The X-Files: Deadalive (2001)
Season 8, Episode 15

Something dies in you... for ever
5 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
A mother loses her child at young age, a kid never sees his six-year-old best friend after one afternoon, a cat disappears on a family in the dead of winter...

The mother will not be the same after being reunited with her child.

The kid will always yearn for a friend, for "the" friendship even if he meets his six-year-old best friend years later.

The family will miss the old dynamics even when the cat's found and happily playing around them.

Mulder followed his destiny, and this meant going off the center of the show.

Okay, maybe the actor had to clear his calendar. But still, the audience is lead to have invested in the show to an extent that the departure of Mulder from the center of the show, or possibly from the show, hurts them by producing mixed feelings...

F.i. Who is this new guy Doggett, and will he replace Mulder? Will Scully still long for Mulder, or move past her relationship with Mulder, and become very close with Doggett in a very short time? Will Mulder ever return? Should he return as he might had found what he had been been looking for?

All these were very strong points the show used carefully. Not much of anything felt forced. The episodes were bizarre and interesting. And even the music was binding when it came to Mulder. And the audience started liking Agent Doggett... He was brave, analytical, honest and hardworking...

Then Mulder's returned... Oh, boy have our hurt deepened!... We do not know what will happen with the new trio. And we especially care for Agent Doggett, and his feelings... More importantly... We feel that the old Mulder is long gone... And this will hurt for ever. So, this season has been of the best so far for this humane sentiment and reason... for we can never get back in time for the sweetest of things.

"Then We brought you back to life after your death that perhaps you would be grateful." The 56th Verse of the Chapter called "The Cow" in the Gracious Koran... Amen.

As a Muslim, I liked it.
26 August 2019
What's a saint?..

We would not just point out the inner state of the saithood inside Christianity. In Islam there is the awliyahood, for example. In truth, in every well-established religion there is certain levels which normal adherents of that religion may not reach during their life-long journey.

And in history of those religions in question, many saints are believed to had came and passed. And they had set out examples on how to live and act. In this series, we are to see how a modern-time Pope may believe, behave and reflect in this age of depression. The scene the Pope gives his homely is strong in respect to this.

Whilst he tries to hold onto his beliefs dealing with whatsoever doubts / insights / waywardness he has -emanating from today's Western mentality-, he also takes steps to restore Papacy to its former glory.

Okay, the homosexuality, the worldliness are of the "x files" no one could dare touch but only to spread the admiration towards the Church, and the freedom of speech and and that of thinking to prevent the child abuse, the hypocrisy, and the farawayness of the people concerning the Catholic Church.

What this new Pope does is that he simply shows us how could a modern-age man will gaze upon the matters whilst being affected by not only the profanity, but also the feeling and the mentality watered by depression which is the signature factor in identifying today's human beings.

And yes, if the members of a religion want some progressive measures, even the Pope may not deny them their wishes. But still, the Young Pope, with all his confusion in, is a modern day Saint. So, I cannot let my beliefs interfere here as they indicate that there can be no progression concerning the pillars of Islam, save the daily, practical dealings that change from age to age based only on the pillars.

Here is a Verse of my religion:

"They have taken to themselves as lords beside Allah their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only One God. There is no God save Him. Be He Glorified from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)!"

The 31st Verse of the 9th Chapter (called Tawba / Repentance) in the Gracious Koran.

I am giving the Pope an A in religion! And that's my idea! That... is an original thought!

A heavenly smile touches down on melancholy...
4 August 2019
Normally, I'd refrain from reviewing films with humanly touch... By touch, I mean physical touch... Because it is put in the film to confuse us or to draw us off of the poor quality of the film. So that we could enjoy a little of nudity and even save some for later... later when we are alone.

This film is well-beyond that characterization.

And some films resort to the beauty of the nature, or that of the lands. So that we could be distracted and never notice the bad dialogue, the overly-manifest storyline, the underacting and such.

This film is well-past that buffoonery.

The film, first of all, has no pointy edges. It starts, introduces the characters, shows the conflicts, but never cuts the gordian knot. As if the story is real, and the cameraman was lucky enough to be there.

Secondly, it is not all bright and shiny... On the contrary, it is mostly of the olympian melancholy. And maybe this is why it touches the most inferior, uneasy and dream-like sides of ours.

All the acting is of high-grade and de luxe! The directorial initiative is never to be in question. The story, the screenplay would not satisfy but the dead.

The set, the photography in Italy, we drink in. Wow... It makes us remember the holy remark:

"And We sent not before thee (any messengers) except men to whom We revealed from among the folk of cities. So have they not traveled through the earth and observed the nature of the consequence for those before them? And verily the abode of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah ; then will you not reason?" The 109th Verse of The Chapter of Joseph (12) in the Gracious Koran. Amen.

If I am to point out things that are personal, I could say that a heavenly smile stars in this great film...

The Nun (2018)
6/10
Valaks of Modern Age May Use Instagram, too?.. Oh.
9 December 2018
In every religious culture, there is the balance between the forces of good and those of evil.

In Islam, between the Shaytaaneen (the Satans) and the Saaleheen (the righteous ones); in Zoroastrianism, between Ahura Mazda (the Wise Lord) and Angra Mainyu (the Destructive Principle) and in Christianism, between Lucifer and the Holy Trinity.

And each culture tries to give meaning to the nature of good and evil to guide its believers to the blessing warding off the wicked.

These ways are not of a scientific pursuit nor should they had ever been of. To think of this; a nun walks out of a monastery and finds herself cornered by a fox near a waterfall... She immediately repents of her trespasses as it must happen because of her inefficacy. Or a Muslim walks through an alley in a neighborhood and hears a whimper near-by though he sees no one... He immediately says the prayer of Ayat al-Kursi (The Throne Verse - 2 : 255 in the Gracious Koran) in a low voice to take refuge in Allah as it could be the doing of a godless djinn.

In this movie, we are not to experience some horror with casual link. In fact, this is not a horror movie but an anthology of, a requiem for the old ways and understandings in Christianity. So, I could not rate it as a horror movie.

One can see the vividness concerning the movie set, as it speaks to us - to the modern people - in half decay, half promise. Because of this, I have felt the mournful horror; not the gory horror watching the movie.

Science, as it is of comfort, strips us off the essence, the esprit... So, we can be stuck with the question of how Father Burke is buried, or how a ground is holy, or how Valak posseses Frenchie when it is seen fighting Sister Irene, if only "the cause and effect principle" is of our way approaching this movie. That is why, I like this movie. Okay, its poster makes it seem like a mediocre horror flick; and its artistic execution might have been much better reinforced with some innovatory, epochal scaring tactics. But I don't think it deserves such low rating. Valak may be responsible. (What?.. I am modern enough!)

There is the Verse of my culture here upon the matter:

"Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the Daybreak * From the evil of that which He created; * From the evil of the darkness when it is intense, * And from the evil of malignant witchcraft, * And from the evil of the envier when he envieth."

Allah wills so in the Chapter of Al-Falaq (The Daybreak) in the Gracious Koran. Sadaqa Allaah al-'Azeem (Allah, the Most High, Speaks the truth.)

Modern Bombastic Lives...
25 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Simulation Andre... commences in 3... 2... 1...

I sit down with my friend in a cozy, little cafe with its many-colored strap on to attract all kinds of creatures. I order pitta bread (pide) filled with cheese, he orders one filled with potato purée, without breaking eye contact. We drink vichy water while exchanging words concernant the haywire of the world.

After a couple of minutes, we share of our ideal routine with a "simply wonderful woman" that involves sitting without sloth, drinking slightly-sugared Turkish coffee, talking without a word. No material of de luxe feature needed!

It's not of any consequence that we heave a sigh considering the difficulty one faces building up one's live towards an uncertain future. A wife, a kid, a remote control... these are really easy or of the essence to reach and touch?..

As the slender waisted tea glasses follow one another emptied, we know that the life is better with the mirth and the blues.

Then my friend and I promise each other the dreams we are going to achieve in the name of a universal, two-worldly benevolence for all life, under an early starred sky!

The simulation terminated.

Let's get to the movie review, shall we?..

First of all, it is not % 100 well-constructed a movie. One can feel the sketch-like composition of it. There is right-on-point kind of beginning though a little rushed, and it fails to prepare us for the plot not; so, it's good.

We delve into the atmospher of the '80s in the background rather fairly. In fact, as there are cinematically masterpieces in every decade since the emergence of the Cinema, My Dinner with Andre marks the improvement in movie making overall for you feel the theatrical, tuneless rawness during the beginning and the end also.

The actors are just there, living all for the first time with us and for us!

Even so, one might step forward and claim that this is what fills the gap between a movie and the reality. Well, that's actually pretty feasible and fair!..

The talks, and the gestures and the facial expressions are just the core of this movie. What is life other than a constant catching up with the restful answers?.. And we humans do it in a convincing, a dramatic, a rapacious way!..

This gentleman of a character, such as an even-tempered Muslim should do following the instructions of the Prophet of Allah, pinches us where we are most vulnerable against the modern civilization!

We are all Andre in one form or another throughout our lives, just like if we are to close our eyes hopelessly to the truth not! After all, we are all going to die... whether in peace or in discomfort.

Here, some verse of my culture:

"And He it is Who sendeth the winds as tidings heralding His mercy, till, when they bear a cloud heavy (with rain), We lead it to a dead land, and then cause water to descend thereon and bring forth every kind of harvest therewith. Thus bring We forth the dead. Haply ye may remember."

Allah ordains so in the 57th Verse of the 7th Chapter (Family of Imran) in the Gracious Koran.

Gulenist not!..
17 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Can one, under this afternoon sun, ever miss the daughter one doesn't have; or feel guilty over a grave sin one has not commited; or just kiss the odds of never having that "special" life?..

We've all got to breathe a sigh of... relief?..

Let's get to the "twin-sized" story of the Earth's soft belly. In Berlin.

A portal with a diplomatic coverage.

One side works out environmental "wronging" of ours, while the other gets better at not having a flue outbreak?..

What is most sensible is that we should name the sides.

The one with our simple, unversed, well-mannered Howard Silk is C-1, from now on (Counterpart-1? Or short for Silk-1?), and the other is C-2.

Anyone who has a problem with this profiling can cast a voodoo on me. (I am not crazy, mr. Birdman. Not quite mein tempo...)

Let's review the main cast.

Ms. Sara Serraiocco is a good choice for a character so vulnerable and vicious (Baldwin).

Ms. Olivia Williams puts that British style of high cabaling into use beautifully. Convincingly sad, she is.

Mr. Harry Lloyd plays his part, but rather jejunely, is a sentence one utters wrongfully until the 6th episode which reveals the baleful play his wife lays in the C-1 in.

Oh, ms. Nazanin Boniadi!

One may think that it is far-fetched in the real world, confining it to the screenplay. But... as a Turk of Turkey, I'd personally attest to the secret operational events close to the ones in the series or even weightier ones that had happened in Turkey during the last 5 decades under the instructions of the ringleader of the Gulenist Movement, Fethullah Gülen.

Ali Yazici, the millitary assistant to the President of Turkey was in fact a Gulenist / Fetoist and he continually leaked information up until the moment of the military coup d'état on July 15th 2016 when an assassination squad was on their way to capture (or kill) Erdogan based on his guidance.

The likes of you are everywhere, ms. Clare!..

The intro spins in our heads, and we try to figure out what'll happen next...

To be continued (with the acting of J.K. Simmons and the plot) ...

The X-Files: Colony (1995)
Season 2, Episode 16
10/10
Vying one with another.
11 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
An ability to change the appearance... A different set of internal organs... An "unearthly" program to follow...

Who can prove the fairness of the claim that the Earth is just for people?.. Yes. No one can. As in the idea of conquering the world or dominating its bazaars with the tool of dollar!..

Nowadays, some companies that hold billions are carrying out an operation upon the economy of Turkey and sending the lira to a record low against the US dollar; and on top of that, the President of USA increases metals tariffs on Turkey while imposing some sanctions.

Why?.. For lining up with the resistant countries against the "secret lords?" An American pastor who acts like an alien bounty hunter in Turkey laughs at this, probably...

Or, is it fair?..

Some might feel like Agent Fox Mulder in the light of all these. I, one of them.

In conclusion, the human being appreciates the plainness. That's why a mother suffers most not when her daughter dies, but when there'll be no remains of her afterwards.

As simple as that, even the extraterrestrial beings have a "natural" right exist, as the right to love not one another; but it should be so... professedly.

To be continued with the socond part...

"And many of them dost thou see vying one with another in sin and transgression and their devouring of illicit gain. Verily evil is what they do!"

Allah tells so, in the 62nd Verse of the 5th Chapter (The Table Spread) in the Gracious Koran.

Amen.

Sinister not!..
26 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Dana is in critical condition, out of what an incorporeal / a ghostlike lady relieves her, and her near-death situation deprives Mulder of the common sense to the point that he nearly pulled the trigger not only on the Cancer Man, thanks, of course, to the help of the Assistant Director Skinner, who apparently has a soft spot for the dryly realized justice, but on some insidious agents too, while the discrete helper shows Mulder what he'd become in order to get to the bottom of that whole conspiracy.

Everyone has a probable breaking point... May we continue to try / pray that we'll be even stronger (than Mulder... or our current selves) if a time / test such as this comes.

(John Kramer likes this post. A''!)

The idea of the Cancer Man, really trying to serve the humanity for calamities befall it not, is not an easy one. But still, in the future, we'll see even more sinister ones. Maybe.

Oh, don't we know that the Master of Hell may like a cup of cold icetea?.. Hot dam...

This is so thick, profound a screewriting. Wow! The series almost spills every mystery here.

It's, by far, one of the best episodes of the entire series so far.

We can only take half a point off for the scenarits made use of an incorporeal help without even explaining or hinting at why. Okay, it can happen. But what about Scully's father?..

The Gracious Koran - in the 155th and 156th Verses of the Chapter of The Cow - speaks of the terrestrial tests:

"And certainly We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast,

Who say, when a suffering striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning."

Amen.

Season 2, Episode 4

We all died... trust me.
12 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
What's immortality?.. The ability to live forever?

Well, in that case, how does one live forever, and when?.. In this episode, which is the best of the season so far, we see coding, dealing, fighting, and remembering.

William tries to prolong the life of his father-in-law. Why?.. Remembrance.

What would be done by transfering James' conscious to a "host"?.. Will it be in a way to ensure the eternity for James, if not in Afterlife?..

I may die while praying, playing or paying. Just like James did. The company were to record my conscious in detail and even prissily. Just like they did with James. When they bring "me" back, is it definitely me people would greet?.. James definitely died. I will definitely die.

There is no way to cheat death for us, earthborn ones. Therefore, whatever / whoever they bring back would be me - version 1.2 at best.

The series has revealed a new dimension: synthetic bodies with human conscious... True splice! Wow!

The acting is good as always.

The new character, who is William's daughter, promises to strengthen the connection between the man in black who lost his heart long before and William who's in search of purpose.

We'll see.

The 34th Verse in the 21st Chapter called "The Prophets" in the Gracious Koran says:

"We appointed immortality for no mortal before thee(on Earth). What! in case thou diest, can they be immortal!"

Amen.

Societies need to care for one another...
10 July 2018
Let's start with a nonsense example, or two:

To see Michael Jackson in white, other than white-skinned is way too normal. To have a baby with your wife, other than with your neighbor's is way too normal.

What am I trying to indicate here?.. Let me try some more...

Taylor is close friends with his partner Zavala. They get along pretty nicely. Their becoming close friends is inevitable with respect to sociology, can we say?..

So, their being from different races would not "necessarily" interfere with their friendship nor work.

Okay, culture tends to run the streets all around the world. That means Michael Jackson's taught to become whiter in order to be better, and a man's taught to have an "unjustifiable" affair with his neighbor's wife after seeing pious people become obsessed over the soap operas on TV.

To flout is another deed of a human being, right?..

We are being taught inequality in every possible way, for peace is cheaper to the reapers of the world...

The scenario is mediocre and somewhat darker than enough. Okay, this life may get dark... But this scenario does not convey a clear warning to us, so that we can change the world accordingly.

The soundtracks suit the movie.

Hoever, the avting of Michael Peña, and especially that of Jake Gyllenhaal is somewhat unrivalled to a point that we can say this is their movie!..

The camera work, in truth, serves as a tool to lend persuasiveness to the movie. To feel like we are all being recorded is a way to pretty ourselves up... wow!

So, praise to David Ayer!..

Here is a Verse of my culture:

"O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! The noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware."

The 13th Verse of the 49th Chapter (The Rooms) in the Gracious Koran.

Amen.

Supernatural: Good Intentions (2018)
Season 13, Episode 14
9/10
Still carrying on... and proud!
22 June 2018
Let's resume:

The Winchester boys are human. They eat, sleep and make mistakes while they keep on fighting the evil. And their loved ones either get hurt for them, or become better people by their hand and cause.

Castiel is an angel. No, he was an angel. Castiel is a humanized angel. He never eats, sleeps, or gets a head full of corrupted and tempting thoughts unless his reserve for angel grace is low; that is not seldom.

Marry Winchester is the reason the viewer starts the series and continues, and she is a true example of the human kind in this age, that experiences thick sadness and feels like ten kurush (a dime) waiting for change, while on track to reach and achieve goodness.

Bobby Singer is the ideal mix of everything that is to say, ranging from a lovingly cursing uncle to a blaster-like monster hunter!..

Lucifer! We can never know how Satan fares with this portrayal by Mark Pellegrino other than we may believe how the real Satan will do evil in keeping with our own cultural heritage. Boy, is he not successful!..

Jack is... something else. The actor playing Jack, that is mr. Alexander Calvert, gives away this humane vibe out of his juvenile, upright form that's about to be imprinted onto our hearts somehow.

He's the future to this show, we feel. Even after the show ends, he can act in the Supernatural Universe with the Wayward Sisters, who are to step into this game with a sound stroke, thanks mostly to ms. Kim Rhodes (Sheriff Jody Mills) and ms. Kathryn Newton (Claire Novak).

This episode reminds us of the way Supernatural operates. Angels, demons, monsters, humans and the faculty of free will backed with the guiding spirit of reason, heart and revelation... and the war to reign over all in between them.

The writers can still grasp the rippled structure of the human kind which paves the way for this linear flat called life. Supernatural is the life.

Here is two Verses of my culture:

"-And when there cometh unto them a messenger from Allah, confirming that which they possess, a party of those who have received the Scripture fling the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they knew not,

-And follow that which the devils falsely related against the kingdom of Solomon.

Solomon disbelieved not; but the devils disbelieved, teaching mankind magic and that which was revealed to the two angels in Babel, Harut and Marut.

Nor did they (the two angels) teach it to anyone till they had said:

'We are only a temptation, therefore disbelieve not (in the guidance of Allah).'

And from these two (angles) people learn that by which they cause division between man and wife; but they injure thereby no-one save by Allah's leave.

And they learn that which harmeth them and profiteth them not.

And surely they do know that he who trafficketh therein will have no (happy) portion in the Hereafter; and surely evil is the price for which they sell their souls, if they but knew."

The Gracious Koran: 2 (The Cow) : 101 - 102.

Why are we afraid of an honorable death?.. Not funny, little girl.
15 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The girl. Start with the girl, shall we?..

We do not have to worry over the girl as to why people 'd place her in this kind of a movie or, why people 'd get scared more than they should during a given movie just because this girl plays in the movie. People could feel entrapped listening to the sound of nature, or brighten up watching a documentary on war, or dream for better in front of a Tv channel that broadcasts Somalian hunger... or feel devastated right after feeding a poor monkey.

That is absurd... not to judge. But hey, people cannot behave in conformity with the prospect of generalisation. This is why any rule must be of an authority that is higher than that of a single person or a petite community... namely God.

So, the deed of casting this girl (oh, should we praise the girl, for the fact that she looks different, by saying "this angel", or "this beautiful girl?") may not have anything to do with the fearsomeness of the script and the movie; only God knows.

The script is so down to earth, and dramatic for a horror movie. And the director executes it rather well, only with the contribution of the actors in from of a brilliant acting.

Especially the way Ms. Toni Collette performs makes it hard to believe that this is a horror movie at all!

What's more is that Mr. Alex Wolff devotes himself to the task. On top of all, the long-take scenes render the movie to be of the artistic venture. We wait, we see, and we experience.

By the way, where is "the technique" of jump scare to be seen throughout the movie?.. This is good.

The happenings in the movie seem near-natural than magical. The bird, the car accident, the allergical fit, the sleepwalking, the worship at the end... All but the scenes of possessed Annie. Also, the music with no unsettling tunes and timing is not abrupt but different. All these do refresh the movie.

Maybe this is not a horror movie, under newly-thought-upon considerations, that it has strong drama, powerful acting, a dark but real-like script. We may call this genre... horama?..

Oh, we are not experts.

The saying of the Prophet of my culture upon the matter:

"Allah does not look at your figures, nor at your attire but He looks at your hearts and your deeds." The Source: Muslim, Birr, 33; Ibn Majah, Zuhd, 9; Ahmad b. Hanbal, 2/285, 539.

And the Verse of Allah's book, the Gracious Koran:

"O mankind! Lo! We have created you of a male and a female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Ever-Knowing, Ever-Aware." The Source: The 13th Verse of the 49th Chapter (called The Rooms) in the Gracious Koran.

Amen.

We will all belong...
9 June 2018
She has that quirky, heavenly smile, an overjoyous perspective, and an eccentric sense of life... on top of being an orphaned soul, nearly stripped off of the dream to belong to a loving, dreamy family.

Anne puts up a great struggle against the hardship that reveal itself in forms of "a strict lady who pushes too much", "some blunt kids that never empathise", and "a pair of the same blood that has never seen love!" She can probably imbibe a greengage seed to live a little more in all this!

One could have about a billion theories on Anne's fate. One may not be about their business, and may wonder about the end. (Please, let us be positive, would you; O mighty fans of Thanos!)

I wonder if there is any relationship between Ms. Alias Grace and dear Anne Shirley Cuthbert!..

I fear, when an angelic girl is pulled down to any swampland, she'll turn to a fallen heroine such as Alias Grace... No!

P.S.: What an acting!.. Praise to you, Ms. Amybeth McNulty!..

Here is some Verses of my culture:

"Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? Therefor the orphan oppress not, Therefor the beggar drive not away, Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy proclaim."

The Gracious Koran, the Verses between 6th and 11th in the 93rd Chapter called "The Morning Hours."

Amen.

Oh hi Marx!
24 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Oh hi Marx! (7,7)

A human baby would copy one's mother and father. A school boy would want to grow as tall as a mountain. A teenager would spell out the words of the Old English to honor her ancestors.

We human beings are with one goal in life... to match one another. In this movie, we see a man who is as "bizarre" as the word itself. But is he really bizarre?.. He is anything that we are certainly not as the floating body of people all around the world, so that it doesn't matter if some of us dives while some leaps.

Tommy Wiseau is an original man, just like we all were when we were little. Oh, please! The little on the outside should not get hurt by my statement... I am talking about the one who wears a dress just because the most of people think it's cool to do so. Namely myself. But not Mr. Wiseau.

He thinks it's a must to reveal the lower part of the body to sell a movie. He believes he's being real when laughing at tragedies. He knows he should hide his true identity from prying eyes even if it's plain.

We do not believe some words he's saying. We do not defend his actions nor beliefs. At least not one hundred percent. But it is clear that we all have this kind of dreaming self inside us that we silence over time.

Yes, to be a rich, popular person is not a divine nor a humane purpose in life. In fact, he could build schools for the tight budgeted families, or pay for some of their expenses... If he's such a great person, he could even send money / help to those who cannot defend themselves against their oppressors... such as Palestinians.

Still, to follow one's dream with such a unique character in dreamy sequances is a success in this mechanized, unauthentic age.

He (Tommy Wiseau) simply lives without much to plan on nor be a professional of... This is what we lost during the last two centuries... For he improvises... he did nooooot. (O-okay, don't... don't stare at me too long... I apologize to you and Karl Marx also.)

This is why The Room became something of an equal to Pulp Fiction (or Kolpaçino, it's Turkish it you are interested) with respect to the eternalness.

If we are to criticize the casting, we say that James Franco was the perfect choice for the part. The man himself must be proud. The way he dedicated himself to being Tommy Wiseau is nearly A+!..

Dave Franco keeps our hopes up with his enthusiastic play!.. Wow! I love the acting, I love the overall directing, I love Tommy Wiseau!..

Here is a saying of my culture upon this: "Abdullah bin 'Umar (a Companion of the Prophet) said, 'Allah's Messenger, peace be upon Him, took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler.''

The sub-narrator added: Ibn 'Umar used to say: 'If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death.' "

Aishas never die... (8,1 points)
27 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
A girl is the most precious for a father. A girl commits adultery even though she is not an adult. A father's heart shatters. A family saddens. A father tries to kill his precious to gladden his small community. Allah is ever-sending signs to dehort a father from misdoings.

A father poisons a girl. A girl poisons herself. A father dies. Or his innocence...

Let's hold our horses for a clarification that'd help us understand this movie in a better way.

There's a process in the Turkish Cinema, of which most people are not aware; a process called Milli Sinema / National Religious Cinema (pronounciation: Melee Cinema) that unites the movie-makers, who hold Islamic ideals, in their diversity as the movement started during the mid-40s in Necip Fazil Kisakurek's writings, and later on developed in the 60s as Yucel Cakmakli wrote down articles until the moment he finally produced his first movie called Birlesen Yollar in 1970 which ignited the wick for the movement in its embodiment.

Through political hardships as well as psychosocial inhibitions this movement upskilled great names such as Mesut Ucakan, Metin Camurcu, Salih Diriklik, Mehmet Tanrisever, Nurettin Ozel, and last but not least; Ismail Gunes, and bore some fruits such as:

"Kurulus Osmancik, 1988, Yucel Cakmakli", "Yalniz Degilsiniz, 1990, Mesut Ucakan", "Minyeli Abdullah, 1990 Yucel Cakmakli", "Surgun, 1992, Mehmet Tanriverdi", "Besinci Boyut, 1993, Nurettin Ozel", "Danimarkali Gelin, 1993, Salih Diriklik", "Bize Nasil Kiydiniz, 1994, Metin Camurcu", and finally, "The Imam, 2005, Ismail Gunes."

The movement meant to reflect the customs, the way of life of- more importantly, the examples for the religious betterment of- the people of Turkey, despite the fact that these movies disprofit more often than not, and the kemalist mentality that had its ties in every official / non-official office would not let these people act freely.

As the AKP came to power, the movement started to decline as it should had flourished for the inner circle of the AKP is religious-thriving.

As the reason behind this fall would be the prosperity the religious people came to reach and their ever-expanding pleasure-seeking, or their lack of ideals, some names still continued to bear fruits that would not receive much attention nor praise due to the rise in their quality.

This is one of them. This is of the last links in the chain.

Let's examine it.

The long-take where Aisha was going from one room to another in the house at the beginning of the film is very promising. The timing of the actors is good. The overall acting too starts nicely.

The woodnote, the natural noises, and the rural way of living makes things brighter for the movie.

Then the movie starts to slip for some of the lines would not make sense or some scenes would end rather abruptly as it seems they're overcut.

As the story unfolds and the drama starts to kick in, the eyes water and the heart aches. But there is another problem. During some scenes, the actors are not believable as we cannot feel the heavy burden they are supposed to be carrying. And maybe the bad writing contributes to this problem.

E. g.: Near the end, when Aisha faints for the last time, Osman moves at a snail's pace. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is either bad writing or bad acting.

But there may be a reason for that. Ismail Gunes and the staff has no great amount of money. Truth be told, they perform miracles out of bad conditions. That's why we feel that some scenes could be better shot twice.

They story is good. The acting is good. The execution is good.

Ismail Gunes steps up to the plate for he could have made / could make money off of stupidity or nudity, and he chooses not to.

Which is why, this movie is as good as it can get.

Allah knows the best.

Here is a Verse of my culture:

"These are the ones who, when they commit any indecency and wrong against themselves, instantly remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - for who forgiveth sins save Allah only? - and who will not knowingly persist in the wrong they did."

The 135th Verse in the 3rd Chapter called 'The Family of Imran' in the Gracious Koran.

Amen.

Don't keep the mites, mate!...
29 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The theme and the execute of it during the episode is very good. Casting is eyeful alright.

The special effects work without any problem, too.

But there are some problems that cast a dark shadow on the grace of this monster-of-the-week episode.

First; Scully and Mulder are needed to argue over itsy bitsy things, and Mulder is not even himself.

Okay, he is somewhat "spooky" and framer of things as to his own; but he would never put lives in danger.

By the way; yes, they could drive the car in broad day light and bring an army back in the next hours with the spot lights on.

Or at least could they light a great fire to keep the mites away!

Wha...wait!.. Could the mite carry out its biological purpose in the light? The light of the car?.. Bu...but they didn't attack Humphreys in the dim light at the beginning!

Oh, the writers... the writers were asleep until the last minute. A cute baby finished the writing!

Or... The light of their faith is not that bright, it seems!..

The 5th Verse of the 10th Chapter in the Koran:

"He it is Who appointed the sun glow and the moon a light, and measured it by phases, that ye might know the number of the years, and the reckoning. In no way hath Allah created not (all) that save in truth. He detaileth the revelations for people who have knowledge."

Amen.

Little Green Dance!..
20 March 2018
This episode is a classic that represents the tone this series has. It has extraterrestrial elements, unexplained phenomenon, the distinct personalities of agents Mulder and Scully, as well as the way the secret government operates (as in the case of Deep Throat.)

One cannot keep away from the show after getting the strong taste out of this episode.

Okay, to the bottom of this:

We could say that for nearly half a century, the voices from the USA have been trying to raise awareness to the possibility of "trewe encounter with the extraterrestrial beings" that are later to be cleared away, or denied existence by the secret government of the USA.

Moreover, this claim or "idea" was adopted by the everyday folk and the outsiders in the community, as well as the artists that would produce books, movies and series.

To this point, everything seems normal. Yes.

But what if they are spreading the claims on purpose?.. "They" as in the secret people that hold the emperialistic ropes.

We are now used to the idea of "extraterrestrial beings on Earth." So, when the oil drains, the excuse to invade countries, or to practise the eugenics under the false pretence that the DNA is retrieved from the "little green men."

Am I too hysterical?.. Oh, maybe I, too, am in this...

Woe... I have just helped the cause.

P.S.: If my culture is concerned, Islam is not against the possibility of extraterrestrial life whatsoever.

It is even mentioned in the Gracious Koran that there are the Djin alongside the Human, the Animal, the Plant on this Earth. So, what is not mentioned or hinted at in Islam simply cannot "exist" not!..

For instance, it says there is no god other than Allah, it disavows any other god. (Relax, people! For the believer, this is!)

Furthermore, the Koran, on a number of Verses, warns the believer to draw lessons from the the sky, the Earth, and the existence in between.

Here:

"O company of jinn and humankind, in case you are able to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) all-binding sanction."

The 33rd Verse of the 55th Chapter (The Beneficent) in the Gracious Koran.

Amen.

Educated. Properly Satisfied. Stayed Good. Then Founded A Humane Family!
7 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
A modest, musical opening that prepares oneself for the long as well as tough journey.

Before understanding what the movie is about, one can easily perceive the solid acting of each and every one of the actors and the actresses.

A harsh reality in the realm of the movie would not welcome but beleaguer oneself. A daughter... first of all, a human being is to receive a severe beating, a rape, and finally a death of the hellish nature... And her mother, despite living as a divorcee with her teenage son, tries very hard to bring the person(s) to justice.

For this, she attracts the attention of the impuissant Ebbing Police Department, which could not find any clue as to who is the monster behind, by renting the three bilboards outside Ebbing Missouri.

An original heartache! (Sorry that the words of mine seem cold.)

The story takes turns for both better and worse. But how are the people related to that?..

Mr. Sam Rockwell is a good actor that assumes the role of a racist, high-handed police officer, Dixon that believes in good and evil, and tries to keep the balance in favor of the justice by acting unrighteously towards people. He is a nearly-lost person. And lost means "below his capacity for ever".

So, all the cursing, misbehaving, and narrowmindedness drag him at a crossroads that will give rise to a new perspective and change how he behaves faced with problems, by the barbarous act of Mildred, the character of Ms. Frances McDormand.

And, in my culture, this is called "Bin naseehatten bir museebet yeghdir." meaning: "A calamity is worth more than a thousand advices." So, Mr. Sam Rockwell rocked real well. (Sorry, I had to be that awful!)

Ms. Frances McDormand is a good actress, no doubt!.. Her character Mildred is about to depart from the straight and narrow, and turn all her suffering into an ironfist which would crush anyone and everyone that is between her and the attacker of her daughter. An obloquy, an arson, and possibly a murder!

Even tough she is a tender-hearted person that comes to the rescue of an insect on windowsill!..

Okay, most would say that it is her right to receive justice. Yes! And some would continue that she needs to trust the system for that. That, too!.. But if the system cannot function properly, what does she need do do?.. Sit empty-handed?..

No! If this earthly system of ours cannot find the perpetrator, she can, of course, force the pace but not however she can! Yes, we are but weak! But if we cannot trust the system by perfecting the system at every turn, the system becomes the very monster that eats our soul!

It nearly ate Mildred's soul...

Yes...

The cinematography is fashioned to be as neat as it can be! That is why we have strong acting all along the movie by nearly every actor!.. It feels, because of this, as if the movie is a chess game each piece of which plays an important part in harmony, that is the movie!..

So, save a plate for Mr. Woody Harrelson. For not he has worked pretty in this movie too, by the character of Willoughby whose only crime is to leave his family behind, but for he is a human. If not guilty, serve him food; would we?..

Here is the 29th Verse of the 4th Chapter called An-Nisa (The Women) in the Gracious Koran, that is of my culture:

"O ye who believe! Squander not your wealth among yourselves in vanity, except there be a trade by mutual consent, and kill not do not kill yourselves (or one another). Lo! Allah is onto you Ever-Merciful."

P.S.: Special thanks to the writers, the producers, the cast and the crew for pointing out the evil brilliantly. We hope no one is to hurt anywhere. Or else.

Bigfoot won't use pistols!
3 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
We're to see many "cops" or "agents" who feed the poor money in exchange for "info." But Mulder is different... You can see the genuine smile, happiness on his face when giving away money and bed to the homeless...

And to think about it, this is not even a surprising act of goodness and it feels like Mulder knows it too as he does not pique himself on.

Because, the society is a whole where the poor have rights over the rich.

So, a member of a society cannot have the death or the poverty of another member over their shoulders nor their conscience.

So, Mulder pays his debts. Good for Mulders.

Here is a Verse of my culture:

"O ye who believe! Render not vain your Sadaqah (almsgiving) by reproach and injury, like him who spendeth his wealth only to be seen of men and believeth not in Allah and the Last Day. His likeness is as the likeness of a rock whereon is dust of earth; a rainstorm smiteth it, leaving it smooth and bare. They have no control of aught of that which they have gained. Allah guideth not the disbelieving people."

The 264th Verse of the second Chapter called "The Cow" in the Gracious Koran.

Amen.

(P.S.: The monster-like villains are not to be made fun of. Okay, maybe the kid in the last scene...

But the way the director used the angle and light / shadows during the chase scenes is incredible!..

It does not reduce the quality... Especially in that period of time.)

(She yells in pain...) Rubyyyyyyy!..
25 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
To address the Gracious Koran, the Book of the Muslims all around the galaxy, without any form of condescending...

For this episode counts the Koran among the best of all the civilizations, which is to say, it is of Universal Values!..

Before the Gulf Wars, don't we mention the Invasion of Iraq, or before the Invasion of Afganistan, the hostility or rivalry between the believers of Abrahamic Religions was merely a matter of faith and confidence.

Such as the Muslims, the Christians and the Judaists in the time of Ottomans, or Seljukids. They were all adherent to their seperate systems of belief, not describing the others as "sore terrorists", or "threat to all humanity."

But then, something happened...

Some devil took residence in some brains and started to poison the heart nearly everywhere, so that people would label "the different one" as "an extrimist" whose existence needed to be destroyed, if not the ideas could be banned and blocked.

So, everywhere the modernised, westernised people live started to take the labels in and even applied them willfully in practice by imprisoning, hanging the religious people and banning the religious practices in public, if not possible to sweep away them entirely.

Now, some thinks religiousity is bad. Okay, thinking or believing cannot be under any ban. But enforcement?..

Is it not possible to pray in a chapel / a masjid in your school without anyone thinking: "Oh, he / she is narrow-minded." Or "This is how we spend our money?.. Building places of worship instead of laboratoris?.."

Why?.. Why is any belief better than the other in the eyes of people?.. Okay, because it is in their eyes! But can we not get along with what we all have in our minds and in our neighborhoods without hurting the other?..

Like in this episode which shows tacit acceptance by stating the Book of Islam called The Koran, and a Shakespearean sonnet in succession.

This is good. Or. This was good.

(P.S.: To defend the land means one thing; we would not give away what we have by force. So, it is the only understandable "use of severity".

Therefore, we should stand with whomever in need.

Like Syrians. Like Arakanids. Like Iraqis. Like Afghanistanis. Like East Turkestanis.

And like all the innocent around the globe who is to be hurt or killed...)

Before a tear or two...
23 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
  • Moonie! Scooty!

  • Whaaat!

Have you, of late, seen an opening this humane and warming, with the song "Celebration by Kool & The Gang in the background?..

It automatically reminds us of the Iranian movie called "Rang-e Khoda" ( The Color of Paradise). Wow!..

A childish frolic, a tattily close-up of a lone-parent family along with near-ascetic neighbors in a budget motel, flickering relationships between friends (namely, Halley - Ashley), new bonds that are being established between people in the area (namely, Halley - Grandma Stacy, Moonee, Scooty, Bobby, Halley - Jancey), faul language and gesture that are common even between friends / children, seemingly bad parenting (especially of Halley's), effort to make both ends meet until the end of the week (Halley's struggle), meanwhile no end to juvenility and prattle...

This is life.

Let's dare first evaluating the acting.

The chil actors, namely; Mademoiselle Brooklynn Prince, Mademoiselle Valeria Cotto, Jeune Christopher Rivera, Jeune Aiden Malik, were incredibly convincing. It is as if they were in a real life environment and we could somehow monitor their behavior without interfering. This is hard... this is art!

Ms. Bria Vinaite does what she is supposed to do. And she is successful in keeping us believe and be a part of that awful state of affairs which sucks all of her power and will to stand on top of the black look she's to be given probably on every single day of her life! That is why she convinces us that Halley barely holds it together and acts without computation. Without any complaisance or help!

Okay, she might have chosen to live far away from her parents out of the youthful temper, or she might have given her love to someone old through a bad romance, or she always has a week spot for mischief in society (smoking drugs etc.) or she might have been a victim of rape... You / we don't know any of these! We cannot know for sure!

But she keeps her dearly loved daughter Moonee as happy as she can... even by acting childishly, ever partying! But she is probably still a child!

Therefore; this movie, with the acting of Ms. Bria Vinaite, shows us how easy it is to judge and not show the ropes out of love for life and order!

Mr. Willem Dafoe, oh Mr. Willem Dafoe!.. He builds trust in us in his character with how he deals with problems and treats people, especially kids for they are fragile and somewhat vulnerable, that as if he's been doing the managerial task for all his life! He, for all we see, deserves an oscar.

As Ms. Mela Murder does not have an upholding role / character in this movie, his character seems to represent the people who would not look out for others if there is anything to their possible "downside and disadvantage" in times of caos and despair. Thence, we could all be an or act exactly like Ashley and push Halley's to their dramatic ends...

Arabian motel owners, hi to you!.. All about money, this world is! Yes!

As for the Case Workers... Have a little better than the mechanical humanity for a heart, please!.. No psycological, biological nor biographical history checked! But the obligation to take away a child; the family, the dream, the future remains!..

At this juncture, it needs to be said that in our neighborhood there are or could be people like Halley; and for we are responsible for one another, we need not touch down in our "ivory towers."

We.Need.to.Act.webdl!.. (Shame on me...)

Or we all fail a Halley or a Moonee... or both.

Here is some Verses from my culture:

"Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings; taking joy in the things which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good. They used to sleep but little of the night. And ere the dawning of each day they would seek forgiveness. And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share."

The Gracious Koran, The Verses from 15th to 19th in the Chapter of The Winnowing Winds. Amen.

(P.S.: Music is used properly throughout the movie.

Private, sexual scenes are blocked from the idle, childly eyes in a good manner.

The revealing dresses are now of the customs of the USA. So, that is a consistency.)

The X-Files: Squeeze (1993)

The Kurdish and the Files...
15 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Who would not want to live a thousand years!.. Oh, no one likes to forsee what one is presumed to like or hate anymore.

But who is not curious as to how any person wouldn't live for two centuries!

Well, the series utilizes the idea by drawing a possible scenario, similar only to the urban legends and horrific tales, of which there is the Frenkenstein, the Re-animator and many more... and even others, if we are to apply the idea of mutation, of which there is the creature-like, mutated people of the Time Machine by H. G. Wells that later screened.

However, what these screened tales fail to achieve is met here, in this episode.

The X Files is strong in setting the tone for mystery and horror (here). Okay, this gauche generation of the third millenium seems not to get scared of anything at all.

Then still, the episode, by means of strong usage of technology of the early nineties, is "out there" to capture the interest.

Most importantly, it hints at the Bosnian Genoside, involving the death of 312 thousands of people there, ushered by the UN forces leading the way for the Bosnian civillians to the "safe area" where the would meet their end...

Alija Izetbegovic would be proud to name you one of the few who remained not silent to this cruelty, Mr. Glen Morgan and Mr. James Wong!.. And you, Mr. Chris Carter!.. Thank you!

This is pure evil; and the show passed it into the history of USA. That is good.

And it also hints at the Kurdish families (there are also Arabs and Turks, too), killed by the joined forces of PKK and the emperialists in the southeastern region of Anatolia, and in the lands of Syria and Iraq.

This is also very good, even if it was in the form of a sentence uttered in less then a second and a news on paper, seamingly out of context.

Overall, this episode is very memorable by the acting of Mr. Doug Hutchison who plays the character of Eugene Victor Tooms. Such horror to eyes!..

Here is to live... live a life that will count in the world to come!

A saying from my culture in the book of Al-Bukhari:

"On the authority of Ibn 'Umar, sallallahu 'alaihi, who said: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, took me by the shoulder and said:

'Be in this world as though you were a stranger or a traveler/wayfarer.' Ibn 'Umar (Abdullah, Son of 'Umar) used to say:

'When evening comes, do not expect (to live till) morning, and when morning comes, do not expect (to live till) evening. Take from your health (a preparation) for your illness, and from your life for your death.' "

Vikings: Crossings (2017)
Season 4, Episode 16

How beautifully you eat fruits, O Ecbert!..
15 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Freedom is achieved in the minds, and is being achieved through reality. So, we won't pose in any fascistic manner.

Therefore, we would not begin to criticize how our values were dropped headlong, by stating Judith's romantic relationship with his father-in-law, that is King Ecbert, or the Lagertha's romantic relationship with a woman, that is Astrid.

Some would argue with a vengeance that no one could stand in front of sexual / romantic freedom, or all could. But that is not of our point of view.

We hold no such bars against any kind of "freedom."

Nevertheless, some would recognize this as a wave, just like that of nationalism which hit us rather powerfully, that will continue with its aftershocks, namely; encest...

Of course, it seems less than possible now. But via shows and series, people get infected by ideas. Or we could claim that if there is a wall, it should be climbed over. But who is to say this?.. or who is to not say this?..

Lagertha should invite anyone she wants to her bed, and then her son should invite that same person to his. Because they want, because they can, because no one can have the authority to say no to this, or yes, for that matter.

So, who is the authority again?.. Us, who cannot say no to anything anyone wants?.. or... maybe a turtle?

To me, it is Allah.

To you, whatever you say it is... (yourself, your nafs / id, your ideas, your idols, your traditions, your Gods.)

So, to me, in this episode is plain bohemian. And bohemian means you can do anything to fill the blanks in the episode without any trace of art. Because art is to be compelling and challenging.

Indeed, there is nothing artful about Bjorn setting eyes on Astrid and driving the latter to the bed. He does, because he can.

In. My. Opinion.

Here is a Verse, from my culture, involving this matter:

"Forbidden unto you are your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and your father's sisters, and your mother's sisters, and your brother's daughters and your sister's daughters, and your (milk) mothers who nursed you, and your sisters through nursing, and your mothers-in-law, and your step-daughters who are under your protection (born) of your wives unto whom ye have gone in - but if ye have not gone in unto them, then it is no sin for you (to marry their daughters) - and the wives of your sons who (spring) from your own loins. And (it is forbidden unto you) that ye should take (in marriage) two sisters together, except what hath already happened (of that nature) in the past. Lo! Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful."

The 23rd Verse of 4th Chapter called The Women, in the Gracious Koran.

(P.S.: The situation involving Bjorn and Astrid is of the 17th episode. It fits here.)

Cry me a river, O Athelstan!..
9 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
If one asks what the significance of this episode is, we can claim that there is not many but one.

Earl Lagertha kills Queen Asloug in cold blood, like the series tell us how a Viking should behave when it comes to being a leader. (There is a spoiler alert for LGBT community. Their much awaited viewership is now reached for the fact that there is the partner of a woman (Astrid) for Lagertha.)

The sons of Ragnar resembles him not only in the appearance, but in lust for power and women, too.

Aethelwulf, son of Ecbert is still acting on rush decisions, while Ecbert is living on his intelectual ideas in somewhat "cool" form of Christianity as the unifier King of Wessex and Mercia. (No praising here... To step forward / to do something unethically new is always cool in the eyes of humans.)

We are to leave Floki and Rollo to their journey to invade Al-andalus as they aren't to be seen in this episode. Someone's wife goes to her chamber in disappointment with her husband's betrayal of God. (Okay, to each their own belief. But if there is no solid authority, like the Book and the Tradition, one could easily jump off of a Ship of Faith to another in their selfish manners. Dear Rollo, pun intended...)

What makes this episode significant is the reunion of King Ecbert and King Ragnar. Why?.. For the last three episodes, we could easily believe that something is definitely wrong with Ragnar, his strength and his government.

Not necessarily for that he was beaten in France by his brother, or that he is now old; but because his ambitions were to fade away and, more importantly, his pursuit of the calm state he was living in, when both Athelstan and Ecbert in company.

So, Ragnar tried everything to get to England... and it would also serve as an attraction for a wave of attack by the Vikings to avenge him! Bravo!

(All the bloodshed is to cry for. But... ideas.)

Their talk on religions and Gods would not gleam as fresh arguments or philosophically challenging, as someone might claim that you believe what you deem to be right, and there is no unavoidable sameness in the cases of Earth and Heaven(s) for most religions, including Christianity. And even if there is, it would still be different than that of here.

Think about it; we cannot even judge / enjoy the same movie in the same way / degree ever.

That is why, the character of Athelstan is way genuine a believer, along with a number of others (both from Christians and Vikings); for he follows / they follow the logic not one hundred percent!.. Both heart and mind, he is / they are of. That is better in consistency. All of us know that the general superiority of mind over heart is something new...

So, how is it that, if given the information that Heaven is of the same essence as Earth, we would get the same joy and eventually get sick of it?.. Oh, man (and woman!); we are to dig for nothing, I fear.

All in all, their (Ragnar and Ecbert) hale-fellow-well-met relationship is gold... as it reminds us of our late-night, after-school, congregation-in-a-café, slumber-party talks with the circle of friends of different settings. And their shared affection for Athelstan. Hey, no one can understand why humans love or hate!.. And we see the illogical logic behind their love for him. Well played by the actors, (Mr. Linus Roache and, thankfully, Mr. Travis Fimmel) too.

Here is a saying of my culture: "Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder."

If only Ragnar would raise his soul... from dirt. Amen.

Black Mirror: Black Museum (2017)
Season 4, Episode 6
10/10
The soul becomes dyed with the color of our sins...
27 January 2018
It's normal to let go... of your own insecurities and dreams.

On a perfectly normal day, we would expect a sunny sky... maybe a drizzle for a couple of minutes. But is it fair to assume that it should or must happen?.. or to be absolutely sure that the causality principle would not stop showing?..

Well, this episode of Black Mirror really touches the sore spot in all, with respect to the technological devolution and to the humane ups and downs; especially taking into account the brilliant acting by Mr. Douglas Hodge as the fun loving, edgy and even crazy character of Rolo Haynes, and the use of editing both the scenes and the music into an integrated, easily watchable blend of stories, that is the best of this season.

The transfer of the mind and consciousness - which might be the substance called 'soul' by generations of people on Earth - to an inanimate objects as well as another body may seem radical or impossible to some.

But it certainly shows that we cannot escape our roots and archetypal pursuits... and the science cannot keep up with all as whatever cannot be falsified can be true.

So psychological, and so true.

Let us not forget about the lowest of the low in humans... We love and we kill almost simultaneously in our little minds.

(Okay, I did go too far. But this is needed for dramatic reasons in my review.)

Hence, we de-appraciate the dark sides of this episode. We need this kind of selfish, antisocial, wild and woolly way of life / technology not!.. Yes. Sadly.

Thank you, Mr. Penn Jillette.

"(He) Who hath created life and death that He may try you (as to) which of you is best in conduct; and He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving,"

The 2nd Verse of the 67th Chapter called 'The Sovereignty' in the Gracious Koran.
