When Edith writes her signature for Gladys Moss, there are two closeups: one as she writes it and then again as Gladys looks down to observe the handwriting. Between those two shots, the actual signature is noticeably very different in appearance.
The sound of the judge banging a gavel is heard several times in the courtroom scenes. In England only auctioneers use gavels; judges have never done so.
Edith buys an orange 2d stamp which she attaches to a letter she then posts. Earlier in the film there are close-up shots of letters with single 1d red stamps attached. The one-penny rate for letters ended in 1918.
The Constable Sergeant states that Rose can be charged with libel for the letters. This is flatly wrong - the letters are sent to Edith herself, not to any third party or the public at large, so the core element of a libel charge (publication of the allegedly false comments) and as such the Crown wouldn't even be able to establish a sufficient basis to charge a crime.

Rose and Nancy buy an ice cream on the beach and the ice cream seller says 'Enjoy'. Using enjoy as an imperative only started in the 1980s or 1990s. In 1920 they'd have said (correctly) 'Enjoy your ice cream'.
During the trial, Edith claims that it was her father who taught her to write the letter 'G' in the distinctive manner shown in the film. Given that her father will have read all of the many letters sent to Edith, it seems strange that he would not have noticed this much earlier on and have realised that it was Edith sending the letters. .
The Judge presiding over the case is black. The first black Judge in England and Wales was not appointed until 2004.
