I loved Good Egg! I laughed out loud and at the same time felt connected to the fertility struggle of the main characters. What a great film that brought the marriage aspect of IVF to light, and added just the right amount of humor to the situation! Bravo!
Anybody that loves comedy with depth will love this film. I loved the egg donor character and how the main character gets unexpectedly looped into crazy situation. In that way it reminded me of Date Night with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey. Super funny with twists and turns, capped off with a (mostly) all's well that ends well wrap up-which is the kind of ending that I prefer. I highly recommend it whether you have gone through IVF or not!

Let me start by admitting that I don't have a uterus, so anything I know about IVF is through shared experiences from those who've had to endure the process and from what I can tell, there's little to laugh about. But Good Egg finds the funny, quirky, adventure story in the IVF process. You'll laugh, you'll relate to the characters and laugh a little more. In the age of cookie-cutter films, this one stands out as an ambitious look into finding the funny in IVF and relationships. Watch it on a Sunday afternoon and indulge yourself into a world you might not experience. Laugh at silly moments that you may not laugh at if you were experiencing them in real life. That's what cinema should be. Good Egg?... Good Film!

GOOD EGG has the wonderful, gentle, character-driven yet zany vibe of Ron Howard's NIGHTSHIFT. It echoes the gentler but still funny vibe of late 70s/early 80s comedies like SILVER STREAK or NIGHT SHIFT or even TRADING PLACES. It's a comedy nonCoastal Elitists will really find funny and it will make Gen Xers like me nostalgic for the comedies and humor we grew up on. It's such an enjoyable ride (and I loved the Pedro Almodovar-esque production design). The cast is great, the movie really moves along and it's a wonderful indie gem I hope people discover on streaming. Eight out of 10 stars! Enjoy!
