The band "Dad or Alive" is made up of Ed Helms and the members of the band Weezer.
Jennifer Garner's character Jess states, "This is a unique and original situation that has never happened before" when the family first swapped bodies. The family members then proceed to name the titles of other body swap movies in their responses: Ed Helms (Bill) says, "Right?! No kid has ever just woken up big!" referring to 'Big' (1988). Brady Noon (Wyatt) says, "Yeah, it's so freaky!" referring to 'Freaky Friday' (1976 and 2003) and 'Freaky' (2020). Emma Myers (CC) then says, "You're telling me. I'm 17 again!" referring to '17 Again' (2009). Ed Helms responds with "I'm 13 going on 30!" referring to '13 Going on 30' (or Suddenly 30) from 2004, also starring Jennifer Garner.
When the Walker "children" are at the party. CC begins dancing to a song outside of their usual time genre. Everyone joins in, knowing the choreography and dances with her. This is the same as the Thriller scene in 13 going on 30, where Jennifer Garner plays Jenna.
When CC and Wyatt (actually Jess and Bill) are at the high school party, CC dances by herself on the dance floor. One of her moves is the same as one Wednesday Addams popularised on the TV show 'Wednesday' (2022) when she danced to Goo Goo Muck at the school dance (S01Ep04). Emma Myers, who plays CC, also stars in 'Wednesday' as Enid Sinclair, Wednesday's best friend. Additionally, CC also does moves from the Thriller dance, in which Jennifer Garner performed in 13 Going On 30, also referenced in this.
