Dodie Brown is an award winning American actor born and raised in Louisiana. As a child, she developed her love for performing with the Richland Players Theatre Group in musicals like Oklahoma, Oliver, and The Music Man. She graduated from Northeast Louisiana University, where she was a cheerleader. She also was a professional dancer for the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL) team called the Shreveport Mudbugs.
In 2006, Dodie was cast by Director Frank Darabont in Stephen King's The Mist alongside her daughter, Taylor, who was six years old at the time. Since, Dodie has consistently worked, mostly in the Southeast, in a variety of film and television productions. She is known to fully inhabit any character she portrays.
Dodie is also a certified fitness instructor and enjoys sharing her passion for fitness with others.
