Joshua Dreyfus was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and subsequently moved to Boston, Massachusetts as a child. Josh's first production experience was a CBS movie of the week filming in Boston, as a member of the sound department in 1995. In 2003, after on-again-off-again connections with IATSE Locals 600, 728, and 44, Josh joined IATSE Local 481 in New England and committed himself to set lighting and electric work. Because of the rich crew base and filmmaking tradition in Boston, as well as the progressive incentives legislated in Massachusetts, Josh has continued to work consistently in Boston, traveling away only because he chose to and not because he had to. For non-set lighting /electric work, Josh is represented by Pierre Menard + Company.
