Many cops put plants in the old toilets and urinals, because the fixtures were never removed. In the first season of the show, the locker room for the women was a converted men's room that featured plants in an old urinal stall.
When Scott Plank, who had a recurring role on the series, died in a car accident, the producers decided not to re-cast his role, and did an episode dealing with his character's death. The episode became a tribute to the actor.
