Gregg Araki is set to direct Olivia Wilde in his next feature, Black Bear’s provocative thriller “I Want Your Sex.”
The film features an original script penned by Araki and Karley Sciortino which blithely explores desire, domination and fantasy.
When fresh-faced Elliot lands an exciting job for renowned artist, icon and provocateur Erika Tracy (Wilde), his fantasies come true as Erika taps him to become her sexual muse. But Elliot soon finds himself out of his depth as Erika takes him on a journey more profound than he ever could have imagined, into a world of sex, obsession, power, betrayal and murder.
Arlie Day (“To Leslie”) and Mike Page (“The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry”) are casting the picture. The film will be produced by Seth Caplan, a past winner of the John Cassavetes Award at the Film Independent Spirit Awards, alongside Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler.

We recently got word that a live-action movie based on Rob Liefeld's fantasy/horror comic series Avengelyne was in development, and we have some exciting updates courtesy of Deadline.
As previously reported, the project will be directed by Olivia Wilde (Don't Worry Darling), with LuckyChap, the company Margot Robbie runs with Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara, and Simon Kinberg, on board to produce. Now, we've learned that Warner Bros is negotiating to close a seven-figure film-rights deal for the movie, and Poor Things scribe Tony McNamara has signed on to pen the script.
The trade also confirmed that Robbie is interested in playing the title role, but it sounds like her decision will be script-dependent.
An earlier version of the movie was in the works back in 2013, with former The Mandalorian actress Gina Carano attached to star.

After Netflix’s recent success with the live-action One Piece adaptation, the company seems to have acknowledged the potential of anime. Several Netflix original series have been released in the past few years, and the latest addition is Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf.
This no-nonsense action-packed series is very obviously targeted at fans of Baki, Spriggan, Kengan Ashura, and other original Netflix action anime. No one can deny the cult following these action anime have, and the company did not waste any time catering another series to this growing audience.
Netflix Ona Garouden: Plot, Trailer, and Other Updates
Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf anime is inspired by a Japanese martial arts novel by Baku Yumemakura. The protagonist, Juzo is a skilled martial artist and practices Takemiya-ryu. He is on the run from a dark past and is being followed by a detective.

After taking on the plastic, fantastic world of Barbie Land, producer Margot Robbie is heading to the rich terrain of Monopoly.
Robbie’s company LuckyChap and her partners Tom Ackerley and Josie McNamara are producing a live-action feature film based on the ubiquitous real estate-inspired board game. Hasbro Entertainment, the backers of Monopoly, will also produce.
Lionsgate extended its development rights to the board game with its purchase of eOne, which was completed in December 2023. According to the studio, Monopoly is the world’s most popular board game brand, with 99% global awareness. It’s available in more than 100 countries across the globe, selling nearly half a billion copies going back to 1935.
It’s unclear how Robbie and company plan to spin a narrative story from the two-dimensional world of Monopoly. It’s no surprise, though, as to why Lionsgate thought of them to take on the challenge. LuckyChap recently produced a little blockbuster called “Barbie,...

Margot Robbie’s production company looks set to take on a film based on Avengelyne, a comic book character created by Deadpool’s Rob Liefeld.
If reports are accurate, Booksmart director Olivia Wilde is set to make Avengelyne, a take on the comic book character created by the mind behind Deadpool, Rob Liefeld. It’s the second project Wilde has lined up at Margot Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.

A high-powered package is coming together to adapt Avengelyne, the ’90s comic book character from Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld.
Olivia Wilde, who last helmed the thriller Don’t Worry Darling, is attached to direct what would be a feature adaptation. LuckyChap, the banner run by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josie McNamara and which shepherded last year’s biggest movie, Barbie, is producing. Simon Kinberg, who has written and produced several X-Men movies, will also produce. The package is being put together, with the hope that it will be ready to take to studios and streamers in the coming weeks.
Avengelyne debuted in 1995 and centered on a fallen angel cast to Earth. She is entrusted to find and protect The One, a person who is the key to protecting humanity from demons and other monsters.
Robbie, who is not attached to star in Avengelyne, is well-versed in comic having played Harley Quinn multiple DC films.

When pitching Warner Bros. and Mattel on their offbeat, feminist reimagining of “Barbie,” producer and star Margot Robbie and writer-director Greta Gerwig predicted that their film would make a billion dollars at the box office. They, of course, were right — and then some. But one thing about the movie’s improbable journey to cultural ubiquity and its $1.4 billion global haul has taken Robbie completely by surprise. “We didn’t say this is going to make it to the Oscars,” Robbie says, referring to the film’s awards season momentum.
Sitting on a sunny rooftop patio of her Los Angeles production company, LuckyChap, flanked by co-founders Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara, Robbie says, “When we finished the press tour, I was like, ‘I guess I’ll throw all the pink out of my wardrobe now.’” They all laugh. “But the fact that we’re going to the Golden Globes and all that stuff?...

Olivia Wilde is set to direct the film Naughty, which comes from the scribe behind this year’s Cocaine Bear.
Two films in, Olivia Wilde as a movie director has had to deal with a gigantic amount of issues that ordinarily might be expected to be spread over many more productions. The acclaimed Booksmart and the liked but less acclaimed Don’t Worry Darling are to her name as a director thus far. She’s now chosen the project that’s going to be number three on her list.
It’s a comedy by the name of Naughty, that has come from the pen of a man named Jimmy Warden. He was credited this year with the script for Cocaine Bear, and if he came up with the ambulance sequence, then I’m very happy to buy him a nice coffee.

Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara produce via their LuckyChap banner. A studio is not yet attached.
