Mother! The CW’s Superman & Lois just dropped the trailer for its third season exclusively on our laps and it’s looking like Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) are in for some mommy issues, as well as more of the epic adventures that make this show so damn good. Early on, we get a glimpse of Ck’s Kryptonian mom Lara (Mariana Klaveno) in all her holographic glory as sonny boy brings the wife and kids — including Michael Bishop, who replaces Jordan Elsass as Jonathan — to the newly sprouted Fortress of Solitude. And then, after sepia-soaked shots of the twins’ birthday celebration, Lois tells Clark that she may be pregnant with their third. Whether that’s happy news or not for the Dad of Steel remains to be seen because the clip immediately shifts into high gear, with explosions, aerial business, Lois’ abduction, and a return...

Family Feud was the name of the game on Tuesday’s Superman & Lois, which tested the bonds between sisters, brothers — and even husbands and wives.
On a more hopeful note, the episode began with some answers: We learned that Bizarro came to this world using an artifact that was created when his (extremely red) world split from Superman’s. Paired with its counterpart, which is currently in Ally Allston’s possession, the artifact can “elevate a person to godhood.” So… yikes!

Just when we thought we’d seen the last of Kal-El’s troublemaking brother, Tal-Rho returned on Tuesday’s Superman & Lois to lend a surprisingly helping hand — and he wasn’t the only family member we reunited with this week.
Still plagued by visions of destruction, Kal-El sought answers from his imprisoned brother, who in turn suggested that they consult the hologram of their mother Lara Lor-Van (played by Mariana Klaveno of Devious Maids and True Blood fame). Lara was overjoyed to see her sons together, but while she insisted that it was Zeta-Rho who kept them apart, Tal-Rho doubled...

Barring a last-minute change of heart from both parties, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s time with The Terminator franchise has officially come to a close, signalling that 2015’s Genisys – a botched franchise revival that was initially designed to jump-start a new trilogy of movies, much like Salvation before it – will indeed go down as the Austrian Oak’s last appearance in James Cameron’s iconic sci-fi series.
That opens up room on Schwarzenegger’s slate for two things, it seems: online spats with Donald Trump and, perhaps most interesting of all, a return to drama-oriented material in the vein of Aftermath, Elliott Lester’s nervy revenge thriller that chronicles the crash and subsequent fallout of the Überlingen mid-air collision. Formerly titled 478, the picture places Schwarzenegger in the boots of a working-class husband and father who prepares to welcome his family – namely his wife and pregnant daughter – home after a long trip away.

"I would like for someone to say that they're sorry for killing my family." Lionsgate Premiere has released a trailer for a film titled Aftermath, about the lives of two people intertwined after an airplane accident. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a father who struggles with grief after his wife and daughter are killed in a plane crash. Scoot McNairy plays an air traffic controller who makes an error that leads to the accident. The cast includes Maggie Grace, Kevin Zegers, Hannah Ware, Glenn Morshower, and Mariana Klaveno. In addition, Darren Aronofsky is listed as a producer on the film, along with his co-producing partner Scott Franklin. This looks quite solid, even though it seems like such a sad story for everyone in this. Here's the first trailer (+ poster) for Elliott Lester's Aftermath, direct from YouTube: Two strangers’ lives become inextricably bound together after a devastating plane crash. Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Hell-Bent on Getting an Apology in Trailer for Darren Aronofsky's Aftermath
It looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger gives a very dramatic performance in the Darren Aronofsky-produced thriller Aftermath. In the film, Schwarzenegger's wife and daughter are killed on an airplane after it collides with another plane. He's absolutely devastated and is hell-bent on getting an apology from the person who was held responsible. It actually looks like a powerful and intense movie worth watching. It looks like Schwarzenegger might give a great performance.

There tends to be a stereotypical assumption that people working in air traffic control are more prone to suicide. Official statistics are sketchy, mind you, but there’s no question that employment at the Atc isn’t your average 9-to-5. Overseeing a fleet of airplanes day in, day out, where a split-second decision can be the difference between life and death is an area of expertise reserved for the crème de la crème, something Peter Nielsen knew all too well.
More than a decade ago, Nielsen was a Swiss air traffic controller on the clock during the infamous Überlingen mid-air collision, which resulted in the death of more than 70 people, including the wife and two children of Russian architect Vitaly Kaloyev. Such a tragic disaster sparked a fierce fight for justice back in 2002, and director Elliott Lester will soon introduce that saga to moviegoers in the form of Aftermath.

Following his producing work on last year’s Jackie, Darren Aronofsky will be back this fall with his Noah follow-up, the highly-anticipated mother! (yes, that’s how to actually write the title), which was just set for an October 13, 2017 release. However, before that drama starring Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Domhnall Gleeson, he’s produced another film and the first trailer has landed today.
Originally titled 478 (but now going by Aftermath), the thriller, directed by Elliott Lester (Nightingale) and written by Javier Gullón (Enemy), stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a man whose family dies in a plane crash. Caused by an error from an air traffic controller, Schwarzenegger is out for revenge. Rather than an old-fashioned beat-em-up that the actor might have taken on in his heyday, this looks to path some genuine emotional pathos.
Also starring Mariana Klaveno, Kevin Zegers, Scoot McNairy, and Larry Sullivan, check out the trailer below.

[In case you've Forgotten, and as I will continue to mention each and every one of these posts that I do: This is *not* a review. Pilots change. Sometimes a lot. Often for the better. Sometimes for the worse. But they change. Actual reviews will be coming in September and perhaps October (and maybe midseason in some cases). This is, however, a brief gut reaction to not-for-air pilots. I know some people will be all "These are reviews." If you've read me, you've read my reviews and you know this isn't what they look like.] Show: "Stalker" (CBS) The Pitch: "'CSI' is still steady, but too often the victims are men and that's scaring off fans of 'Criminal Minds.' We need something with more women in peril." "Yahtzee!" Quick Response: There isn't a thing I can say here that would make a lick of difference to you. If you like "Criminal Minds," you'll probably like this. Shrug. Similarly if you get off on the exploitative violence of "The Following" -- possibly even more exploitative in its parent-torturing second season than in its literarily pretentious first -- you'll probably get off on "Stalker" as well. Me, I found "Stalker" excruciatingly and offensively glib. Here, Williamson is dangerously-close-to-literally cutting and pasting scenes and twists from his slasher and horror movies -- cheap fake-out shock-scares, threatening phone calls and parking lot terrorizing paranoia are his jam -- but here they've been repurposed in a show that likes...

Last year, the ratings for Devious Maids started low but grew over the course of the season. Will they keep rising in season two or will they fall? Will this Lifetime series be cancelled, or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.

The large cast includes Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sánchez, Judy Reyes, Edy Ganem, Susan Lucci, Rebecca Wisocky, Tom Irwin, Grant Show, Drew Van Acker, Mariana Klaveno, Brianna Brown, Brett Cullen, Wolé Parks, Mark Deklin, Joanna P. Adler, Colin Woodell, and Dominic Adams.

Devious Maids probably isn’t an especially surprising show, if you know that it comes to you from the creator of Desperate Housewives, but even in comparison to that effort, it’s a certain kind of forward move. Desperate Housewives started off aiming for what we’ve actually achieved with Devious Maids, but it wasn’t quite there, and it didn’t take long for it to turn down a less interesting road.
The guilty pleasure genre is a tricky one, especially if you want people to help spread the word by admitting they watch your show, and there is a razor thin line separating worthwhile efforts from shows that are calling their own audiences stupid. Worse, virtually every aspect of creating the story you’re after is trying desperately to shove you over that line.

Victor Rasuk has come a long way since starring in the lead role of Peter Sollett’s 2002 festival sensation, Raising Victor Vargas, and is now set to become a very familiar face indeed as he signs on for Kevin Williamson’s new, as-yet-untitled psychological thriller.
Wending its way to the small screen through Williamson’s Outerbanks Entertainment and Warner Bros TV, this new, dark thriller focuses on a newcomer to the Threat Assessment Unit of the Lapd, which deals with stalking incidents. With Dylan McDermott in the lead role as Jack Larsen, supported by Maggie Q (Divergent) and Mariana Klaveno (True Blood), Victor Rasuk will play Ben – a loyal, but morally shady detective with the unit. The show is being developed for CBS.

Without a doubt, when I was looking through the schedule for the first day of Stan Lee’S Comikaze, “Vampires In Pop Culture And Myth” stood out as the must-see. This was due not only to my love of monsters, but also to a star-studded panel moderated by Buffy and Angel star Juliet Landau (Drusilla!), who was joined by the masterminds of Grimm, writers David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf (who also worked on Buffy and Angel), Mariana Klaveno of True Blood fame (Lorena to you), musician David J (from the bands Bauhaus, Love and Rockets), Gavin Hignight of FEARnet, and Georges Jeanty, the artist for Buffy Season 8, 9, and for the upcoming Firefly series.
The panel came together, in part, due to a feature length documentary in the works from Juliet Landau and Deverill Weekes, a project that will explore many of the themes and topics discussed in the panel. I...

The first season of Lifetime's over-the-top soap "Devious Maids" came to a satisfying end Sunday (Sept. 22) when the Powells stopped their divorce proceedings to commit murder. Nothing like hate to rekindle love.
Oh, and speaking of murder (spoilers coming right up) ...
Philippe did it.
The ex-husband and current fiancé of Genevieve (Susan Lucci) killed Flora, which is where we all joined the story. Adrian and Evelyn Powell (Tom Irwin and Rebecca Wisocky) killed him.
Everyone except perpetually clueless Genevieve realized that Philippe is evil. Just as he was about to kill another maid, Marisol (Ana Ortiz), the Powells slipped him a drug and staged his suicide. They did not do this to protect Marisol, but rather for Adrian to exact his revenge on Philippe for killing "his maid."

Lifetime's "Devious Maids" has been building to a major reveal in its season finale, and to understand who killed Flora and why, Lifetime is re-airing the entire season Sunday (Sept. 22) in advance of the finale. The marathon starts at 10 a.m. Et.
The show will end as it began -- at a black-tie pool party at the Powells.
In the pilot, a maid, Flora (Paula Garces), was fatally stabbed. She staggered out to the party, and collapsed into the pool, her blood billowing about her.
A young cater waiter was immediately arrested, which made sense considering all the evidence pointed to him knifing her. But his mother, Marisol (Ana Ortiz), was so certain of her son's innocence that she gave up her job as a college professor and went undercover as a maid.
