Nicola hails from Galway, in the west of Ireland where she has been acting since childhood. She trained at both The Oxford School of Drama and Birmingham School of Acting.
She made her on screen debut in the controversial short The Phantom Cnut directed by Tom Collins; director of the Oscar nominated Kings. As a teenager she appeared in animated series such as The Fairytaler, and the title role in France 3's The Little Vampire.
In 2008 she was awarded the 'Outstanding Individual Performance Award' in 'Acting Up' the National Improvisation Competition; judges were former head of the Irish Film Board Leila Doolin and eminent actor/director Alan Stanford.
At Drama School she worked with Dana Andersen of The Second City and was directed by the Royal Shakespeare Company's Vik Sivalingam and Gemma Fairlie.
In Mill on the Floss at Birmingham Hippodrome, one reviewer commented: "Coughlan has the rare advantage of being able to play a vast age span of character...largely due to her small stature and dainty features (she) was able to play Maggie at aged nine years so convincingly well"
The Stage Newspaper nominated her as 'One to Watch' following her graduation showcase, Susan Elkin commented; "Coughlan is very small in stature but uses her diminutiveness to striking effect. Her stage presence shone through in the monologue using her native Irish accent."
Nicola then went on to appear in BBC's Doctors (2011).
Following this Nicola played Kirsty in Luke Barnes' (Game of Thrones) Chapel Street directed by Bryony Shanahan, to rave reviews:
"Nicola Coughlan gave sensational a performance full of energy, verve and humour. Her characterisation was detailed and her delivery was unfaltering." THE ARGUS -FIVE STARS ***** "An on-point, breathless roller coaster (played) by the excellent Nicola Coughlan...she is superb in detail" WHAT'S ON STAGE-FIVE STARS ***** "Nicola Coughlan is outstanding as Kirsty" The Scotsman Four Stars ****
She has appeared in rehearsed readings for The National Theatre (New Playwright's Workshop 2011), Duck directed by Stella Feehily and Max Stafford-Clark for Out of Joint at The St James' Theatre. and Nadya by Chris Jury at The Park Theatre, which featured Phyllis Logan, Stephen Thompkinson, Michelle Terry, Shaun Prendergast & Dominic Mafham.
Most recently Nicola was chosen from 1,150 hopefuls to be one of seven emerging actors featured in the 'Old Vic New Voices Festival' last Summer at The Old Vic. She appeared as Jess in the two-hander Jess and Joe Forever by Zoe Cooper which received huge acclaim and a standing ovation on its first performance.- Actress

The favorite leading man of star Bette Davis was born George Brendan Nolan in Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland (although his place of birth has also been variosuly given as Raharabeg, County Roscommon and Shannonbridge, County Offaly). He was the youngest of five children born to shopkeeper John J. Nolan and Mary (McGuinness) Nolan, who lived on Main Street in Ballinasloe. His parents separated, making him an orphan from the tender age of eleven. From 1915, he lived with maternal relatives in New York until he was old enough to earn money. To make ends meet, he briefly became a sheep herder and even crossed the Atlantic to find work in the gold fields of South Africa.
George eventually returned to Ireland to study at the University of Dublin. By 1921, he had become -- despite his paternal ancestors' service in the British Army -- a despatch courier for Irish Republican Army guerrilla leader Michael Collins during the "The Troubles". At his time he was hunted by the Black and Tans with a bounty on his head. Goerge had, by then, developed an interest in acting and (partly to cover up his nightly activities for Sinn Fein) joined the Abbey Theatre Players. Tipped off by a double agent to his imminent arrest by British soldiers, he went into hiding and later skipped town. His return to acting was necessitated by the need for a sustainable source of income. By August 1921, he had returned to the U.S. via Canada.
Back in New York four years later, he toured with the hit play 'Abie's Irish Rose' and then with stock companies in Colorado, Florida, and Massachusetts, appearing in the ensemble cast of 'The Nightingale' on Broadway' (1927). Another three years on, George co-starred (with Alice Brady and Clark Gable) in the short-lived play 'Love, Honor and Betray'.
He worked in Hollywood from 1930, initially playing farmers, doctors and partner of Rin Tin Tin, before Warner Brothers finally recognised his potential as a handsome leading man for some of their more temperamental female stars. One of those was Ruth Chatterton who picked him to play opposite her in The Rich Are Always with Us (1932). This was the first of four films he made with the actress, whom he eventually married. They divorced after just two years. A specialist in dapper, sophisticated gentlemen, George gave reliable support to such stars as Greta Garbo, Hedy Lamarr, Barbara Stanwyck, and Bette Davis (with whom he appeared in 11 films). However, he could rarely be described as dynamic. In his own words, all a good leading man needed 'was a good haircut since an audience was only ever likely to see the back of his head'. On the other hand, he was able to accumulate six marriages, among his wives another Warner Brothers star (Ann Sheridan).
At his best opposite Davis (with whom he had an affair), the two appeared in 11 films together, including Front Page Woman (1935), Dark Victory (1939), The Old Maid (1939), and The Rains Came (1939). When lead roles became scarce, he appeared against type as the maniacal murderer in the Robert Siodmak-directed thriller The Spiral Staircase (1946). Following that, there were several B-movies on both sides of the Atlantic, after which Brent retired from acting to concentrate on breeding race horses. He died of emphysema in 1979, aged 75.- Cathy Belton was born on 17 January 1970 in Renmore, Galway, Ireland. She is an actress, known for Philomena (2013), Hidden Assets (2021) and Red Rock (2015).

Simon Phillips is an award winning British actor, probably best known Netflix show FUBAR with Arnold Schwarzenegger and The Witcher Season 3. He has also cited and won awards for his gruesome portrayal of Santa Claus in Christmas Horror features Once Upon A Time At Christmas and The Nights Before Christmas. His Feature film Butchers, garnered high praise from The Guardian Newspaper stating "It's Phillips' performance that keeps the film's pulse going. His Owen is exhilarating unpredictable, alternating between moments of meticulous villainy and sheer lunacy - one moment he will be refitting a spooky music box while eyeing his oblivious prey, next he will be whacking his victim bloodily, channeling a kind of biblical righteousness that makes him slippery, fascinating and, most importantly, terrifying to watch." He has appeared in feature films with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Mark Hamill, Robert Englund, Rutger Hauer, Richard E. Grant, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, John Malkovich and Mel Gibson.- Tara Breathnach was born in 1980 in Galway, Ireland. James Healey was born in Ireland, raised in the UK and migrated to Australia in 1970, and joined Crawford Productions in TV series Homicide, Division 4, Cop Shop and Matlock Police, before the age of twenty. He attended the National Institute Dramatic Arts (NIDA) after winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy Dramatic Art (RADA).
Healey adapted/produced Oscar Wilde's "De Profundis", and made his London debut in "The Golden Cradle" in honor of the Abbey Theatre in 1978 with Irish stage legend Siobhan McKenna. He joined Ronald Pickup and the National Theatre cast in Anglia TV's "Memories"; appeared in the BBC Play Even Solomon (1979), and guest-starred on Penmarric (1979).
Healey won critical acclaim as Heathcliff in "Wuthering Heights" (with Regional Premieres of West End Best Plays: "Privates on Parade", "Bedroom Farce", and "Ten Times Table"). He starred in Australian prime-time series The Restless Years (1977), and as artistic director formed the Falcon Theatre Company in 1983 to act, direct and produce such plays as "This Property is Condemned", "Snow Angel", and "Zoo Story".
Donald P. Bellisario contracted Healey for the lead role of Joshua Leopard in his new prime-time series Ultimate Adventure Company, set to succeed Magnum, P.I. (1980), which was ending its run on ABC. While under exclusive contract at Universal Studios for two years, he attended UCLA Extension Writers' Program, and screenwriting workshops with John Truby and Robert McKee. He guest-starred on Scarecrow and Mrs. King (1983), Father Dowling Mysteries (1989); and The Young Riders (1989). After the cancellation of the Ultimate Adventure Company, he would star opposite Joan Collins as Sean Rowan on Dynasty (1981).
Healey was accused of assault with charges reduced to a misdemeanor and community service. He rejoined Acapulco H.E.A.T. (1993) (with fellow Dynasty (1981) alum Catherine Oxenberg) in the reoccurring role of Strake. Producer Bernard L. Kowalski had reportedly previously optioned Healey's screenplay, "Ill-Fated". In 1995, famed producer and former head of Paramount Studios, Robert Evans, reportedly met with Healey for the actor to audition for the lead role in a possible reboot of "The Saint", and pick up the option for "Ill-Fated".
Healey returned to Australia in 1995 to rewrite the script, but his father was ill. Healey cared for for his father until the latter's death in 2000. Healey became a member of the Australian Writers' Guild (1997). In 2005, he formed Caesars Sword Productions. In 2008, Dion & Randall Productions engaged Healey to write "Gypsy Moon", which premiered at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill in Seoul, South Korea. The show became a box-office hit with more than 400,000 attending 497 performances from 2008-10.
A documentary, "It'll be Right on the Night", written and directed by Healey and co-produced by Caesars Sword Productions & Dion and Randall Productions, concerns the challenges confronting Gypsy Moon from concept in Melbourne, to Opening Night in Seoul. In 2010, Healey re-wrote "Will-o'-the-Wisp", re-titled "Poacher", a semifinalist in film festivals, including the L.A. Shriekfest Festival. From 2011-12, "Will-o'-the-Wisp" is in development with Mitchell German at Reelwriting.com. In May 2012 the screenplay entered the Inktip Pitch Summit in Los Angeles.
"Ill-Fated" was purchased by Reel Movie Productions, Melbourne, and the script Precognition optioned. Healey tested for the lead role of Hunter in the pilot episode of a US TV series, "Awakening", and for the lead role of Michael Grace in another proposed U.S. television series, "Grace" (which was not picked up by the ABC network).- Actress

- Born in Ireland in 1856 of Welsh parents, Harris became a noted writer as well as a friend and confidante of the elite literati of his day including fellow Irishmen Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde, and George Bernard Shaw in addition to Guy de Maupassant, Matthew Arnold, Aleister Cowley, and James Thurber. His varied career includes credits as a reporter (during the Boer War), editor (of the London Evening News), publisher, short story writer, novelist, playwright, biographer (of Shaw and Wilde), and Shakesperean scholar. However, his only enduring fame comes from his controversial, sexually explicit memoir, "My Life and Loves."
Emigrating to the United States in 1871, Harris attended the University of Kansas and spent time as a cowhand on the Great Plains. He initially included this portion of his life in his memoirs, but they were later published under the title "My Reminisences as a Cowboy," which became the basis for the Delmar Daves' 1958 "Cowboy" starring Glenn Ford with Jack Lemmon as the young Harris.
Harris traveled throughout Continental Europe and England (1879-1887), where he began his writing career and associations with the great literary figures of his time. He published his first short story in 1891. A 1913 story, "The Magic Glasses," became the basis of a 1934 Technicolor MGM short, "The Spectacle Maker."
Harris returned to the States and became a U.S. citizen in 1921. Three times married, he suffered from legal, financial, and health problems during the latter part of his life. During his last decade he released multiple volumes of "My Life and Loves," including the infamous, sexually explicit first volume, published privately in France in 1922, chronicling his libidinous escapades in graphic detail replete with photographs of his naked paramours.
Further installments followed and a fifth volume was published posthumously in 1931. Harris biographers have pointed out numerous cases of Harris' exaggerating important biographical details and, in some cases, fabricating entire episodes. Ironoically his prodigious literary output is largely forgotten with the exception of his salacious memoir. - Production Manager
