Government Attorney Daniella Hernandez quits to represent high profile trash clients like hip hop stars and drug dealers. Hip hop star Isis gets beat up by her boyfriend so Daniella goes on a crusade to get justice. The plot isn't bad keeps you guessing to find out who's behind all the shenanigans.
76 minutes is about right for this TV Movie watching Daniella trying to work out who's playing her. I've seen a lot worse than this, better than average TV Movie. Expect to see it on Channel 5 soon.

Not much to say but that it was an average made for TV drama/thriller. And it is patently obvious that it was made as a pilot for a series. The way it ended, made me more certain of that.

With the lack of ending for this movie; it clearly should've have been made into a series. The movie just stops and leaves the viewer confused and feeling that the movie was unfinished and incomplete!

One thing that Paula Patton's character says to a a sorority sister towards the end of the movie stands out
"Listen, I love my job and I am good at it. You love your job and you're a bully at it.I think it's best to we stay out of each others way"
Which is weird considering that she's the bully the whole movie. She bullies cop and protects criminals. She gives people 30 second summary about their life history like she's a wikipedia page, She blackmails "Some One" into working for her. This is a gratuitous ego-feeding pointless movie that does not answer any question or fill any of the plotholes which are basically potholes in the storyline of this movie. I watched the whole thing just thinking who the hell wrote this stuff and why is this movie even getting any financing? Why did Paula have three sex scenes in a movie that lasted 76 minutes?
This movie was written by an alien,

I'm so confused. There is no real story line here and it leaves you with more questions than answers.

Honestly don't understand why this movie has such a bad rating and reviews?
I always look at reviews first before watching a movie, but I don't let it stop me from watching it.
After watching it, I feel like you can compare this movie as an origin story or an intro of what is yet to come. It's like episode 1 of a mini series.
It's actually very intriguing because you really wan't to know what's going to happen next. The acting is not bad at all and some of the characters are actually quite strong in their role.
I'm happy that it's going to be continued as a series.

I've rated movies on imdb.com for a long-time, but never reviewed a film.
Sacrifice is one of the worst movies I have ever seen and I've seen a lot. The film is a mess from start to finish and has very few redeeming features.
The plot is incoherent and you could drive a bus through some of the plot holes. They set up several strands that were semi-interesting, but the film ends without resolving any of these, and I mean any of these. I had to check whether this was a TV show and what I had seen was the pilot, but no this was a self-contained film. Some of the motivations of the characters make no sense, and there is a big reveal towards the end, but even this is so badly mishandled and there is no conclusion to this.
I would strongly recommend you avoid and don't watch this.

If you appreciate strong-willed women then this movie is for You!
Paula Patton does shine throughout, and both her professional side and romantic side surface as the story unveils. All that glitters is not gold, and the entertainment industry has its dark side, too.
The movie flow is rapid enough to keep your interest up, with some slower scenes that enable you to catch your breath, too. Speaking for myself, I found the film absorbing and with hardly a dull moment, from start to finish. And though I never heard of Paula Patton before, she earned my esteem for her stylish performance in this movie.

The acting is either bad or mildly decent. Plot holes through out the movie. Bad pacing. Doesn't take a detective to figure out who the villain is. Found myself disgusted by the protagonist many times. Terrible cliffhanger ending leaving little to the imagination. Just leaves you wondering why they didn't finish the film knowing well it would've just taken 10 more minutes to wrap it up. You know what they we're going for, but they miss it by a mile. Made an imdb account just to review this mess.

Acting from Paula was horrible to be playing a woman who should be taking seriously. First off she smile too much, second she needs more practice with confidence to walk in high heels (it looked like a struggle of baby steps), and she need more anger. Jordan needs a little more work but I see the potential of being great. Paula this is not your AMO. I can see Lisa Raye pulling this off GREAT!

Government Attorney quits low-paying job so she can suck up to the rich and famous and multiply her income. Thanks to the money her clients pay her, now she thinks they are all saints from Heaven, and everyone else must be guilty.
Really standard and boring movie, with nothing interesting or new. Just another pretty attorney with an attitude, and she is going to bend the law to enrich her purse.

It's kinda like total mess for a movie with no storyline leaving viewers more confused and in suspense. Could be great for a series pilot though.

There's no conclusion to many of the plot lines. The actors are fine, but the directing is bad.
I would give 0 stars if I could.
I would give 0 stars if I could.
The two leading ladies truly stand out from the male stars.
One is a high-class lawyer. One is a District Attorney.
Paula Patton as the classy lawyer projects a very strong-willed persona who tends to dominate others in the same room with her. And the D.A. is a worthy antagonist!
Except for Al Sapienza, all other actors were unknown to me initially. However, Paula Patton quickly gained my respect and esteem as the story unfolded. She is ambitious, honest and strong-willed and dedicated to her clients, but she has vulnerabilities, too. Yet her femininity is evident in every stylish dress she wears!
The duration of the film limited the amount of details available, leaving some empty gaps in the story-line, alas. However, I don't regret the time invested in "Sacrifice". And don't take my word for it..... Paula Patton is a striking lady who glows in every scene she appears in. Why not check her out yourself?

I rated this movie a 9 for two reasons.
1. Paula is stunning but putting her in all of those unattractive hairstyles wasn't right. BET could have and should have done better.
2. Will there be a Part two? We were left hanging in the wind. Will we find out who father was and why her and her mother was targeted? Will we find out it was her current boss who ordered the hit on her parents that's why he took her under his wing?
Aside from my personal issues with Sacrifice, I believe it was put together very nicely. The storyline, the cast, the style (aside from Paula's hair)...it was very entertaining.

This movie is horrible I believe it probably could have been a good move but the pacing was horrible and the way they told the stories and the gawd awful flashbacks and self reflection was a joke.
I'm sad to see the last review that says it doesn't have a conclusion, it actually does. Not trying to spoil the ending but it's really good. I think Chris Stokes did an excellent job on mixing in all the elements of a great black television show that we all love. Its so refreshing to see Paula Patton back on the screen as well as all the other greats! I enjoyed the variety of characters. My favorite was Somwon! BET struck gold here and I really hope they bring a season 2. I didn't know what to expect but they actually impressed me. The story does go somewhere and the is a bit of conclusion to the overall story. I love that they didn't really leave it on too much of a cliff. They actually satisfied my appetite of what I needed to finish the first season. Paula Patton doesn't come out for any old thing and I think she made an excellent choice with leading this show. Yea it's not perfect but I think they went above an beyond to make it as perfect as they could. All the characters grow on you and develop over time. I love that they gave us 11 episodes and not some BS 6 or 8 episodes. They didn't cheat the audience one bit. Even some really good twists in there that will keep you interested in thorough out the season. I love that it's got mystery, action, and music like Empire lol. It's badass and slick! Everyone does their thing in this. Trust me and give it a watch!
I have read a lot of hate for the movie Sacrifice. I would like to make a simple point as I am no expert on writing movie reviews but I watch a lot of movies to know the difference between the bad and good ones.
Sacrifice is a good beginning with the potential of becoming a great series. Sacrifice was made into a movie with hopes that it garners enough interest to be brought back for a series. This is the reason why the plot is non-existent and presents several characters as well as events with no resolution.
Now what should have been done was to just make this a series right out of the gate. My assumption here is that that powers that be were either afraid to do so or had not made the decision of whether the series idea should be developed further.
With so many drama based series that are about to do about nothing. You have a high profile entertainment lawyer that by any means defends her clients by virtually toeing the line of the law and ethics. Paula Patton plays this role to a tee.
I understand as a movie fan you want a plot and by the end a resolution but Sacrifice is a just a taste of its real potential. So this is my plea to the powers that be please makes this a series or you will continue to have haters regarding this movie but I truly get what you were trying to do here, so just finish it!

This movie was pretty good but I didn't like the ending.
Is there going to be a sequal??? Did I miss something? Why did he have her Parents killed? What did they now do that he wanted him/them to do? What type of revenge does she get???

This is a good show. It's hard to figure out the plat which makes it a very suspenseful and Intriguing ahow.
The cast is amazing. Paula Patton gives both Cookie and Olivia Pope vibes.
The stylist is amazing.
