George Lucas’ Star Wars saga is a trilogy of trilogies; The Return of The Jedi is the perfect film that honors the ending of the classic trilogy, and some even argue that the ending could not be any more perfect. Episode VI ended on a high note that honored the film’s epic story, ending Emperor Palpatine’s reign of terror and Darth Vader’s redemption with some old Force ghosts present at the celebration scene.

However, the film’s epic conclusion was nailed down by a plethora of drafts because Lucas could not decide on a script that ended the story on a high note. Moreover, in several drafts, the ending varied from the one we have seen in the final version of the film because it did not have enough dramatic effect.

Ahsoka included plenty of surprises for Star Wars fans, including Hayden Christensen's return as Anakin Skywalker. He appeared in the World Between Worlds (where we learned the Jedi was as conflicted as ever), as one of his former Padawan's training holograms later in the series, and eventually in the form of a Force Ghost.
In the show's final few minutes, the idea seemed to be that Anakin will serve as Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren's guide on Peridea when the show returns. Theories have since swirled about his and Ahsoka Tano's ties to the Mortis Gods.
As we first reported on SFFGazette.com, a rumour shared by @MyTimeToShineH claims to confirm plans for Anakin to appear in Ahsoka season 2, albeit in a much larger role this time. This news is bound to be welcomed, particularly as Star Wars fans have embraced Christensen since he reprised his role as Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

With the upcoming premiere of The Acolyte, Star Wars fans have been given a brand new narrative that sheds light on the other side of the epic franchise. Set to delve into the rise of The Sith order, the series’ events take place more than a century before those of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and is only one of the multiple exciting new projects that Lucasverse has on offer.

Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson and Hayden Christensen sat down for an Emmys for Your Consideration conversation in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, reflecting on the scenes between Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker in the show’s fifth episode, “Shadow Warrior.”
The episode serves as a reunion between Anakin and his former Padawan, as well as features a flashback to the World Between Worlds, with Ariana Greenblatt appearing as a younger version of Ahsoka. And after Christensen appeared in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series as his character’s Darth Vader side, this storyline brought him back as a Jedi.
At the event, he noted that creator Dave Filoni asked him if he knew about the World Between Worlds on their first phone call about the show, “and I said, ‘Yeah, I do.’ I was just instantly really excited because it just creatively opened us up a lot in terms of what we could do with the character.

Starkiller was the secret apprentice of Darth Vader in the 2008 video game “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.” His deep-rooted passion and knowledge of the franchise significantly contributed to his successful audition.
A self-proclaimed Star Wars geek, Witwer’s knowledge of the franchise is more than just trivia—it’s an intrinsic part of who he is. His performances as Starkiller, Darth Maul, and the Son of Mortis have left lasting impressions on fans and the franchise alike.

George Lucas’ Star Wars prequel trilogy chronicles Anakin Skywalker’s journey from Jedi to Sith along with the Galactic Republic’s descent into the Galactic Empire. Despite mixed reviews, the trilogy faced several challenges, notably in costume design, as characters evolved throughout the films, particularly Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker.

Actor John Boyega starred in three of the extant 16 "Star Wars" movies*, playing the rogue-Stormtrooper-turned-good guy Finn in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (2015), "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" (2017), and "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" (2019). Boyega liked playing Finn, but has gone on record (notably in a 2020 GQ interview) about his disappointment with how the series treated his character; Finn was set up to be a leading man, and was sidelined for what appeared to be racism-based reasons. Boyega was also off-put by Disney's habit of micromanaging "Star Wars," feeling that every one of the franchise's actors ran the risk of being roped into "Star Wars" projects exclusively. "You ain't going to Disney+ me," he once laughingly said to Variety.
There hasn't been a "Star Wars" movie since 2019, as Disney+ kind of killed their Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs. The theatrical market was oversaturated, audiences didn't respond terribly well...

When George Lucas’ Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope was released in 1977, it revolutionized the sci-fi genre. The film series combined classic themes with compelling storylines and well-written characters. Everything was neatly integrated with jaw-dropping visual effects and surreal world-building, making the audience fall in love with the series and have a massive impact on pop culture.

Back in 2018, "Dune" director Denis Villeneuve threw "Star Wars" fans into a tizzy (it doesn't take much these days) when he described his then-upcoming adaptation of Frank Herbert's seminal sci-fi novel as being like "'Star Wars' for adults." Of course, that's not really an insult to the franchise or its fans, because "Star Wars" creator George Lucas made no secret of the fact that "Star Wars" is intended for kids.
In fact, during a surprise appearance at Star Wars Celebration in 2017, he reiterated that the very first "Star Wars" installment, which would go on to be titled "A New Hope," was a "a film for 12-year-olds." Of course, that doesn't mean adults can't still find value in these sci-fi stories of heroism. But it also means that the franchise, from its inception, has always been molded to be appealing to children.

With just a few days to go until Star Wars: The Acolyte premiere on Disney+, the latest TV spot for the show offers a terrifying new glimpse at its mysterious Sith villain. The more we see of that helmet, the closer it looks to what Kylo Ren donned in the sequel trilogy.
Darth Vader's grandson being inspired by a powerful Sith from the past wouldn't be a huge surprise and this mysterious character clearly plays a pivotal role in bringing the Sith back to prominence.
Given The Acolyte's place in the Star Wars timeline, it still seems likely that Darth Plagueis or Darth Tenebrous is beneath the mask. However, Lucasfilm may be planning to make some significant changes to much of the lore established in Expanded Universe stories.

Since the days of finger painting stories on cave walls, storytellers have known the secret of telling a quality fable. If your characters have flaws, they will resonate, even the villains.
One-dimensional characters just don't cut it, even if they're relegated to a distant, supporting role.

George Lucas’ Star Wars is a vast and complex universe filled with its own mythos and artifacts. The filmmaker had reportedly crafted most elements while making the first film, while some of them were tweaked during subsequent sequels and prequels. One such element that has been debated is the way the Force works.
While the Force is something that someone trains to obtain control over, the prequel The Phantom Menace established the idea of midi-chlorians, a microorganism that every life form is made of. The concept was not impressive to many fans who felt it was more of a mystical element in the sci-fi films rather than having an actual scientific explanation.

While the filmmaker remains the mastermind behind the galactic saga, the cast has also occasionally contributed to its development, with actors like Samuel L. Jackson and Harrison Ford suggesting enhancements to improve the final product on screen.

He may have created Star Wars, one of the most beloved sci-fi properties in history, but filmmaker George Lucas has a complicated relationship with the franchise's fans.
Whether it's the prequels which were deemed a let-down by original trilogy devotees or the fact he made sweeping changes to those classic movies with various re-releases, Lucas has long clashed with admirers of his work.
New technology saw him frequently make sweeping changes to A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Those ranged from blinking Ewoks to a massively overhauled Death Star battle, and even Darth Vader screaming "Noooo!" as he threw Emperor Palpatine to his temporary death (Hayden Christensen was even inserted into Episode VI's final scene).
Perhaps the biggest issue, though, was the fact the original versions of Star Wars are now near-impossible to find.

Anakin Skywalker’s descent into the dark side is the most tragic aspect of the original and prequel trilogy, as George Lucas deemed the first six movies as the Tragedy of Darth Vader. While the prequel trilogy was seen as a letdown compared to its predecessors, the time has been kind to these features, especially for its exploration of the complexity of Vader as a character.
Although several aspects contributed to Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader in the original trilogy, this could’ve been avoided had Mace Windu trained him instead of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s failings as a teacher played a major part in Anakin’s fall into the dark side, as the Jedi Master struggled between his duties to the council and respecting Qui-Gon’s last wish.

George Lucas’ original Star Wars trilogy introduced fans to Darth Vader and the character continues to provide fascinating avenues for storytelling even today. However, Lucas chose to finally tell Vader’s complete origin story in the Star Wars prequels, focusing on a young Anakin Skywalker before he fell to the dark side of the Force.

However, Vader’s origin story did not turn out to be what fans were expecting from the epic space opera saga. During an interview, Lucas addressed what fans were demanding for Vader’s origins in the prequels and why he did not pay any heed to fan demand. Instead, Lucas crafted a different and more nuanced tale that ended up polarizing fans. Here is what George Lucas had to say about Vader’s origin story.

When you think of the Star Wars films, George Lucas is the immediate name that comes to mind. The pioneering efforts of the genius filmmaker created a new cinematic revolution in Hollywood that is still seen as the benchmark for all aspiring sci-fi directors today.

But Lucas could well have had competition in this space if popular novelist and screenplay writer David Goyer had gone through with his original script for a Star Wars film. The Man of Steel writer who is also known for his work in other Marvel and DC films, had written a story which was to have been helmed by none other than Guillermo Del Toro, but failed to materialize.

“What do you people out there want?!” a Warner Bros. executive might be forgiven for asking after arguably the worst Memorial Day weekend box office in 40 years. Despite Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga opening to glowing reviews, glitzy standing ovations at the Cannes Film Festival, and as part of a revered IP franchise whose last installment is considered one the best summer movies ever—Mad Max: Fury Road is a six-time Oscar winner!—the prequel’s box office still marked the lowest debut for a number one Memorial Day release since Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. And that came out in 1984.
Estimated to have grossed $31 million over the four-day weekend (and a meager $25 over the three-day) Furiosa’s first weekend box office bow is playing in the same neighborhood as when Harrison Ford’s archaeologist went to India and and Luke Skywalker fighting Darth Vader was considered a novelty.

Created by George Lucas, the Star Wars franchise is one of the most epic sagas ever told. From the fall of Anakin Skywalker to Luke Skywalker’s eventual defeat of the Emperor, it is a classic tale of good vs evil. As a result, it is obvious that the saga required a compelling antagonist and the Sith Lord Palpatine might just be one of the best villains in the franchise.

Developed in the early ‘70s by George Lucas, Star Wars, as a franchise, has grown to juggernaut heights both in net worth and creative output. Ever since the release of the first film, it has continued to capture the imaginations of countless people across the globe and become more or less synonymous with everyday pop culture. Regardless of its juggernaut impact, it too, has not managed to get away from flaws and misses and landed criticisms, especially for its prequel trilogy.

There is little to no doubt that George Lucas is a legendary name in the film business. As the proponent of the epic Star Wars franchise, the now 80-year-old gave the world one of the most famous fantasy series of all time. The director of the original movie, and executive producer of the two sequels, Lucas returned to direct the prequel trilogy series as well, from 1995-2005.
While the series in itself is generally considered flawless, there is one major element of the six movies that have been criticized, time and again. This is the fact that all the human characters in the movie only featured white actors, suggesting that black people simply do not exist in the space saga.

While such a move would have been a huge problem in today’s climate, George Lucas recently went into detail about this aspect of the series.

We've all experienced those moments of crescendo in the movies.
Scenes that pull on your gut and fill it with butterflies are nothing new, especially in the theater, with its massive screen and booming sound.
But whoever said that crescendo moments are reserved for the big screen only?
The small screen is rife with scenes that pull on your gut and fill it with butterflies (usually around the time you really have to go to the bathroom and can't bring yourself to press pause).
Moments like the infamous scene where Darth Vader discontinued Luke's hand and told him, "I'm your daddy," are found across the fruited plains of streaming entertainment.
Even better, you don't have to go looking for them because we did the hard work (it was actually pretty easy and fun) for you and rounded up some of these incredible TV moments that will have you waxing poetic...

Revenge Of The Sith marks a pivotal moment in the Star Wars universe, particularly the Skywalker Saga as it cements Anakin Skywalker’s turn to the Dark Side. The film features several brutal moments, which slowly build up to Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader after he succumbs to the Dark Side.
Count Dooku’s death is one of the most brutal moments in Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith (Image Credit: Lucasfilm).
However, one brutal moment from the film, namely the death of Count Dooku at the hands of Anakin wasn’t exactly scripted as it appears in the final film. Instead, the scene was changed during the conceptualization of the duel’s stunt choreography and added Count Dooku’s brutal fate. Given the complex emotions the scene was trying to convey, actor Christopher Lee brilliantly portrayed Count Dooku’s death despite the scene being changed on the fly.

Even though his character's backstory has been explored to death through a myriad of books, prequels, TV shows, animated series, and more, Darth Vader remains one of the best movie villains of all time, especially if you're only looking at the original "Star Wars" trilogy. Not only is he a scary, menacing, deadly presence in that original trilogy, but he also has a tragic arc, eventually redeeming himself despite a lifetime of terrible deeds.
The redemption would come later, though. For the first film, originally titled "Star Wars" but commonly thought of now as "A New Hope" (since there are so many other movies with "Star Wars" in the title), writer-director George Lucas had one main goal: make his big bad villain scary. Darth Vader had to be an ominous presence from the jump. The audience had to take one look at the guy and immediately know he was bad news.

Clint Eastwood is one of the leading pioneers of actors and filmmakers who popularized the Western genre and elevated it during his prime. The actor’s collaborations with Sergio Leone on the Dollars trilogy changed Westerns forever. Eastwood carried on the legacy of those who came before him and elevated the genre by taking it into unexplored territory with many of his Westerns.

Nicolas Cage is going to star in the upcoming independent horror film titled Longlegs. While the film looks very modern, it’s actually a throwback to one Old Hollywood icon. Interestingly the director of Longlegs has a major connection to the icon in question.
Nicolas Cage’s ‘Longlegs’ was inspired by 1 of the best directors ever
Longlegs will be directed by Oz Perkins. So far, Perkins is most famous for his films I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House and Gretel & Hansel. During a 2020 interview with Polygon, Perkins discussed Longlegs, saying it was inspired by the work of cinematic legend Alfred Hitchcock. Hitchcock is remembered for horror films and thrillers such as Psycho, The Birds, Rear Window, Vertigo, and North by Northwest. His movies often have good humor and a psychosexual subtext. Hitchcock might be the most acclaimed director of all time, with Stanley Kubrick being his only real rival.

The Star Wars franchise is one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time and has spawned multiple films, shows, animated series, and comic books. The Galaxies created by George Lucas changed pop culture as well as blockbuster filmmaking since the first film was released in 1977. The film earned $775 million against a budget of $11 million.
While Lucas directed the first film in the original trilogy, he wanted to take more of a creative producer role in subsequent films of the original trilogy. The Empire Strikes Back was helmed by Irvin Kershner while Return of the Jedi was directed by Richard Marquand. However, Lucas reportedly first had David Lynch in mind for the latter.
