Known to horror fans for playing Marge Guttman in 1982’s beloved sequel Halloween III: Season of the Witch, actress Garn Stephens has passed away this week at the age of 87.
The wife of Halloween III star Tom Atkins at the time, Garn Stephens played a memorable role in the unique franchise installment, her character dying a very gruesome death.
Sean Clark writes on Instagram, “Got the word over the weekend from Tom Atkins that his ex-wife Garn Stephens had passed away. Many of you may remember her as Marge Gutman in Halloween III: Season of the Witch. I was lucky enough to meet her back in 2004 when I interviewed her for the Halloween 25 Years of Terror documentary.”
In addition to Halloween III, Garn Stephens also appeared in films including Portrait of a Rebel: The Remarkable Mrs. Sanger, The Seduction of Miss Leona, Children in the Crossfire, Killer Instinct, and Something to Live For: The Alison Gertz Story...

MarVista Entertainment is on a shopping spree. TheWrap has learned that the production and distribution company has partnered with Canada's Evos Media to develop V.C. Andrews novel, “Daughters of Darkness,” for television. Additionally, TheWrap has learned that MarVista has optioned best selling novelist Alisa Valdes’ “The Dirty Girls Social Club” and “The Three Kings: A Christmas Dating Story.” The company has also bought the option to Louisa May Alcott's gothic thriller, “A Long Fatal Love Chase.” The company is currently exploring both TV and theatrical avenues for the three projects. The India pavilion at Festival de Cannes organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham) will be inaugurated on Thursday, 13th May 2010. Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Raghu Menon will inaugurate the official pavilion in the presence of other dignitaries.
The Indian Pavilion will run at the 63rd Cannes Film festival scheduled from 13-24 May, 2010 in France. The theme for the pavilion this year is "India: destination of Creative & Production Out-sourcing" and "India: emerging global capital of Animation & Special-effect".
