The Humane star spoke with People about the Brody Renaissance taking place online right now following the release of Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, in which Brody portrays the charming, “hot rabbi,” Noah.

Gilmore Girls fans have spent years arguing over the merits of Rory Gilmore’s boyfriends. They’ve debated whether Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore were really the endgame couple and discussed Emily and Richard Gilmore’s parenting style. While there is plenty to disagree about regarding Gilmore Girls, most fans believe Lane Kim should never have married Zack Van Gerbig. Keiko Agena, the actor who spent seven years playing Lane, doesn’t seem convinced her character is happy with Zack either. In fact, Agena thinks Lane would still be a bit heartbroken over Dave Ryglaski, her high school beau.

Lane Kim might not have been a main character in Gilmore Girls, but she still had several important storylines during the show’s seven-season run. Most were incredibly meaningful and rife with drama and angst. In season 2 of Gilmore Girls, Lane Kim was petrified that her parents were sending her to live in South Korea for good. Ultimately, the rebellious teen was only gone for the summer, as her parents promised. She didn’t need to be anxious at all. As it turns out, she vacationed in a very popular tourist destination. A real-life occurrence even inspired Lane’s trip.
Where did Lane Kim vacation in South Korea?
In season 2 of Gilmore Girls, Lane Kim found herself in an anxiety-inducing situation. Her parents told her that she would spend the summer with distant family members in South Korea. The trip, which came as a shock to Lane, concerned her for several reasons.

Sometimes all we need is a pitcherful of mimosas for life's dilemmas to come clear. And sometimes, as in Fantasy Island Season 2 Episode 6, we need to dig deeper.
The time loop premise is the ultimate do-over scenario, but Oliver is trying to solve the puzzle without all the pieces, just as Elena has been afraid to acknowledge the truth of Helene's situation.
So it's pretty perfect that Dr. Nancy's on hand to diagnose problems and prescribe action plans with push-button efficiency, if not ideal effectiveness.
Oliver and Emilio's relationship is possibly the most understandable rut two people can get into.
The unique element may be that Emilio is dissatisfied enough to pull the plug. Most partners on the receiving end of a gift-wrapped utopian long-term liaison would go along with it.
That's not to say there isn't blame to lay at the feet of both men.

Lane Kim married Zack Van Gerbig during season 6 of Gilmore Girls. They quickly had twins and settled into married life. Their relationship’s progression abruptly ended Lane Kim’s bid to become a rockstar. For years, Gilmore Girls fans have largely disliked Zack, partly because of how Lane’s storyline unfolded and partially because Zack didn’t measure up to Lane’s first love, Dave Rygalski. While Zack and Dave were inherently different people, we think Zack was just as good to Lane as Dave, just in a completely different way.

Gilmore Girls may have been mostly about the Gilmore family, but several other key characters factored heavily into the show. During its seven-season run, the series had a ton of different storylines featuring the main characters and the residents of Stars Hollow. Understandably some aspects of those storylines had to happen off-screen. Three off-screen Gilmore Girls storylines deserved some on-screen action, though.

‘Better Call Saul’ Review: In ‘Black and Blue,’ Everyone Has to Face the Worst Version of Themselves
[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Better Call Saul” Season 6, Episode 5, “Black and Blue.”]
One chair isn’t going to cut it.
Though, to be fair to Kim (Rhea Seehorn), it’s the kind of thing that’s worked in the past for her and Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk). The name changes, the career changes, and the last-second strokes of genius have all been temporary fixes to head off the worst that’s coming their way.
After plenty of moments tracking Jimmy lying awake, unsure of what’s coming next, “Better Call Saul” shows Kim pacing around the living room, hoping that a 2 Am cigarette will do more than the piece of furniture shoved in the door to fend off anyone seeking revenge. Jimmy may be the one who’s already changed his name, but Kim is the one who’s fully processing the fundamental change that his choice to be a “friend of the cartel” is...

Rich Ting (“Warrior”), Darren Barnet (“Never Have I Ever”) and Keiko Agena (“Better Call Saul”) have been tapped to lead the voice cast for the English-language dub of Netflix’s “The Summit of the Gods,” from César award-winning filmmaker Patrick Imbert.
Based on the acclaimed manga by Jirô Taniguchi and the novel by Baku Yumemakura, “The Summit of the Gods” poses the question, “Were George Mallory and his companion Andrew Irvine the first men to scale Everest on June 8th, 1924? Only the little Vestpocket Kodak camera they took with them might reveal the truth.”
“The Summit of the Gods” picks up in Kathmandu, 70 years after Mallory and Irvine’s journey, when a young Japanese reporter named Fukamachi Makoto (Barnet) recognizes the camera in the hands of the mysterious Habu Joji (Ting), an outcast climber believed missing for years. As the plot progresses, Fukamachi enters a world of obsessive mountaineers on...

On the small screen, they were BFFs Rory and Lane, but when the director yelled cut—were they friends? During an appearance on Scott Patterson's I Am All In podcast, Keiko Agena, who famously starred alongside Patterson on Gilmore Girls as Lane Kim, reflected on her dynamic with TV gal pal Alexis Bledel when the cameras were off. "I wish we had more of a friendship," she said, answering a fan question about whether they had a great friendship outside of the show. "That was probably a lot to do with me not making as much of an effort as I should have." But before you jump to conclusions, Agena had a very practical explanation. "I also think I was...

The chances for a third season of the Prodigal Son series got a little slimmer today. HBO Max has opted not to rescue the cancelled Fox series and order a third season.
A crime thriller series, the Prodigal Son TV show stars Tom Payne, Lou Diamond Phillips, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts, Keiko Agena, Bellamy Young, Halston Sage, Michael Sheen, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Season two guest stars include Christian Borle and Michael Potts. In the story, Malcolm Bright (Payne) is an extraordinary criminal psychologist who knows how killers think and how their minds work. In the 1990s, his father, Dr. Martin Whitly (Sheen), was a notorious serial killer called “The Surgeon” who killed at least 23 people. Since murder is "the family business", Malcolm uses his twisted genius for good, to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers. He works...

Keiko Agena still remembers the first time she felt othered as a performer; she was a college freshman trying out for a lead part in a play centered on three English women in the 1800s. Growing up in Hawaii, Agena felt confident and comfortable in a multicultural cast. She didn't think being Asian would limit her ability to embody a character, which is why she felt a "cold shock" when she was omitted from her school's callback list. "It wasn't until that moment that my name wasn't on the board that I realized, 'Oh, perhaps the fact that I'm Japanese American might contribute to their decision of whether or not to cast me,'" she told Popsugar. Agena refrained from auditioning for other parts for the rest of the year, maintaining her drama scholarship by relegating herself to backstage work.

The Prodigal Son family will not return for season three on Fox. Upon hearing of the cancellation, members of the Prodigal Son cast reacted to the news, celebrating their time on the series and each other.
“What a trip. Playing Malcolm has been a joy and a privilege. The best cast on network TV and the most unique show around,” wrote lead actor Tom Payne. We did it in style. Love to everyone who enjoyed it all along with us. And check out the last to eps! They Are Amazing.”
Prodigal Son, produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Can someone start a #SaveProdigalSon campaign, please?
It was only speculation a few days ago as Fox began doling out orders for new shows, but now, our worst fears are coming to fruition.
Prodigal Son has been canceled a week before its second season finale, now the series finale.
Fans of the show know what a mistake this is, but outlets report that the ratings didn't justify a third season.
So, while I'd like to place all of the blame at Fox's feet, ratings do still matter, and waiting for an entire season to air before watching great television doesn't do anybody any favors -- least of all, the shows themselves.
Tom Payne's Malcolm Bright has been just that -- a bright spot on what can feel like a very blase broadcast special these days.

Fox has opted not to renew drama Prodigal Son for a third season. It is unclear yet whether leading studio Warner Bros TV would be shopping the series elsewhere. Sibling streamer HBO Max, which has previous seasons of Prodigal Son, would be a logical destination for the serialized serial killer drama.
Sophomore Prodigal Son, co-produced by Fox Entertainment, was a true bubble show. It was the last Fox drama to get a renewal last year, a move that didn’t come until after the upfronts, and it came down to the wire again for the series. It was liked creatively at the network, and there was a will to try and find a path to bring the series back, with various scenarios explored.
Its linear ratings were pretty modest — Prodigal Son was the lowest-rated among the current Fox drama series — but it has been doing well in digital viewing. The remaining three Fox drama series,...

“Prodigal Son” has been canceled at Fox after two seasons, TheWrap has learned.
The second season finale of the Tom Payne and Michael Sheen-led psychological drama, which will now serve as the series finale, will air next Tuesday.
“Prodigal Son” follows Malcolm Bright (Payne), a criminal profiler with a rare talent for getting inside the minds of killers. He learned how they think because his father, Dr. Martin Whitly (Sheen), was a notorious serial killer known as “The Surgeon.” Malcolm uses his twisted genius to help the NYPD solve their most puzzling murders, while also still sorting out his complicated relationship with his imprisoned father.
Along with Sheen and Payne, “Prodigal Son” starred Bellamy Young, Lou Diamond Phillips, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Halston Sage, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts and Keiko Agena.

Malcolm Bright can unfortunately add “abandonment issues” to his long list of troubles. Fox has cancelled Prodigal Son after two seasons, TVLine has learned, turning the May 18 season finale into a series ender.
Fox declined to comment, but a network insider tells TVLine that the decision to pull the plug on the dramatic thriller was an “incredibly difficult” one, adding, however, that Prodigal Son‘s viewership was just too small to justify bringing it back for a third season.

Prodigal Son’s Malcolm Bright seems to be a magnet for bizarre personal relationships.
There’s the heavy dysfunction with his father, of course, and the often-strained visits with his mother and sister. But the one we’ve found most uncomfortable as of late? His dynamic with NYPD medical examiner Edrisa, who’s had a massive — and massively awkward — crush on Bright since the Fox drama began.

Catherine Zeta-Jones will star as Claremont’s newest psychiatric resident doctor, Dr. Vivian Capshaw, on the forthcoming second season of Fox’s police procedural “Prodigal Son.”
The Academy Award, Tony Award and three-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner will appear regularly in the latter half of the series opposite fellow Welsh native Michael Sheen. When the show’s infamous serial killer Dr. Martin Whitly (Sheen), also known as “The Surgeon,” is assigned to infirmary duty, Zeta-Jones’ Capshaw revels in tasking the charismatic psychopath with tedious, debasing tasks. “An extraordinary talent, Catherine Zeta-Jones is the perfect foil for the brilliant Michael Sheen,” said Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment, Fox Entertainment, in a statement. “I can’t wait to see these two greats go head-to-head in...
