-sex-and-failing scenes. (This will become a theme in this list.) 9. The Cabin in the Woods Good luck trying to get through this one without pausing every sixty seconds for a Q and A session about exactly what is going on. If you accept the challenge, go ahead and write "I don't know, let's watch the movie and find out!" on a piece of paper to hold up instead. 8. Ted Childhood memories: ruined forever. 7. Bachelorette The strip club bathroom scene is more than enough for a spot on this list. But Kirsten Dunst's (also bathroom) sex scene seals the deal. 6. Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie See entry #8, Cabin in the Woods. 5. Magic Mike Because, you know, the entire premise of the film, plus the possibility that your...

As any dedicated follower of the hilarious, irreverent, and sometimes gross comedy duo Tim and Eric can attest, a popular refrain while watching their work (be it from their late, great Adult Swim show, "Tim and Eric's Awesome Show Great Job!," their work with Funny or Die, and most recently their piece de resistance, "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie") is "Are they serious?".
And in "The Comedy," a decidedly not-so-comedic film directed by Rick Alverson about a thirtysomething Williamsburg resident in the throes of ennui, self-involvement, and lots of money he's set to inherit from his ailing father, fans will likely once again question the work's gravity. The starring role of Swanson is played by none other than Tim Heidecker (his comedy partner, Eric Wareheim, plays one of Swanson's friends).
"He's a bit listless, he's a millionare, this trust fund kid that doesn't have to do work.

"Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie" and Rick Alverson's "The Comedy" (starring Tim Heidecker) both played at the Sundance Film Festival, and it'd be easy to simply peg the former as your standard bizarre T&E affair and the latter as a dramatic arthouse effort. But that's simply much too reductive for Alverson's current character study, a film uniquely weird in its own right and filled with enough of the duo's humor to make their followers happy -- to a point. The director uses comedy to explore a man's inability to be a human being as he constantly involves himself in situations purely for irony's sake, refusing to take others' lives into consideration. There was much, much talk about how unlikable Charlize Theron was in "Young Adult," but as far as this writer's concerned, she has nothing on Heidecker's Swanson. It's a difficult film in that sense, one that incites laughter but immediately questions.

With Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have clearly established themselves as comedians who push the boundaries of what most people consider to be funny, often delving into the bizarre, the surreal and the downright mundane. So when the duo chooses to star in a movie simply called The Comedy, you know there is a pretty good chance you're going to get anything but. Unlike Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie, this is not actually directed by Tim or Eric but rather Rick Alverson, who previously directed two dramas: New Jerusalem and The Builder. But is it a drama or is it a comedy? I'm still not sure. The plot revolves around a guy named Swanson (Tim Heidecker), who is about to inherit his wealthy father's estate but has no emotional response, preferring to just screw around with his buddies all day. The plot...

★☆☆☆☆ Us comedy duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim bring their unusual (and quite frankly bizarre) style of humour to the big screen with Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie (2012) - a film more likely to anger than entertain. Having been loaned $1 billion to make a film, Tim and Eric turn in a six-minute travesty to their financiers. Unhappy with their attempt, the executives demand to be reimbursed. Finding themselves broke and at a complete loss, the duo decide to accept an unlikely offer from a shady, Top Gun-obsessed figure.

Take This Waltz (15)
(Sarah Polley, 2011, Can/Spa/Jap) Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Luke Kirby, Sarah Silverman, Jennifer Podemski. 116 mins
This is almost the opposite of a romcom: it deals with the prospect of a happy couple breaking up, as Williams is tempted away from cuddly partner Rogen by a handsome, wholesome neighbour. Which is better? The solid, stable kind of love, or the whirlwind, passionate kind? There are some irritating quirks, but on the whole it's an intelligent, truthful drama exploring guilt, regret, confusion and other grown-up emotions generally absent from the summer movie season.
The Bourne Legacy (12A)
(Tony Gilroy, 2012, Us) Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton. 135 mins
It's really the Damon legacy we're talking about here, and whether Renner can plug the Matt-shaped hole in the action franchise. He's got the right mix of acting and one-man-death-machine skills for the job, though this story of shady government operatives...

The second season of "Check It Out! With Dr. Steve Brule," premiered last night on Adult Swim, and if that alone doesn't bring you joy, the show released a teaser from the season premiere wherein Dr. Brule visits a marina (pronounced Mare-in-uh) and eats some crab from the garbage.
John C. Reilly may be the only actor alive who can get away with starring in critically acclaimed films during Oscar season ("Carnage," "We Need to Talk About Kevin") while concurrently starring in two Tim & Eric joints. In addition to playing the title role on "Check It Out!" (which he originated on "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!"), Reilly also plays Taquito, a sweet yet deranged homeless man living in an abandoned mall, in "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie."

Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, James Kirk, Luke Skywalker. Bleep those guys; as an interplanetary adventurer, John Carter has 'em all beat by at least ten years. Bringing the star of Edgar Rice Burroughs' series of Barsoom novels to the screen has been a long-sought-after passion project for a number of filmmakers, including Bob Clampett, Ray Harryhausen, John McTiernan, and Robert Rodriguez, but it was Andrew Stanton -- previously known for his work at Pixar, including directing Finding Nemo and Wall-e -- who finally got the chance, with Disney as his generous backer. Now his big-budget, live-action debut (laced with a healthy portion of computer-generated characters) John Carter, based on the debut tale A Princess of Mars, has come to the big screen, with Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, and Willem Dafoe starring. beabetterbooktalker.com's Andrea Lipinski joins Cinefantastique's Lawrence French and Dan Persons to to soak in the magnificent vistas...

First off, important question: If a 30 foot tall golden statue of David rolls through Manhattan, how big is the peen?
Patricia Heaton has always been a right-wing asshat, but when she started slut shaming Sandra Fluke last week, I swore off watching anything she's in, and I love The Middle. She's now apologized and said that while she disagrees on the subject, she should have been respectful. No sh*t. But I'm still not putting your show back on my record list.
Kim Kardashian calculated the value of her wedding gifts at $100,000, and wrote a check to charity for $200,000 so people wouldn't think less of her (is that possible?). But I agree with Kris Humphries, who thinks the gifts should have been returned to the people that shelled out $100,000 to buy them, who could have made a charitable donation if it fit their lifestyle. Also, nice tax write off for Kim.

Lots of weird things happen around MTV Movies headquarters, like Idris Elba whipping our reporters into Olympic-level shape, or a murderous Elijah Wood claiming our offices for his own... but nothing, nothing, compares to what Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim of "Billion Dollar" fame put MTV's Josh Horowitz through at Sundance this past year.
The comedy duo brought all the awkwardness and lunacy they're known for to what was supposed to be a cozy, informative 10-minute chat. Heck, even Will Forte was along for the ride. We should have known that this would not be a straightforward interview. But "not straightforward" doesn't even begin to cover it. The video below is a super-cut of all the awkwardness that ensued when Tim and Eric dropped on our couch. Please enjoy — or as our good friend Tim Heidecker would say, "back to you."

Eric Wareheim: "'Happiness.' I just rewatched that again. That was very inspirational for our work, for me, just seeing how awkward ... family problems ... It was just one of those movies that hit you on all levels. Really, really funny, but really f**ked up. Todd Solondz is one of my favorite directors."
Tim Heidecker: "'Spinal Tap' I could watch a million times. I don't think I ever get tired of that movie. It's so perfect. Every scene is exactly in the place it should be. A lot of asshole qualities come from being stupid. Like that scene when David St. Hubbins is so medicated after Nigel leaves the band. They're trying to get some answer out of him about how he feels about that and he's treating it like he's just another guy that's played in the band. It's so sad!"

Have we all recovered from the Oscars? I'm still steamed about Billy Crystal's blackface, but really, it's the horrible, groan-inducing jokes that were the most offensive of all. I just like to fantasize about the Tilda/Charlize/Fassbender crazy Oscar party they must have had together. That would be the place to watch! But now it's March, so awards season is over, and we must move on to new and greener pastures. You know what they say about March, in like a "Lorax" out like a lamb. Right? Something like that. This weekend, "The Lorax" ushers in spring with a little ecology lesson, and "Project X" ushers in Spring Break, Woo! We've also got curiosity "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie," somehow being released in theaters, Jafar Panahi's house arrest doc "This Is Not A Film" and plenty of other selections in our First Weekend of March Cornucopia.

"Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" & "The Day After Tomorrow"
The connection between these two is a simple cause and effect. "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" preaches an environmentalist message, and "The Day After Tomorrow" teaches us that if we pollute, wolves will hunt us down in the frozen tundra of Manhattan and eat us. Strangely enough, "The Lorax" functions as a spot-on prequel to "The Day After Tomorrow," only less cartoonish. And if you're a parent and your child asks what happens next...

“I am going to murder myself if you don't come down to my new fucking mall,” shouts Eric Wareheim in the red-band trailer for his film, “Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie.” Blackmail by threat of suicide may seem like an odd way to market your first feature, but then again, Wareheim and his co-star Tim Heidecker traffic in odd comedic behavior. “Billion Dollar Movie” is a spin-off of the duo's Adult Swim program, “Tim and Eric's Awesome Show, Great Job!” Each 15-minute episode smashes any preconceived notions you had about comedy through a variety of do-it-yourself sketches and bizarre back-and-forth banter. For someone used to the more mainstream stylings of an Adam Sandler or Judd Apatow, Wareheim and Heidecker could strike you as unfunny, offensive, confusing or all of the above. As such, the reactions to the first trailer for “Billion Dollar Movie” have been divisive: fans of the program laugh hysterically at it,...

Let's just go ahead and get this out of the way: some people will not enjoy this movie. It definitely isn't for the faint of heart. With that said, "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie" is one of the funniest films of the year by far. Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, of Adult Swim's "Tim and Eric's Awesome Show: Great Job!", have never been the most convential comedians. Their sense of humor can be described as "so smart that it seems stupid," purposefully going out of their way to make the audience feel as strange and uncomfortable as humanly possible.
"Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie" tells the story of two friends, Tim and Eric, who receive a billion dollars to make a movie and then squandor it all on "Hollywood makeovers" and fancy living. In order to make their money back, Tim and Eric decide...

The good news is we're finally out of the February doldrums. The bad news is March isn't really starting off much better. There are just two major releases hitting theatres this weekend: the CG adaptation of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax and the found footage party comedy Project X. The former seems to be getting okay reviews, but the latter... not so much. Fortunately, there are a few interesting things in select theatres including acclaimed Aussie crime thriller The Snowtown Murders, a Kiwi dramedy from the director of Eagle vs. Shark called Boy, and the Chinese action flick Let the Bullets Fly starring Chow Yun-Fat. Also, if you didn't catch it on demand, Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie is finally playing in a handful of theatres. It seems like a safe bet that The Lorax will take down Act of Valor at the box office, but hey, you never...

Having never seen the comedic TV work of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim ("Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!"), I went into their feature-length variation, "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie", braced for a merciless expansion of inside jokes that I would be terminally outside of. Mercifully, I was able to navigate these strange waters successfully enough to understand and even enjoy the film, even as it came apart in places. Aesthetically speaking, it's got about as much going for it as an early Kevin Smith film. Comically speaking, it's a downhill ride that starts out promising but then fizzles out....

Having watched five seasons of "Tim and Eric, Awesome Show Great Job!" -- the irreverent, awkward comedy show on Adult Swim -- you half-expect that an in-person interview with the duo is all part of some elaborate prank that will end with you having a giant bucket of puke dumped on your head. In truth, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, the creators of "Awesome Show" and stars of the upcoming spinoff, "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie," are totally normal guys. The film, which hits theaters in limited release this weekend, follows the duo as they try to repay their billion-dollar debt by re-opening a suburban mall. Poop gags, uncomfortable sex scenes and plenty of fake blood soon follow. Moviefone recently sat down with Tim and Eric to discuss "Billion Dollar Movie," jokes they consider off-limits, creating awkward comedy, and the walkouts that happened during their film's premiere at Sundance.

It's March! Which means spring is right around the corner. So why not celebrate the start of a new month with a few new movie releases? This weekend sees the opening of the colorful "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" and high-school party patrol flick "Project X." Will either film muster up enough strength to take on last week's surprise No. 1 movie, the Navy Seal-starring "Act of Valor"? For a guide to this week's slate of films, let's take a look at Moviefone's Weekend Movie Preview. However, Ted soon learns about the evil Once-ler (Ed Helms), a man who chops down the beautiful Truffulas in order to make a garment known as the Thneed. In order to win the girl of his dreams,...

The following is a reprint of our review from Sundance.
The comedy style that Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have perfected over five years on their completely bizarre Cartoon Network sketch comedy series "Tim and Eric, Awesome Show Great Job!" goes something like this: they dress up in funny outfits, get a bunch of celebrities (including Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Ted Danson, and Zach Galifianakis) to do the same, layer on screechy or slurpy sound effects, liberally punctuate with lots of screaming or crying, round out the cast with actors that look like they're either homeless or have been rescued from an insane asylum, and edit the entire thing like it's from some psychedelic version of a 1980s cable access channel. One of the assets of the show was that the episodes were only fifteen minutes long, so if you were disturbed, by, say, Will Ferrell playing a...

Two of TV's greatest pranksters are bringing their highly unstable mix of anarchy and awkward to the big screen as they roll out the diamond carpet for "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie."
Comedians Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim made a splash in 2004 with their Cartoon Network animated satire "Tom Goes to the Mayor," and continued to win a cult following on Adult Swim with "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" which featured bizarre infomercials, celebrity guests (Michael Cera, Paul Rudd, Ben Stiller) and characters that looked like they were plucked out of a methadone clinic.
Now "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie" finds the pair squandering a fortune on a terrible movie-within-a-movie starring a Johnny Depp lookalike. The psychotic billionaire who funded it wants his money back … in blood. The movie features guest cameos from Zach Galifianakis, John C. Reilly, Will Forte and Will Ferrell.

10 lucky UGOers won tickets from the Ugo Facebook page to the first ever New York screening of Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie and got to sit down with Ugo to watch it. Tim and Eric are given a whopping $1 billion to make a Hollywood blockbuster. Unfortunately, they squander every single penny. The sinister Schlaaang corporation, the team of big wigs funding the project, is pissed. Scared and on the run, the guys skip town in search of a way to pay back the billion. When they see a commercial to revive a rundown mall, they decide to drop the Hollywood act and kick it into high gear.
After the screening, Tim and Eric took the stage for a little Q&A action with Ugo editor Sal Basile. They explained the post-production process, their casting strategies and their obsession with dads. Many audience members were stopped in their tracks as...

Clearly I've chosen what is arguably the most anticipated film of 2012 for this question, but it's nonetheless a serious question as Magnolia prepares to debut Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie on Facebook tomorrow night, February 18, two weeks before it arrives in theaters. The online screening will take place at 6pm Pst, so this won't be a click on over and watch it whenever you want kind of thing. It will be a one-time only event and while fans are watching they will be able to chat directly with stars Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim all for $10 a piece. My question is, why don't major studios do this? After all, it's just another screening and they are getting the money directly. The Facebook live event is part of a partnership Magnolia struck up with a company called Milyoni, which specializes in such events. Through the use of their Social Live...

If you're familiar with Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim's brand of absurdist humor, then this interview with a local Fox news station out of Austin, Texas won't surprise you at all. The duo sat down to chat about their upcoming film, Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie, and, naturally, they didn't make things easy for the folks at Good Day Austin, whose clueless anchor really has no idea who he's dealing with, and Tim and Eric just use that to their advantage by not only torturing him with mindless tomfoolery, but also the surrounding production crew.
