I cried. In a comedy show. I never do that! During the final 5 episodes I kept crying all the time, because I realized this trip is becoming to an end. The finale was classy, intelligent and emotional. It had everything I wished it to have. I hoped so much for Michael Scott to return, and he did. He was an old man now. The fine hair always represented the charisma he always thrived for - and now he had grey hair. It's because he didn't care anymore. He got everything he ever wanted: he has kids now. He has wife.
Jim and Pam meant to be together. The writers just kept it up so well in the last season and created some missunderstandings between them in order to bring huge climax at the last 3 episodes - "love endures". The shoot where they reshowed their wedding was a stroke of genius. Michael was there. It was the "old good days". And it doesn't get any more emotional than that in TV-series.
Ryan and Kelly meant to be together in a satirist way too, and they got it. So did Dwight and Angelina. The writers did everything right, and the director got the emotions captured so well, so cleanly.
From all my heart, I cried, I laughed, I got sentimental and nostalgic. It's only after we're on the end of the road that we realize how much it meant to us. I will miss the office. I can't believe that writing. They got it all right. They did so good job. I will greatly miss The office - but never to forget it.
