S.W.A.T. is not ending after all. Beating the odds a second time, the action drama has been renewed for the 2024-25 season, with Shemar Moore set to continue as star and executive producer. I hear Season 8 will consist of 22 episodes.
The news comes a year after S.W.A.T. was canceled before the decision was dramatically reversed a couple of days later with a renewal for a seventh and final season. This time, the network is not boxing itself in and is leaving the door open to more by not branding 8 as the series’ final season.
The surprise renewal, which sources said came down pretty quickly over the last couple of days, also comes as S.W.A.T is wrapping production on its seventh season. Moore hinted at the drama not necessarily ending by posting set photos on his Ig story yesterday with the caption “Season 7 finale will be [fire emoji],” not referring to the episode as series finale.

It was only a matter of time before these words ended up in a sentence together: Kim Kardashian will be joining the 12th season of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's long-running anthology, "American Horror Story." A collaboration between the man who explores fame, camp, luxury, and what captures America's attention, and the woman who has captured America's attention better than anyone else feels so natural, that it's surprising it hasn't happened sooner.
Kardashian posted a teaser promo to her Instagram account today announcing the collaboration. In the promo, you can hear the sound of children playing along with a slow, eerie rendition of "Rock-a-bye Baby." An enigmatic, slowly revealed tagline reads: "Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian are delicate." Roberts is an "American Horror Story" veteran who played the witch Madison Montgomery in the seasons titled "Coven" and "Apocalypse," and appeared as other characters in the anthology along the way.

Not everyone goes by their given name. As it turns out, one of our favorite soap opera stars isn’t exactly who fans may have thought. Here is why The Bold and the Beautiful actor Matthew Atkinson doesn’t use his real first name.
Matthew Atkinson of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ has gone by a different name since he was a kid
Most people have definitely thought of what they would change their name to if given the chance. Atkinson, who portrays Thomas Forrester on the soap opera, is no exception. Like his character on The Bold and the Beautiful, the actor wouldn’t be opposed to the name Thomas, which he describes as a “great name.”
However, this won’t likely happen anytime soon since the handsome actor has actually been called Matthew since he was a kid.
Why Atkinson doesn’t use his real first name

Exclusive: Lifetime has given a green light to How To Murder Your Husband, one of the network’s new Ripped from the Headlines movies announced today, starring Cybill Shepherd (The Client List) and Steve Guttenberg. It’s slated for premiere on Saturday, January 14 at 8 pm/7c.
The project marks Shepherd’s return to Lifetime following her previous starring role in The Client List and a guest-starring role on Drop Dead Diva.

We are fast approaching the premiere of CSI: Vegas Season 2, and we're getting more clarity on who's in and who's out.
According to Deadline, Sara Amini has been tapped to succeed Mel Rodriguez's Chief Medical Examiner Hugo Ramirez.
Sarah Amini (Future Man) will play Sonya, while Joel Johnstone (Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) is set to play Jack, the assistant medical examiner.
We will also see family dynamics at play because these two new characters are siblings.
They join fellow new additions Led Medlin (Drop Dead Diva) and Ariana Guerra (Promised Land).
Medlin is set to play Beau, "who spent the last two decades as one of Dow Chemical’s top research scientists," according to Deadline.
Beau decided it was time to do more meaningful work and took a massive pay cut by following his heart.
He is the most overqualified CSI Level 1 of all time, which should make for some fun TV.

Brooke Elliott has been a fan favorite since she led Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva as Jane Bingum.
Brooke now portrays Dana Sue Sullivan, a restaurant owner and single mom to a teenage daughter in Netflix's Sweet Magnolias. The series is based on Sherryl Woods' best-selling book series Sweet Magnolias.
It follows best friends Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue as they balance careers, family, and relationships in the Southern town of Serenity.
TV Fanatic chatted with Brooke about working with two handsome men in her love triangle, who she would choose, and having Cal as a silent partner.

That's a hard one to answer since she has such a great arc in Season 1, and she has such a great arc in Season 2. I'll say Season 2 as she deals with...

The Flight Attendant has welcomed aboard Sharon Stone for Season 2, to play one mother of a role.
As first reported by our sister site Deadline, Stone is set to recur on the HBO Max dramedy as Lisa Bowden, the estranged mother of Kaley Cuoco’s titular Cassie. After a lifetime of dealing with Cassie’s alcoholism (and seeing their mother/daughter relationship damaged by it), “Lisa no longer has any patience or goodwill to spare,” the character breakdown tells us.
