The Santa Clauses (2022)
Great series for a family
We're a family of five, ages ranging from 7-40 and we all love to watch this together. It's a great family friendly Christmas series.
We've all watched the movies multiple times and this is a wonderful addition for us to watch at Christmas. There's something for everyone here and we all looked forward to watching an episode before bed.
Tim Allen is obviously great. The actors who play his kids are wonderful and Mrs Claus is okay.
I hope they'll make at the very least, a third season but would love to see more. Just sit back and take it for what it is; a fun, silly TV show for kids and adults alike.
Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)
Felt...rushed?
It's hard not to compare it to the original and as a stand alone movie, it's pretty good. As a sequel, it's just okay.
Our two daughters loved it and both are familiar with the first Hocus Pocus. But for my husband and I who grew up with the original, we just felt that the whole thing seemed rushed. I don't even know if that's the right word but something was just missing from it.
Casting was great overall. Though as others have stated, it really would have been awesome to see some of the originals back (besides the Sanderson sisters).
It's for sure worth a watch, especially if you already have Disney+.
Bel-Air (2022)
Interesting spin on an old fav
Don't go in watching this, expecting it to be a sitcom and you won't be disappointed. You can tell from the previews that it's meant to be a drama and it stands apart from the original that way.
I've watched the first episode so far and really enjoy it. I found it to be a very interesting concept and a really neat spin on an old favourite.
Take This Waltz (2011)
Happened to be on TV, so.....
Flipping the guide one night and this movie was on, I'd never heard of it but I enjoy the cast, so thought I'd give it a shot.
Some times, this is life. It was so honest and real. The end was heartbreaking because I know one person in particular who was in a very similar situation, where they thought the grass was greener on the other side. She has forever regretted making that decision and has told me countless times, 'if I knew then, what I know now....'.
Home Economics (2021)
Why so negative?!
I'm through the pilot and part of episode two, I thought it was pretty great so far. Some points where I laughed out loud, some times where I just giggled. I wish people could just watch a show for what it is and not read in to things so far. I have a surprise for you guys, not everything is a conspiracy, not everyone has an agenda. Sometimes a TV show is just a TV show, that is in line with the dynamics of families this day and age. Shocking, I know.
I can totally relate some of these situations and jokes to my family life. It's great to be able to sit and laugh about it.
I think the cast is great, the writing is great etc. I'm excited for another sitcom to add to watch!
