Roger Corman finally accepted himself as an iconic filmmaker for this, his final show for A.I.P.. Barely released and long considered a failure, Gas-s-s-s – Or – It Became Necessary to Destroy the World in Order to Save It sees Corman and his writer associate George Armitage attempting a Mad magazine- like amalgam of all the counterculture trends of the late 1960s. We were lucky enough recently to sit down with Elijah Wood, Robin WIlliams, Hank Azaria, Common, and director George Miller to discus the intricacies of making an animated feature, voice acting and all things Happy Feet Two. Check out the transcript of our chat below:
George, can you talk about your collaboration with Savion Glover and the challenges of choreographing so many different sizes and shapes of animated wildlife?
George Miller: Well, the first thing to know is that I can’t sing and I can’t dance, and so in a way I had no right to be there. But we had very, very good choreographers and people who really understand music. Everyone from the composer John Powell to three choreographers—in this case Wade Robson, who did the earlier material; Dein Perry, you might know him from Tap Dogs, who did all the tapping later on; and Kate Warmald,...

Cheryl Cole has reportedly hired a new team to help her fit in in America.
The X Factor judge is said to be planning a make-under and a de-wag restyle and she thinks the woman to help her is Victoria Beckham’s former stylist Victoria Adcock.
A source told Now:
‘Top stylist Victoria Adcock, who helped Posh de-wag herself, is putting together a series of ladylike outfits for Cheryl.’
‘She’s also going on a strict diet and exercise boot camp.
‘She has her pick of Hollywood personal trainers, but she wants Jennifer Lopez’s fitness instructor Gunnar Peterson.
‘She feels she’s currently too heavy by La standards and wants to tone up.’
Too heavy? Cheryl Cole? This has to be crap! She is one of the skinniest stars around.
Cheryl is also thought to have hired a voice coach to help her soften her thick Geordie accent and...

Sharon Osbourne has said that she believes Cheryl Cole will be a success in America. The former X Factor judge previously admitted that she doubted the Girls Aloud star would land a role on the Us version of the competition. It was claimed yesterday that Cole will work with vocal coach Bob Corff to ensure that the American audience understand her. "Americans won’t understand a bloody word of unadulterated Geordie," Osbourne told The Mirror. "But with a little help - and those gorgeous Bambi eyes - she'll win the audience over. Cheryl will be great. "She needs to know what she can and can't say, (more)...

X Factor USA bosses have reportedly ordered that Cheryl Cole have elocution lessons before joining the judging panel, or else the show could be fined.
The ‘Promise This’ singer – who was born and bred in Newcastle, North East England – has been promised a prominent role on the new show by Simon Cowell but has been ordered by Us network Fox to work on softening her strong regional accent and drop certain sayings and phrases that American audiences won’t understand.
A source told the The Mirror newspaper: “If audiences and contestants can’t understand her it is actually a regulatory offence.
“Cheryl will be told not to use the word ‘babe’ to describe a pretty girl. Other key words she’s being taught include saying ‘pants’ and not ‘trousers’, ‘butt’ not ‘bum’ and ‘cookies’ not ‘biscuits’.
“They also want to clamp down on her saying ‘pet’ which literally means ‘animal’ in the States.
