Mitsuo Iwata: I'd never worked with prescoring before at all, I'd heard that animation places in America like Disney use prescoring, but this was the first time I'd ever done it myself. It's a lot like doing a radio drama. You can put a lot of emotion, I was able to put a lot of emotion into it, I think. There was one thing that really impressed me. When I did my first take in the prescore session, the mouth movements perfectly matched what I was saying, right down to the little details. With animation, the way it's usually recorded, there are lots of parts where you can't get a feel for it at all. You can do laughs like "Ha ha ha ha ha ha" or whatever and it'll express everything, even the little nuances. I thought, "Wow, this is amazing." That's one thing that's really great.
