The Golden Bachelorette alum Mark Anderson’s odds as the next Golden Bachelor following his week 5 exit might be shrinking. As the season finale looms in the not-too-distant future, Anderson is spending a lot of time on social media … and popping up in other people’s feeds.
A recent photo of Mark Anderson suggests he may be getting ready to hard-launch a relationship on Instagram. If Anderson is dating someone, he won’t star in season 2 of The Golden Bachelor. Still, he may have found love, if that is what this is.

Joan Vassos hasn’t found her perfect love on The Golden Bachelorette just yet. Still, she has an impressive pool of contestants who could become the next Golden Bachelor — should ABC choose to move forward with the series. If they do, these three contestants would make ideal leads.

Joan Vassos has spent the last few weeks methodically and carefully eliminating potential suitors as she tries to find her next great love on The Golden Bachelorette. While there have been allegations against a couple of contestants, Vassos has met mostly wholesome men. In fact, she has so many good options that fans are always left upset by who is sent home. Vassos’ inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette is unique. So far, she’s had no contestants self-eliminate, but the competition is still young.
[Spoiler alert: The Golden Bachelorette Season 1 spoilers ahead.]
No one has self-eliminated yet
Joan Vassos’ hasn’t had a contestant self-eliminate from her season just yet, but a family tragedy almost led to one contestant walking away from the show. The Golden Bachelorette is just four weeks into its inaugural season, but the drama is ramping up. While dramatic moments in a dating competition make for good TV, there is a serious problem with the drama surrounding The Golden Bachelorette; very little of it is unfolding on screen. Earlier in the series, a restraining order taken out against former contestant Gil Ramirez surfaced. Now, Guy Gansert, one of the competition’s frontrunners, is being accused of inappropriate behavior, too.
Guy Gansert’s ex filed for a restraining order
From the beginning, Guy Gansert has been a frontrunner on Joan Vassos’ season of The Golden Bachelorette. However, a restraining order request suggests that Gansert might not be the laidback gentleman he appears to be on the show. According to court records obtained by the U.S. Sun, Gansert’s former love interest sought an order of protection against him in 2021.

Joan Vassos’ season of The Golden Bachelorette is off to a rocky start, with news that one of her contestants had a restraining order taken out against him days before entering the mansion. While Gil Ramirez is a problematic part of the season, he isn’t the only issue. Fans weren’t prepared to see Gerry Turner show up again. His appearance sums up pretty much everything that is wrong with the series.
Why did Gerry Turner appear on ‘The Golden Bachelorette’
Gerry Turner showed up in episode 3 of The Golden Bachelorette to offer Joan Vassos some advice. That’s not all that Turner appeared to be after, though. He never asked her to take him back.
Still, he did give the vibe of someone looking for a second chance with the Maryland resident. The scene didn’t come off as particularly romantic or sweet, though. In fact, it felt uncomfortable.

Jack Lencioni was sent home after just two weeks on The Golden Bachelorette. Despite his short-lived status as a competitor, he made a huge impression on fans watching the show. Thankfully, his elimination hasn’t soured his view on reality TV. Lencioni recently revealed he’d be interested in returning to the network for another dating competition.
Jack Lencioni is open to appearing on ‘The Golden Bachelor in Paradise’ if it ever happens
Jack Lencioni sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly following his departure from The Golden Bachelorette mansion. While the caterer didn’t make it particularly far into the competition, he became a fan favorite on night one, and clearly, he enjoyed his reality TV experience.

Jack Lencioni didn’t receive a rose at the end of episode 2 of The Golden Bachelorette. His elimination upset fans who thought Lencioni brought a little bit of fun to the mansion. While the caterer didn’t make it particularly far into the competition, he doesn’t regret going on the show. Lencioni signed up for the series despite his ex-wife and daughters’ objections.
Jack Lencioni’s family didn’t support his ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ journey initially
Jack Lencioni didn’t hold back during his short-lived appearance on The Golden Bachelorette. Now that he’s been eliminated, he’s free to discuss his experience. His first sitdown chat was with Nick Viall for the acclaimed podcast The Viall Files.

The first episode of Abbott Elementary season 4 is titled "Back to School," and the staff are definitely going to have their hands full based on the trailer! As always, the school is very underfunded, and the hilarious trailer starts with Melissa and Barbara asking Principal Ava for books and paper towels for their classrooms. You know, basic necessities. But we know these poor guys have to work with what they've got. And of course Ava has a sarcastic response in return.
Jacob seems to have another mystery enemy other than Mr. Morton, the class pets may not be as great as they sound (the teachers asked for money for after school programs and got this instead), there's a visit from Hr, and ringworm is going around. A lockdown might be in store based on the video with Ava all suited up.
But we know this group of educators is going...

Inside ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ Senior Prom: Joan Vassos and Her Suitors Unpack Season’s First Date
“The Golden Bachelorette” Joan Vassos kicked off her journey for love with some nostalgia as the ABC reality dating show hosted its very own senior prom.
TheWrap visited Calabasas High School’s decked-out gymnasium in late June for “The Golden Bachelorette’s” very first date of the season, which the leading lady revealed was her idea.
“[The prom] was actually my son’s girlfriend’s idea, but my idea was [to] have all the other ladies from the ‘Golden Bachelor’ season come back and help me pick a prom king or something,” Vassos told TheWrap. Though that reunion ultimately wasn’t able to come together, she said would be “thrilled” to see any of her former cast members. “I think I could use their advice — they know what this is about, they get it.”

Joan Vassos had some hard decisions to make last night on the premiere episode of The Golden Bachelorette. Still, the Maryland-based mother of four didn’t seem to struggle when picking the man who would get her first impression rose. Joan confidently handed out the rose, and we can totally see why she chose the recipient.
Who did Joan Vassos give her first impression rose to?
The men of The Golden Bachelorette did not disappoint when it came to their entrances. One suitor showed up blindfolded, while another offered soup he had prepared. Another still appeared on horseback while another serenaded Joan. None of those men made a big enough impression to get Joan’s first impression rose, though.

Abbott Elementary is one of the best comedies, not just on the air right now, but ever made! Its use of humor while tackling real issues some people face in the workforce, in particular teachers and schools of course, just make it a unique and fun watch. With the Emmys 2024 coming up, we're thinking about our favorite show and its chances of winning.
The sitcom deserves to finally take home Best Comedy this year at the Emmys because it's already been snubbed one too many times; the show is innovative and interesting, has great comedic timing; and the ensemble cast is one of the best on TV. Like, seriously. Every actor was cast in their role so perfectly. I think it's also a relatable show for many people, while staying lighthearted and and amusing. If I had a vote at the Emmys, Abbott would definitely earn mine!

‘Fallout,’ ‘The Bear,’ ‘True Detective: Night Country’ Top Nielsen’s Most-Watched 2024 Emmy Nominees
Ahead of Sunday’s telecast of the Primetime Emmy Awards on ABC, Nielsen has unveiled its ranking for the most-watched titles and talent nominated this year.
“The nominees for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards demonstrate the power of both new and long-running programming to attract viewers’ time and attention,” the ratings firm said in a Thursday statement. “By understanding how audiences are voting with their time, brands and platforms can ensure they’re reaching audiences where they are and create meaningful partnerships with the talent they are investing their time in.”
In order to align with Emmy rules, Nielsen focused on the eligibility period of June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024. For the Best Drama and Best Comedy categories, Nielsen measured time spent watching the season that occurred within that window for which a given title was nominated. Earlier this summer at San Diego Comic-Con, our fave Quinta Brunson, who is the creator of Abbott Elementary and plays teacher Janine Teagues, teased that there's an "interesting crossover" episode coming in season 4 that's "really exciting" and will "change television as we know it." Of course since she said that, us fans have been thinking about what it could be because she didn't share who or what it is.
Crossover episodes are always fun because if you're watching two shows on a network and see the characters collide, it's really awesome as a viewer! Brunson shared that this crossover is going to be unique and different, and that got the gears turning in my head. Now look, my theory is a bit out there. But just here me out.

Abbott Elementary will still air on Wednesday March 6, but no new episode will be broadcast, and that’s for a very specific reason. As previously unveiled by ABC, a new episode of Abbott would broadcast following the 96th Academy Awards. In other words, the biggest night for movies is set to be the lead-in for Abbott‘s forthcoming episode, “Willard R. Abbott.” The installment will see the titular school deemed a Philadelphia historical landmark, much to the excitement of principal Ava (Janelle James) and Janine (Quinta Brunson), but Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph) and Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter) aren’t as impressed with the accolade. As the school plans a celebration in honor of its namesake, not everything will go as planned. (Credit: Disney/Gilles Mingasson) Joining Brunson, James, Ralph, Walter, Tyler James Williams, Chris Perfetti, and William Stanford Davis for the episode are guest stars June Diane Raphael and Jennifer Elise Cox.

The Abbott Elementary faculty are dealing with a hard truth in the latest episode, “Smoking,” as they realize a very important policy has flown under the radar when a student is caught smoking. As the staff comes together to review the drug policy, they realize it’s quite outdated, particularly when it comes to the banning of cigarettes as seen in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek clip, above. “On the school’s website, we have no skateboarding, no vaping, no loitering, no horseplay, no weapons, no open flames, no bullying, and no gambling,” Ava (Janelle James) reports to her colleagues as she rattles off Abbott’s rule list. (Credit: Disney/Gilles Mingasson) “That last one’s just for students though, right?” Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter) asks quietly, but she doesn’t receive an answer. Instead, Ava continues to reveal, “There’s nothing here about cigarettes.” As the principal prompts...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Abbott Elementary Season 2.] Abbott Elementary‘s third season may not be on the horizon anytime soon amid ongoing writers and actors strikes, but we can’t help but wonder about what awaits us once it finally does return, mainly what’s next for Janine (Quinta Brunson) and Gregory (Tyler James Williams). The will-they-won’t-they duo finally admitted their feelings for one another in the Season 2 finale episode, “Franklin Institute,” but for viewers rooting them on at home, there wasn’t the romantic outcome they’d hoped for. Janine decided she needed to take time to be selfish and spend time by herself to maintain their friendship instead of potentially spoiling the promise and potential they have as a couple in the future. (Credit: ABC/Gilles Mingasson) While Gregory respects her wishes, it was clear he was disappointed by the outcome as the duo geared up for the upcoming end of year at Abbott.

It takes a village on “Abbott Elementary,” whether that means the show’s incredible background students creating the art that hangs on Abbott’s walls or department heads collaborating to express how characters are challenged by the situations they find themselves in.
While contemporary series — particularly comedies — don’t often get too stylized, that doesn’t mean character isn’t being expressed (and constantly tweaked). “Abbott Elementary” makeup department head Alisha L. Baijounas had a very specific Season 2 trajectory for Janine (show creator and star Quinta Brunson), and at least the hope for where she would end up by season’s end.
“I have a thing for Janine and Gregory’s relationship, so I kept hoping it was going to develop. And it was so funny having Quinta in the chair because I could always give her my opinion about how I wanted it to go,” Baijounas told IndieWire. “Getting...

A few main cast members have left ABC‘s The Rookie over five seasons. Mercedes Mason, who played Zoe Andersen, and Afton Williamson, who played Talia Bishop, exited the series during and after the first season. But the most heartbreaking departure came when The Rookie killed off Titus Makin Jr.’s character Jackson West in the season 4 premiere.

The Rookie introduced Titus Makin Jr.’s character Jackson West during the series premiere. He, Nathan Fillion’s John Nolan, and Melissa O’Neil’s Lucy Chen were all rookies assigned to the Mid-Wilshire station in the LAPD. Jackson’s training officer was Angela Lopez, and the two developed a close friendship over their time together.
Jackson also trained in the academy alongside Nolan and Chen, so they had a close bond.

‘Abbott Elementary’ Showrunners Look to Season 3 and Tease More of Janine and Gregory’s Romantic Arc
TV enthusiasts already know that “Abbott Elementary,” ABC’s mockumentary-style half-hour comedy from Quinta Brunson, is best in class. But there’s more to the Emmy-winning sitcom than meets the eye as it delves deeper into its setting within a Philadelphia public school system. In Season 2, “Abbott” has touched on topics from the issue of charter schools to a city-specific mural arts program (explored in Wednesday’s episode), and showrunners Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker previewed that there’s more to come as the series heads into its junior installment.
“We’re going into Season 3 with some ideas of an aspect — that I won’t spoil — of the school system that we want to explore a little bit more,” executive producer Schumacker told TheWrap. He added, laughing, “I think we’re approaching it like ‘The Wire’ — different facets of this ecosystem.”
