Joel Berti

Joel Berti is an American actor, photographer and acting coach. He is best known for his lead roles in the TV series Fashion House and such notable movies of the week as the Michael Landon Story on CBS and Inside the Osmonds for ABC. Most recently Joel has played the lead roles in numerous Lifetime movies such as the Pom Pom Murders and The Wrong Neighbor as well as Syfy's Arctic Apocalypse and Triassic World.
Joel was born on December 17, 1971 in Avon, Connecticut. Throughout childhood he performed in several school musicals including a Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Music Man, and No No Nanette. The thrill of the audience's laughter during his time on stage, inspired Joel to continue performing.
After a year at Emerson College in Boston, Joel decided to move to Los Angeles to explore his acting career. He booked his first television role within his first year in Los Angles for a Robert Conrad movie of the week, Search and Rescue on NBC. Soon after Joel booked several guest spots on shows such as Friends, Touched by and Angel and Days of our lives. In the mid to late 90s Joel wrote and performed for Acme Sketch Comedy Theatre for 4 years and received accolades for his quick wit and humor. Some of his best roles on stage have been as the leading man Daniel Kaffee in A Few Good Men, Bernard in the comedic farce Boeing Boeing, and most recently in the lead role of the play, Is There Sex After Marriage?, which ran for one year at the Two Roads Theatre.
In 2007 after filming Fashion House in San Diego,CA Joel decided to stay in the sleepy town to delve into other artistic ventures such as writing and photography. He also became an avid surfer, painter and motorcyclist.
In 2016 Joel had the opportunity to work as Lady Gaga's personal acting coach for her debut role on the American Horror Story : Hotel season which she went on to win the Golden Globe for best Actress in a tv miniseries. As well as coaching her for the acclaimed role in A Star is Born.
Joel resides in Studio City, California where he is continuing to expand on his acting career, coaching actors, while also working on writing scripts using his unique voice, perspective and humor.
