My all-time love for this show leads me to rate it a 10. I haven't given Grey's 17 years of my life of watching all 400 episodes as they aired and binge watching by collection DVDs and Netflix just to rate them a 6 or 7 - which I feel might be fair given the current state of the show. It's so depressing to see what the producers, writers and directors have allowed this show to become all because the network sees dollars where they should see quality. This show could have ended seasons ago and fans would be binge watching all seasons on streaming apps just fine. Season 10 would have been a perfect season to wrap it up. Patrick Dempsey was already looking to leave by the time, and Ellen Pompeo was uncertain of the show's future back then - she also wasn't as burned out as she is now with the show. When Sandra left, that was in the works in her contract well before Season 10. Katherine Heigl and T. R. Knight are gone. Season 11 is when Grey's took a new format and things just started "existing" with the show. It's like the creators were just producing episodes as fillers just to maintain longevity. We saw more anchor cast members leave overtime and it felt like death happening slowly: Sara Ramirez, Jessica Capshaw, Sarah Drew, Justin Chambers, Jesse Williams... each time these departures happened they took pieces of the show with them and left us with fragments.
