Viva Las Vegas! The 2000s-era NBC drama will soon — for the first time ever — be available for fans to stream. Las Vegas will join Peacock’s streaming library on Friday, December 29, according to TVLine. Airing more than 100 episodes between 2003 and 2008, Las Vegas followed an elite surveillance team keeping order at the (fictional) Montecito Resort & Casino, a premier Sin City destination. The late James Caan starred as Montecito security head Ed Deline, with Josh Duhamel playing his protégé, former U.S. Marine Danny McCoy. Together, Ed and Danny dealt with “card-counting cheaters, costly streaks of random luck, and rival casinos stealing their big-money players,” as NBC explained. But Ed and Danny’s relationship was also complicated by the former finding the latter in bed with his daughter, Delinda Deline (Molly Sims). Other Montecito regulars included the high-priced escort Mary Connell (Nikki Cox), the all-knowing valet Mike Cannon (James Lesure), pit boss...

With the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes over, ABC is looking ahead to 2024, and sadly, it's bad news for fans of The Rookie Feds and The Good Lawyer.
The network confirmed late Thursday that The Rookie: Feds had been canceled after a single season, while The Good Doctor spinoff would not be getting a formal series order.
The news for both projects is a bit of a surprise, but given the network's now-stacked midseason slate, these kinds of decisions are expected in the coming weeks.
The Rookie: Feds launched last fall on ABC to a tepid response and middling ratings.
Niecy Nash headlined the spinoff, which was paired with The Rookie at midseason, leading to some of both shows best numbers.
The series also benefited from a robust digital footprint, signaling that while there was interest in the show, many of the viewers weren't interested in watching live.
But the two-punch...

ABC’s The Rookie: Feds has been canceled after one season.
A decision on whether the network would renew the freshman drama led by Niecy Nash-Betts was delayed for months amid the ongoing dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, both of which have recently concluded. The ratings for The Rookie: Feds were modest and were trending in a positive direction, as Deadline reported in May.
The Rookie: Feds, the only ABC singular-lead hourlong broadcast series headlined by a Black actor, was not the breakout hit the original Rookie was but delivered respectable ratings that could’ve been enough to secure a second season had it not been for the dual strikes.
Nash-Betts starred as Simone, a former guidance counselor living her dream of becoming an FBI agent, making her the oldest rookie in the agency. Taking on the role came with challenges as many doubted her capabilities, mainly her boss,...

ABC still has some decisions to make on its scripted slate.
The network has yet to make final calls on renewals for comedy Home Economics and The Rookie: Feds as well as The Good Lawyer, a backdoor pilot spinoff of The Good Doctor.
It comes after ABC passed on four of its pilots: Anthony Anderson-fronted Public Defenders and Ellie Kemper-led Keeping It Together, which is a remake of British comedy Motherland, as well as dramas The Hurt Unit, starring Melissa George and Ben McKenzie, and Judgement starring Sex/Life’s Sarah Shahi.
Deadline understands that ABC is unlikely to make all of these decisions until the writers strike is over and the future of the fall season is clearer. A decision on Home Economics may come first out of the three.

The FBI’s oldest rookie will stay on the case for a while longer.
ABC has picked up a full season of its first-year show The Rookie: Feds, starring Niecy Nash-Betts as Simone Clark, the aforementioned new FBI agent. The network has given an old-school, back nine order to the drama, bringing its total for the season to 22 episodes.
A spinoff of The Rookie, now in its fifth season, Feds was introduced in an episode of the former show last season before earning a spot on ABC’s fall slate. The show has performed modestly on air so far, averaging a little under 2 million viewers the night it airs. It draws considerably more viewers, however, after it airs — doubling to 3.96 million viewers after a week of delayed viewing.
The Sept. 27 premiere also added about 2 million viewers via streaming, giving it a seven-day, multi-platform audience of about 6.4 million viewers.
