Candice Carty-Williams’ 2019 novel Queenie was touted as the “Black Bridget Jones,” and the Hulu adaptation paid homage to that in its Friday debut, which saw the titular character grapple with a deeply personal issue while navigating life as normal. (All eight episodes are now streaming.)
Like Bridget Jones’ self-deprecating heroine, we were introduced to Queenie (played by Dionne Brown) via a frank voiceover narration that served as her inner monologue, sharing with viewers the thoughts she wouldn’t dare speak out loud. In this case, her regret at not getting waxed before an ultrasound.

Evil Season 4 Episode 3 is brimming with juicy details and reveals that really get the conversation going for the remainder of the season.
Sheryl's working from the inside to take down Leland? The Anti-Christ was born! David's first remote viewing mission is life or death for many.
Let's dig into Evil!
David's First Mission
David's remote viewing training was very short, and his first mission was literally life and death.
But David can be quite stubborn when he wants to be, so he barely gave viewing a shot when Father Dominic gave him the assignment. David feels used, and he doesn't like that one of only 250 priests in the US is now his handler.
If it's a conspiracy of some sort based on race, I'd be surprised. Father Dominic's Nigerian origins are the more likely explanation for his involvement.
Americans are skeptical of things like remote viewing, but when...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Evil Season 4 Episode 3 “How to Slaughter a Pig.”] Well, the Antichrist is here. And try as Kristen (Katja Herbers) might be to keep herself separate from all of that on Evil, she ends up right by the surrogate Leslie’s (Molly Brown) side for the actual birth. Leslie goes into labor while she and other women are gathered in Sheryl’s (Christine Lahti) office to discuss their terrible work conditions and the credit men take in the company. At the private facility, where Nurse Bloch (Tara Summers) works, Leslie begins getting freaked out—first by the movement she can see that far exceeds a normal baby pre-birth then by when she’s so certain she hears Leland (Michael Emerson) talking about killing her and feeding her body to the baby. He later claims to Leslie that he was talking about the biological mother (Kristen). Leslie then leaves the facility and calls Kristen,...

When we say that Netflix has something for everyone it is true for fans of all genres but especially true for the horror genre fans. With an incredible creator like Mike Flanagan who made brilliant horror shows and movies, Netflix has abundant peak horror content. So, today we thought of listing what we thought were the best horror shows on Netflix.
Midnight Mass
Midnight Mass is a gothic supernatural horror miniseries created by Mike Flanagan. The Netflix series is set in a small island town and it follows the story of a young returning to his hometown after spending four years in prison for a drunk-driving accident that killed someone. He arrives in the town at the same time as a mysterious priest who revives the faith of people in the town but what the town doesn’t know is that he is hiding something sinister. I watch a lot of horror films, but movies and television shows about possessions are what really scare and intrigue me. Evil, a series by Michelle and Robert King, not only discusses the topic of possessions, but also explores the matters of grief and corruption. After three successful seasons, the creators return with season 4, which is just as solid and absorbing as the chapters before. The new installment continues to explore the sins of humanity while giving the characters new paths to venture to.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Evil Season 4 Episode 2 “How to Train a Dog.”] Let’s just say that we have a feeling Sheryl (Christine Lahti) wants to take Leland (Michael Emerson) down even more than ever before after the latest Evil episode. Sheryl tries to gain some footing at work, but it’s run by a misogynistic board of men and demons, so that’s easier said than done. When she speaks up in a meeting, offering up her connection as Kristen’s (Katja Herbers) mother—the biological mother of the Antichrist— Leland shuts her down; the board doesn’t like hearing from women because they consider them to be weak. He suggests she prove herself by getting Greg Bruni (Danny Mastrogiorgio) in line, with the demon inside him starting to peep through. She does just that by cutting his finger off. She delivers it to the Manager, but even that’s not enough to get a promotion.

Much like “Hannibal,” it’s difficult to believe a show as spooky and complex as “Evil” ever aired on network television. But as the horror series about an unlikely trio investigating reports of demonic incidents for the Catholic Church debuts its entertaining final season on Paramount+, where the Robert and Michelle King-created series moved in Season 2, it’s also hard to believe the show exists anywhere, as it remains wholly unlike anything else on TV.
In Season 4, the first episode of which is now streaming, the series continues to balance its unique cases of the week with storylines involving overarching mythology, all while engaging with and exploring the personal beliefs and fears of Kristen (Katja Herbers), David (Mike Colter) and Ben (Aasif Mandvi). We’re going to need every minute of the next 13 weeks to prepare to say goodbye to Evil, the chilling psychological thriller that follows forensic psychologist Kristen (Katja Herbers), priest David (Mike Colter), and contractor/tech expert Ben (Aasif Mandvi) as they investigate unexplained cases for the Catholic church … and, this season, prepare for the birth of the antichrist. But sadly, it is the final season. The good news? They got four bonus episodes to wrap up the story, but how much will be resolved, and how much will be left open-ended? “Hopefully everything is going to be resolved, but sometimes resolution adds more questions,” co-creator Michelle King tells TV Insider. Adds co-creator Robert King, “The resolution can point forward. I don’t think anything will be tied up in the most perfect bow, but there will be a bow. It just might have a little bit of leaving something open to the audience imagination.

When satanic cults and demons get out of control, who you gonna call? Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi, of course! Evil Season 4 premieres on Paramount+ on Thursday, May 23, and it will be one hell of a finale for the supernatural procedural with outrageous self-aware humor, sinister villains running amok, and character chemistry that brings it all together.
We had the pleasure of discussing the fourth and final season of Evil with Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi, whose journey of uncovering the mysteries of insidious forces behind the veil of reality end with the conclusion of a 14-episode finale. While Evil Season 4 is the show’s last hoorah on Paramount+, Evil could get picked up by another streamer, as several of the show’s stars are game to continue the story. I hope that’s the case after binging four seasons to prepare for this interview.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Evil Season 4 premiere “How to Split an Atom.”] Kristen (Katja Herbers) may get to laugh in Leland’s (Michael Emerson) face when it comes to having to raise the Antichrist (he’s still a baby) but he might get the last laugh after the wheels he sets in motion in the Evil Season 4 premiere. The so deliciously chilling Paramount+ drama picks up right where it left off, with Kristen finding out that Leland used her egg with a surrogate, and now the Antichrist will be born in 38 days. “I can’t think of any greater torture I could devise for you than to give you a baby: a crying, s**tting baby. I giggle at the thought of you waking up a 3am because the Antichrist needs changing or dealing with diaper genies and bottles at 4am. And that’s just the beginning. I mean, have you thought about the terrible twos,...

TV Fanatic chatted with Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi about the upcoming season, which premieres on Thursday, May 23. We are all hoping for a Hail Mary pass that will save the genre-defying show.
It’s easy to joke that Evil should be around as long as evil exists in the world, but the truth is that creators Robert and Michelle King have managed to say something important about the subject for three seasons, and that doesn’t stop during Season 4.
We always wonder what we can do to score that oft-sought last-minute save of a beloved series, and the answer is to watch it.

You’ll scream till you laugh. Or is that laugh till you scream? Works either way for Evil, my favorite supernatural thriller since the glory days of The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with an even higher amusement threshold. But here’s the scariest part: It’s ending after just four seasons (the first season aired on CBS). The good news: With its delectable mix of humor and terror, Evil isn’t going out quietly. “Are we really on that level of crazy?” wonders Kristen (saucy Katja Herbers), the forensic psychologist and skeptic, during an upcoming case about possibly possessed pigs. Yes, we really are. Her team, including hunky priest David (Mike Colter) and wry tech expert Ben (Aasif Mandvi), are feeling it too. “Doesn’t it seem like these assignments are getting weirder?” Ben wonders. If they are, which is arguable, that’s how we and the show’s brilliant creators,...

Paramount+’s philosophical horror drama begins its fourth and final season—ending far too soon for its many fans. What can we expect? To start, the psychopathic devil-worshiping Leland (Michael Emerson) is not enjoying raising Timothy, the puking, pooping infant, born via surrogate from a purloined egg from Kristen (Katja Herbers) that he self-fertilized and whom he believes to be the Antichrist. He’s not the only one with issues, however. All three of the Catholic Church’s exorcist assessors are going through a lot. Confirmed atheist Ben (Aasif Mandvi) “has a real crisis of faith—in science and medicine, after suffering from migraines and visions,” says Evil executive producer Robert King. “His arc is moving from a true belief in science and medicine to how much of life is a mystery beyond that.” “David [Mike Colter] is clearly struggling with his attraction to Kristen,” King continues. “But even more...

One of the best, and rarest, feelings one can experience as a TV viewer is to watch a show and get the distinct feeling that its creators are getting away with something. That they're pushing buttons that someone asked them to avoid. That they're crafting imagery that's going to haunt and unsettle. That they're using a medium commonly associated with comfort and passivity to infuriate, baffle, and intrigue.
And across its four seasons, "Evil" has always felt just like that. Its first season, which aired on CBS, was a "Hannibal"-sized middle finger to decency and typical television sensibilities (that should be read as high praise). Later seasons moved to Paramount+, where the streaming wild west allowed showrunners Robert and Michelle King to really let their freak flag fly. Writing duo Michelle and Robert King have had a long winning streak. Back in 2009, the married couple debuted their first show together, the CBS legal drama The Good Wife. Over the course of its consistently excellent 7 seasons, the show was nominated for 43 Emmy Awards and 14 Golden Globes. Rolling Stone called it 'Network TV's Last Great Drama'.
The Good Wife went on to spawn The Good Fight and Elspeth, two spin-offs also written and created by Michelle and Robert King.
But the duo wanted to stretch out beyond the confines of the courtroom, so in 2019 they hit the airwaves with something totally different: a psychological mystery series about Catholicism, faith, the supernatural, and evil.

Evil and its central trio—Kristen (Katja Herbers), David (Mike Colter), and Ben (Aasif Mandvi)—has both delighted and terrified us for three seasons thus far. The psychological mystery from the brilliant minds of Robert and Michelle King premiered on CBS in 2019, and after one season, it moved to Paramount+. The series, while examining the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion, focuses on a skeptical female psychologist (Kristen) who joins a priest-in-training and a contractor (Ben) as they investigate the church’s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there is a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work. But what does the future hold for Evil? The good news is you don’t need a prophet to find out. Read on for everything we know, and keep checking back for updates.

Every once in a while, a TV news announcement strikes right at your heart.
This one is enough to make you giddy with delight, which is odd, given the satanic overtones. But, here we are.
Paramount+ today announced that the final season of fan-favorite and critically acclaimed original series Evil will premiere this May.

Four bonus episodes have been added to Evil Season 4 by the streaming service and are set to begin production soon in New York City for a thrilling series finale.

The show you probably don’t want to watch late at night—when it drops on Paramount+—is back soon, but there’s a twist. The streaming service has announced that Evil‘s fourth season will be premiering in May. However, it will now be its last. The good news: Four bonus episodes have been ordered, and production on them will begin soon in New York City for what the streamer is calling “a thrilling series finale.” We also (finally) have a teaser (which you can watch above), and let’s just say that we have so many questions about what’s featured, from talk of visions of hell and the world ending to what has Ben (Aasif Mandvi) remarking to Kristen (Katja Herbers) and David (Mike Colter) about their assignments getting weirder. But what we want answers about the most? What’s going on in the two screenshots below.
