Rhea is an Indian - Canadian production designer. She had a strong passion for visual storytelling from an early age. She was born in Mumbai, raised in Vancouver and has worked in Los Angeles; living in all the major film cities of the world she was exposed to film production early on and was completely hooked. To pursue her passion, she began working in theater productions in both India and USA and studied at Arizona State University, completing her Bachelors in Theatre Design & Production, Film and Digital Culture where she focused on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality design. She then completed her Masters in Production Design from the American Film Institute Conservatory, which is the one of the most prestigious film schools in the world and the best Production Design program in the US. She was one of their youngest graduates ever. Her films have received appreciation across the world at major film festivals, including official selections at more than 30 film festivals such as Tribeca Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival and more. Her latest film "We Were Meant To" is an official selection at Sundance Film Festival, having been selected out of almost 11,000 applicants. Her previous film "Amina" premiered in theaters across America as the opener for Jordan Peele's latest hit "Nope." Her prestigious work also includes Netflix's latest hit Dahmer which has quickly surpassed streaming records and become one of the streamer's largest shows of all time. She is passionate about delivering powerful and immersive experiences and messages through storytelling using a combination of traditional filmmaking, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), NFTs and the meta-verse.
