Exclusive: Eva Larue, who played DNA analyst Natalia Boa Vista in CSI: Miami and Maria Santos on the soap opera All My Children, is turning her own experiences of being stalked into a pair of TV projects.
Larue and her family, including daughter Kaya Callahan, were stalked by James David Rogers for 12 years and he was sentenced to just over three years in prison as punishment for his crime last year.
She has now teamed with Toronto-based producer Forté Entertainment to develop both scripted and unscripted projects. My Nightmare Stalker will include a scripted series, premium documentary series and a returning factual spin-off program.

Rapper and producer Kanye West has just dropped out of the 2020 presidential race. The announcement of his withdrawal was made by campaign advisor Steve Kramer, and it marks the end of a short bid for the Oval Office.
“He’s out…” Kramer said in a recent interview. Aside from this brief statement, however, he isn’t currently authorized to say much else. “I’ll let you know what I know once I get all our stuff cancelled.”
Kramer, a get-out-the-vote specialist by trade, was hired to help get the musician’s name onto ballots in Florida as well as South Carolina. However, West’s participation in the race, which had been announced as recently as July 4th, posed many challenges.
Despite these challenges, though, he managed to amass a respectable amount of support. “We had overwhelming support to get him on the ballot,” Kramer said. “Whether anybody is going to...

Hello again, dear readers. I hope the year is off to a good start for all of you. It’s coming to you later than I intended, but here’s the first Trailer Trashin’ column of 2016. Now let’s take a look at the teaser trailer for director James Wan’s upcoming horror sequel The Conjuring 2.
Premise: Husband and wife paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
My take: Ever since I first saw The Conjuring (2013), it’s been one of my favorite horror movies. Inspired by the work of real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, it was a smartly written, sharply directed film with good scares, a talented cast playing characters we actually cared about, and which made good use of its period 1970s setting.

Ready for round three of invitationals? I sure am. Friends, we know how it goes -- the winner of Last Comic Standing will win $250,000, a sweet NBC development deal, and the amazing chance to say that they won season 9 of Last Comic Standing. I'm sure it's an amazing way to pick up someone at a bar. "You might remember me from the television..."
As per usual, Anthony Jeselnik comes out and introduces Keenen Ivory Wayans, Roseanne Barr, and Norm McDonald. First up on the stage is Jamaican Drew Thomas. Is being Jamaican part of his act? Only time will tell!

Taylor Handley, Dominic Devore, Kate French, Skyler Day and Christian Camargo have joined the cast of indie thriller "Channeling" says Variety.
The story follows various characters who seek validation by broadcasting their lives to as big an audience as possible.
Drew Thomas penned the script and is directing the project which he, Laila Ansari and Gerry Santos are producing. Shooting kicked off in Los Angeles earlier this month.

If you don’t know the name Taylor Handley yet — his biggest on-screen credits to date include The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and Battle: Los Angeles — chances are that might change over the course of the next year. He’s headlining Jason Dudek‘s Mentryville, which co-stars Danny Glover, but more interesting to me is the supporting credit he has in Curtis Hanson‘s Of Men and Mavericks — which, being a firm L.A. Confidential devotee, I’m obviously looking forward to.
And with the indie thriller Channeling, Handley has now added another project to his in-the-works lineup. The film comes from Drew Thomas, who also penned the script and, along with Laila Ansari and Gerry Santos, will produce the film. It’s been described rather vaguely as a story that “centers [on] characters who seek validation by broadcasting their lives to as big an audience as possible.” [Variety]

The problem with Shark Week is that after writing about it for a few days, you're going to end up sort of repeating yourself. The same thing happens with any major multi day television event (as those of you who made it through my Winter Olympics coverage can attest) and I'm like "Man, how can I spin this material for another two three days" (I keep thinking it's Wednesday for some reason.) Then I open my inbox and remember why I love writing for Pajiba. Dudley's Mom sent me a link today detailing the heartbreaking, frustrating and deeply important search for nothing less than free range shark poop. Enjoy. Here's tonight's TV:

"Hell's Kitchen" on Fox
"Marvin Hamlisch Presents: The Way We Were - The 70s" on PBS
"Pretty Little Liars" on ABC Family
"Wipeout" on ABC

I am amazed how often I can do absolutely nothing of note all day and still feel tired in the afternoon. Like, it doesn't matter when I wake up, when I went to bed, what I did or what I've eaten, around 3 p.m. or so I just hit a wall where my body's like "Nap Time!!!" Caffeine doesn't help, sometimes it just makes it worse. Anyway, Misery Monday is half back tonight, so I'm sure there's plenty of you out there with your popcorn ready to watch some painful footage of addicts/people with Ocd work through their issues so you can feel better about your own lives. I think that's the point, is that the point? Those shows just make me horribly uncomfortable. At least with "Hoarders" I usually get inspired to do some cleaning or just throw shit out more often in general. Anyway, here's Monday night's TV:

Minutes after the America’s Got Talent finalists were named on Wednesday’s show, the lucky five (not four, as were intended) spoke with People about the competition. The lineup includes a trio of singing singers from New York, a country singer from Kentucky, a quintet of dancing moms, a grandma stand-up comic, and a trio of Texan opera/country crooners. The disappointed eliminated acts went home in tears (at least Drew Thomas’s daughter did) and long-faced (Acrodunk). Only four acts were supposed to go through, but the judges couldn't make up their minds and elected to send both Voices of Glory and Fab Five to the finals. Softies. --Nicholas White Kevin Skinner Did you sleep last night? Actually, I didn’t really sleep at all last night. I was practicing. A lot of people said you should have got a little sleep, but I’m a perfectionist. I wanted everything perfect.

Let's make sure we're all on the same page before we dive into our recap of last night's results. You dumped Acrodunk...but pushed The Voices of Glory. You sent Paradizo Dance, two enormously talented acrobatic dancers, home...so you could watch Grandma Lee tell the same moderately humorous joke she's been telling for two months. Again. What?! Worst of all is the fact that you took all of those voting cues from this man: Who do I have to see to get a Xanax around here? The first half -- and a little extra! -- of the final eight contestants was selected last night, and it's hardly the assembly any merit-based program would want to promote. I mean, there's Fab Five (you chose wisely) and Kevin Skinner and Texas Tenors, all three of whom fairly well deserved their advancement (and were pretty much a lock, anyway). But again, you...

It's not something I would have considered two months ago, when this show was first unleashed on the American public, but all that time we've spent with certain contestant suddenly makes the decision of who goes on, well, difficult. Each of the remaining 20 acts has performed three times now, and we've gotten to see their journey (or at least parts) and get to know them as people -- people devoted to their dreams, people for whom this show is the biggest deal possible. And people I sort of like. Really! I had the opportunity to speak to all 20 semifinalists over the past four weeks, learning about their struggles and triumphs, their goals for the future, and the sort of unrelenting optimism that has guided them this far. The producers got it wrong when they decided David Hasselhoff was the most important part of their show -- he's a buffoon (you...

It was decision time on America's Got Talent as the great and the simply so-so found out who would head to the semi-finals. As it turns out, the judges -- particularly the iron fist of Piers Morgan -- had quite an influence on how the audience voted at home. Here are the five winning acts who will join last week's top 5 [1] (Acrodunk, Drew Thomas Magic, Kevin Skinner, Grandma Lee and Arcadian Broad), who were already sent through. The Voices of Glory: Since the audition, the trio of young gospel singers has been picked as an act to watch. Their harmonies are as uplifting as their dedications to their mother Felicia who's been sitting in the audience. Sibling rivalry may be brewing with the youngest, Nadia, picked by judges Sharon Osbourne, David Hasselhoff and Morgan as the star while her older brothers Michael and Avery looked on in support. Fab 5: A contender from the beginning,...

The second batch of acts joining the Top 20 of "America's Got Talent" has been announced. The judges picked five sisters who tap dance, three tenors from Texas, a couple who dances, a singing siblings trio, and gave the final vote to a man and his dog.
These people are known as the Fab Five, Texas Tenors of Houston, Paradizo Dance, Voices of Glory, and Tony Hoard and his dog Rory. All having the chance to win the $1 million prize, the five acts were selected on Wednesday, August 12 through the second week elimination round. They will advance to the semi-finals which will be held in September.
The judges had a hard time deciding on who must be the fifth and last act to go through the Top 20. They had to pick between Tony and singer Charles DeWayne. David Hasselhoff landed his choice on Tony while Piers Morgan stuck on Charles. He said,...

(S04E16) Twelve more acts performed last night, and we learned in this America's Got Talent second results show who would join Arcadian Broad, Acrodunk, Drew Thomas Magic, Kevin Skinner, and Grandma Lee in the Top 20. The show also confirmed that it would be returning for another season.
From what I've read on the web, most people thought that Charles DeWayne and the Voices of Glory would move through to the next round without a doubt. As for which acts would get the other three spots, fans could not agree since a lot of the remaining acts gave so-so performances or were too close to call. (S04E15) Before I comment on this week's performances, in case you missed it, I posted the list of the eight wild cards that they judges picked. I feel robbed of talent that should have been given the chance to be part of the now Top 48. I promise you, however, that it's the last time this season you'll have me say that the America's Got Talent judges made oh so wrong decisions, which, based on some of your comments, actually had people stop watching. Now that I know who is part of the Top 48, I've decided to embrace these acts and stop complaining. Otherwise, I'll end up not enjoying the season.
Last week, Arcadian Broad (judges' pick), Acrodunk, Drew Thomas Magic, Kevin Skinner, and Grandma Lee made it to the Top 20 -- I got four out of five right. You? Who will join them this week? My comments, Piers' Xs and predictions coming up!

Checking out last week's article on the first batch of acts to advance on America's Got Talent, I honestly find it hard to believe that among the five, it's septuagenarian comedic act Grandma Lee whom people - or BuddyTV readers at least - will not put through to the talent show's semifinal round. Alongside Grandma Lee, the other four who made it through include Acrodunk, Drew Thomas Magic, Kevin Skinner, and Arcadian Broad.
Surprising, because all the America's Got Talent judges applauded the efforts of Grandma Lee who, despite apparently lacking any new material whatsoever, still managed to make a lot of people laugh if only for her great comic timing. That being said, some critics have pointed out that Grandma Lee will need to come up with new material if she were to sustain a Vegas act, which was the point of the whole show. If you think about it,...

America's Got Talent revealed the first five acts to move to its season 4 semifinals. Some were shoo-ins, expected and arguably well deserved, while others are more prone to debate. Acrodunk, for instance, was a given after the electrifying performance they delivered the night before. Some Agt fans may be a little skeptical at first if they can improve on what they showed during the auditions (what else can they do, really), but they surprised everyone when they combined good music, exciting choreography, and just plain spunk to get the votes.
Also making it to the semifinals were Drew Thomas Magic, Kevin Skinner, Grandma Lee, and Arcadian Broad. This means that some of the acts eliminated include Manuela Horn, Breaksk8, Lake Houston Dance, Mosaic, The Platt Brothers, Thia Megia and the Diva League.

NBC's huge hit "America's Got Talent" saw host Nick Cannon welcome his chanteuse wife Mariah Carey on Wednesday night. Then, Agt welcomed Mariah Carey to the stage to perform her new single .Obsessed,. off her upcoming album. Twelve acts performed on last night's America's Got Talent in hopes of moving on to the finals. Eight acts are being brought back into the competition as wildcards, with two acts performing each week. Here's the rundown from last night's twelve acts:
Breaksk8: Skate danced Michael Jackson tribute/style.
Judges reaction:
Piers: Talented but still don't like the skates
Sharon: Great; loved music selection (Smooth Criminal)
Hoff: Good, don't need the extra girls they had though. Just themselves.
Thia Megia--14 year old singer
Sharon: didn't disappoint
Hoff: she's a shooting star
Piers: Brilliant
my thoughts--seemed a little flat to me!
The Platt Brothers--Acrobatics/comedy
Hoff--one of his favs
Piers--Likes them, but not sure what their focus is
Sharon--agrees with Piers
The Diva League (wildcard act)
Piers "X"---America doesn't need "lip syncing old drag queens that can't dance"
Sharon---fabulous (???!!)
Hoff--agrees with Sharon (??!?)
my thoughts---totally agree with Piers
Manuela Horn--...

You know we've entered exciting new territory when The Hoff ditches his signature critique ("You are what this show is all about!") and opts instead to remind the contestants that this was "opening night," their first truly big moment on the show. Long gone are the endless audition episodes, the hackneyed editing (cry...now!). We've advanced past last week's pointless Vegas stopover with its airport rejections and contestant face-offs. And at least until next season, we're done with watching large groups of people scream "___'s got Talent!!" after a commercial break. High-fives all around, guys -- we made it to Hollywood! Dreams do come true! We can credit our first live broadcast with spicing things up a little bit and (finally!) giving us a more authentic look at a show that until now has played a lot of unnecessary games with its audience And contestants. [brightcoveplayer 31944371001]America's Got Talent aired its first live show Tuesday night and some acts shined brighter than others during the two-hour show. Singer Thia Megia, 14, did not disappoint, according to Sharon Osbourne, who appreciated not seeing her midriff, which she said was "age appropriate," and her "great, great voice." David Hasselhoff called her a "shooting star." Stand-up comedienne Grandma Lee, 75, cracked some jokes about cataracts and open caskets. But she got a little age-inappropriate when she pulled out a pair of Union Jack boxers and said to judge Piers Morgan, "I found this in my room this morning." Then, pulling out a lace-up leather thong, she said, "David, you left this in the limo." The judges ate it up. Stepping up their game, Houston's Acrodunk flipped, twisted and passed the ball while soaring through the air and slam-dunking basket after basket. By not missing a goal, they scored with the audience,...

NBC has released the list of 40 acts that will compete for "America's Got Talent" live on stage. After the two "The Vegas Verdicts" episodes last week, the judges are leaving American audience to vote on who deserve to be in the Top 20, Top 10, Top 5 and eventually the winner.
The Top 40 acts will again be divided into four large groups with the first one begin showing their talents on August 4 starting 9/8c. With the new system, the acts are not given a chance to perform for the second time unless the judges request them so as a challenge.
Unlike in previous seasons, a one-hour result show will be conducted a day after the performance night, on August 5. Mariah Carey and season 2 winner Terry Fator are scheduled to appear on the episode.
