Doshinamnyeoui Sarangbeob (2020)
GoT level disappointing finish after an intriguing start
They started out with such fresh, novel storylines that could've been taken towards deep, insightful storytelling. I was hooked by the leads' chemistry and the breathtaking views too.
Oh but the ending ! I'm sure they got confused as to how they should end and put a haphazard episode 16 and 17 together that picked up all the initial excitement, chemistry etc and threw it out the window. Very frustrating.
The script for epi 17 seems to be so full of blanks, they introduced a new nowhere story leading nowhere in it, and finished a seemingly healthy existing one without proper rationale.
Such a waste man.
Reminds you of GoT.

I will try my best go make you go watch this movie. Just read these 4 lines.
It's a movie full of crime but it's such a breezy breezy watch.
It shows humanity, humor and all kinds of love happening for "good" and "bad" guys.
"Could have had a depressing ending but ends as beautifully as 4 fairy tales put together."
You can take the "hero's" side or "the villian's", eventually they are all winners !

Kkotboda namja (2009)
Super stretched, super annoying, super set of all Korean stereotypes
Found it soo damn illogical and all over the place, in terms of story and resemblance to real world.
It's a stereotypical rich guy - poor girl drama, based in a school for elite, where the depicted level of bullying and cruelty is equivalent to a high security prison, devoid of teachers or other staff.
The second lead syndrome flickers between weak and strong.
It could have ended in 8-9 episode but goes on till 25 episode to include other stereotypes such as the guy's unaccepting mother, childhood trauma, amnesia, more accidents, etc
I tried to mentally adjust with the level of absurd in the beginning, but by episode 5 or 6, my mind was exhausted from doing that.
The best things that I liked were the good looking guys and their chemistry (their hairstyles open for debate) and the brave female character depicted in the first few episode which gets diluted later.
A good analogy for Indians is "Student of the year," a below average Indian movie stretched for 25 hours.

This one makes you laugh, cry and think ! Till you understand yourself and your parents better.
I have never come across a drama that explores people's emotions in such depth, in all stages of their lives.
It explores youth very very beautifully. All the struggle, confusion and longing which naturally comes from lack of experience.
But it also explores the middle age. Maybe it's not fun to watch for most of us, that's why we dont get many shows around it. But the way this series depicts it, you will cry and laugh and think till you finally understand yourself and your parents better :)
The main love story has a plot that is not tragic but still won't let go of you. It sometimes makes me bitter and makes complete sense at others. Still cant get over it.
Thanks for reading this. Please please watch this one. All of us need this.

Have so much FUN watching this, again and again. It makes me happy
I have watched a lot of recent K dramas but I am glad I somehow stumbled onto this one from 2007.
It's my goto TV series when I want to feel happy!
At this time, Korean serials were more forward, had more smexy and intimate scenes.
Though the plot is simple, the script is beautiful and the performances are unbelievable.
Eun Hyun Hye hasn't bothered about her looks and plays the cutest tomboy ever.
As for Gong Hyu, it's his best work ! The guy is soo natural and has such a range of expressions... I tried hard putting them on in the mirror but I just dont seem to have them :)
Together their friendship, fun and fights and intimate scenes create magic on screen.
Strongly strongly recommend !

Don't even expect the usual Rajshri family sanskar overdose
PRDP doesn't make you laugh, cry, think ... it will just make you wait for the remaining time to get over, esp the second half.
The movie starts with the usual Rajshri way of making a song and dance about a noble person, Salman-1 (Prem Dilwale, what a name!), who is the owner of a drama company in Ayodhya. He admires Sonam Kapoor (Rajkumari Maithili) who travels in a chopper to do charity for flood affected areas. He goes to meet her in a fabled place, Pritampura, only to find that the person she is about to get engaged to, soon to be coroneted Rajkumar Ajay(Salmon-2), has gone though a regicide attempt and has been saved by some of the loyal supporters of the late king. these supporters want him to play king for sometime to fool the people, the rajkumar's enemy and "maitili's" family. There starts Salman's attempt to voo the entire kingdom, starting with the bethroted princess to the king's sibling's to the people.
Meanwhile the actually king recovers and is then kidnapped by the enemy. Finally family peace regains and the princess chooses her husband.
The movie boasts of illogical sibling relationships, extremely clichéd and unintelligent conversation , bad visuals used to create places like a crystal palace which floats besides a huge waterfall and has mirror mazes and all, surreal places like a garden where flowers continuously keep falling, unmemorable and non-catchy music and a very irritating and amateurish performance by Sonam kapoor (what else could we have expected.) Salman Khan although irritating and illogical at some place is at least pleasant to look at.
The movie is so predictable that in some of the early scenes you'd guess what the fight sequence would be in the end.
I might not have related to all Rajshri fairy tale family dramas, but have at least been absorbed while watching them. This one is an exception through and through.
