Gideon began his career with a Film, Theatre and Philosophy degree from Tel Aviv University. From there, he started working in production and worked his way up as an Assistant Director. He has worked all over the world including locations such as Africa, Eastern Europe, the Far East, Canada and the US. Eventually, he left production to become an executive, taking a position as the SVP in charge of production at Hearst Entertainment. Gideon then became the Head of Production (for movies and miniseries) at Sony Pictures Television.
Gideon left the studio to go back to production and concentrated on producing movies for television for several years. His first series was ABC Studios' 1-Hour Drama Missing starring Ashley Judd, which shot in Prague. From there he has continued to work as a producer on multiple series and pilots.
Most recently he produced the ABC series Resurrection and all four seasons of Devious Maids which he also rotated with two pilots: The Frontier, which shot in Australia for Sony, and Guilt, which shot in Budapest for Lionsgate.
