The latest One Piece episode brought with it a lot of exciting events, but it also may have triggered the fans of the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, Sanji. In episode 1105, which was released on May 18, 2024, fans were able to point out a change in one of the scenes from the manga that resulted in Sanji missing out on his epic moment.
Sanji – One Piece | Toei Animation
This led to fans getting angry with Toei Animation for not doing justice to the character of Sanji, and some even claimed that the studio is biased towards Zoro and favors the swordsman between the two. Zoro and Sanji already have a rivalry going on, and fans believe that cutting out scenes like this undermines Sanji’s importance as a character.
Some fans even targeted the One Piece animator Henry Thurlow, who is part of the One Piece anime staff at Toei Animation.

It says something about our weird multihyphenate celebrity era that the two lead actors of Runner Runner are both highly regarded for everything besides their acting. Ben Affleck just won an Oscar as the director-producer of Argo, part of a larger career renaissance that started with Gone Baby Gone and The Town. And Justin Timberlake is, well, Justin Timberlake, the omnipresent musician who split his comeback album in two and saw both parts climb to the top of the music charts. It seems unlikely that either of them are smarting over the box office failure of Runner Runner, partially because...

When you see Morgan Freeman, maybe you see God. Or the president of the United States. Or Nelson Mandela, or a kindly old convict, chauffeur, boxing trainer or superhero's business manager. Because he's played all those roles, and he always seems to have the answers to everything, doesn't he? And that voice! We'd buy a bag of broken light bulbs if he only narrated the commercial.
Everything out of Morgan Freeman's mouth not only sounds wise, it Is wise -- and we have proof in this video compilation of every deep, life-changing line the man ever said. Get busy watching this mashup, or get busy dying.

Steve Jobs, the business-savvy genius who pioneered home computing with Apple and conquered the movie industry with Pixar, has passed on at the age of 56. The official Apple website has posted a tribute to the company's visionary leader, and even President Obama issued a statement hailing Jobs as "among the greatest of American innovators."
Jobs co-founded Apple, and in 1986, purchased the computer animation division of Lucasfilm called The Graphics Group, which later became the Pixar animation studio, one of Hollywood's biggest runaway success stories.
His global influence is being paid tribute to via the devices he devised as some of the biggest names in Hollywood took to Twitter to pay tribute to Steve Jobs...

Whether slumming it in action flicks or working with Lars von Trier, Paul Bettany is rarely moved to watch his own films. Hermione Hoby meets the Hollywood idol who can't stand the movie business
Squaring an actor in the flesh with the person you've seen on screen is disorienting, but I'm having a particularly hard time with Paul Bettany. The man I've just been watching is a former boxer, broken in body and spirit after suffering a stroke. Pale and rheumy eyed, he spends much of Broken Lines cowed and meek, dabbing at the at the corner of his dribbling mouth before suddenly erupting into snarling, desperate rage. And now in front of me is this guy, tanned and animated and emanating enough warmth to power a fleet of electric cars.
"Oh, let me turn this off," he says, pocketing his iPhone as he shakes my hand. "Oh no, I shouldn't turn this off.

Long before Denzel Washington was Denzel -- the two-time Oscar winner who is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars -- he was a struggling actor taking the stage in summer stock and off-Broadway productions.
When he was cast as Malcolm X in “When Chickens Come Home to Roost” at the New Federal Theatre in 1981, little did he know that the role would propel his career into the stratosphere. Washington’s electric performance captivated audiences and caught the attention of television producers assembling the cast for a new TV hospital drama, “St. Elsewhere,” which went on to win multiple Emmys and push-start his jump to Hollywood. Sitting in the audience for one of those shows at the theater’s home on Grand Street on New York’s Lower East Side was a young Nyu film student named Spike Lee, who was blown away by Washington’s performance and chose him to...

Some musicians have a distinct advantage when it comes to launching an acting career, bringing celebrity and a fan base to the bargaining table that can add crucial appeal to their early prospects. However, musicians (and we use the term loosely), rappers and singers must also struggle with the preconceived notion that comes with them, to the ruin of many who cannot break free of their tabloid typecasting. But this can also be their greatest asset -- there is nothing audiences love more than watching someone defy expectation, other than perhaps a star, defying expectation. Many have tried, most have failed. Everyone from Michael Jackson to Mos Def, Method Man to Mick Jagger, have dabbled in acting with varying degrees of success. Most recently, Justin Timberlake has come out strong in "The Social Network," but we decided to focus on the early role, the first real performance of some of...

If you were to imagine a B-version of Goodfellas in the world of politics, you’d get Casino Jack. George Hickenlooper‘s final film is a a hit-and-mess tale of rise and fall. The story of Jack Abramoff should have been an epic. Abramoff’s story has been served in an enjoyable enough fashion, but it never reaches its fullest potential. This is a fun, minor film at best.
The film chronicles the rise and fall of the D.C. lobbyist and his minions. Here Abramoff being portrayed in an almost lampoonist fashion by Kevin Spacey. Most of the past decade has been a rough and disappointing one for Spacey, after the 1990s seemed made just for him. His filmography got filled with much beloved gems, but then, slowly but surely, got saddled with total mediocracy: Pay it Forward, K-Pax, The Life of David Gale and, who could forget, Edison Force.

You'd think after Be Cool tanked so spectacularly, that writer/director Barry Sonnenfeld might regroup and consider doing something different. You'd be wrong of course. In a bizarre case of jumping back on the horse and the bandwagon at the same time, Sonnenfeld has said he is actively pursuing an adaptation of Mark Haskell Smith's quirky mobster comedy novel Moist. Again. MTV spoke to Sonnenfeld, who has said he is trying to reinvigorate interest in the project after a failed attempt in 2005. At that time he was courting pop-star and wannabe actor Justin Timberlake for the lead role as a morgue attendant who becomes a mafia kingpin while trying to track down the real life inspiration for an erotic tattoo. While Sonnenfeld makes it clear that Timberlake had nothing to do with the original financing falling though (more likely to be a combination of Timberlake's critical drubbing in debut...

The film featuring pop superstar Justin Timberlake's acting debut is heading straight to video after receiving less-than-stellar reviews. Edison Force, which Timberlake filmed with Oscar-winning actors Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey in 2004, will go direct-to-video, bypassing a theatrical release. The film was screened at numerous film festivals last year, but has received bad reviews. The Hollywood Reporter said, "The movie is a parade of cliches. A star-studded dud of a B-picture." Justin Timberlake has pulled out of co-hosting an upcoming Motown 45 TV special with Lionel Richie, blaming his filming commitments. American TV network ABC insists the pop hunk's decision to withdraw is unrelated to protests from a number of African American groups, which felt he let Janet Jackson take the full blame for her flesh-baring stunt at this month's Super Bowl - where he ripped open her bustier to reveal her breast. The decision to use Timberlake for the special - to be filmed in April - was also blasted by groups because the "Rock Your Body" singer has never recorded for the legendary label. The show's executive producer Jeff Margolis says, "When Justin was asked to host the Motown 45th Anniversary special, he gladly accepted, but alerted us to the fact that he was in talks to star in his first motion picture (Edison) with Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman and that at the last minute there could possibly be a scheduling conflict. The movie in fact is scheduled to be shot in Canada at a time which no longer allows Justin to host the Motown 45 special.
