I was not in love with "Saved by the Bell." In fact, it was a show I think I watched just because it was the only afterschool programming on. It was good enough, but it was always a bit corny to me.
I didn't think Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), A. C. Slater (Mario Lopez), Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies), Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen), and Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) were all that cool. There was no question that Screech (Dustin Diamond) wasn't cool, but the others were supposed to be. Every once in a while they'd do something that was actually funny or interesting, but for the most part the show was just white noise for me.
