Charlie Sheen isn't exactly quiet about his opinions, for better or for worse. So, what does he think of "The Big Bang Theory?" Not a whole lot!
In a 2013 interview with The Guardian, the troubled nepo baby went off on Chuck Lorre's hit sitcom while simultaneously bragging about his own successes; as he told interviewer Emma Brockes, he thinks that his sitcom "Two and a Half Men," which also had Lorre at the helm, kickstarted the success of "The Big Bang Theory."
"You gotta think about the shows that my show launched. I should have added in a clause that said anything that uses me as a lead-in, cut me in." (In the article, Brockes notes that "The Big Bang Theory" was supposed to run after Sheen's post-"Two and a Half Men" project "Anger Management.") From there, Sheen continued to crap...

Anna Kendrick was the latest guest on “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” as her press tour for Netflix’s “Woman of the Hour” continues, and she told a heartfelt story about what it was like working with a Hollywood A-lister like George Clooney so early in her career. The two actors starred together in Jason Reitman’s acclaimed 2009 drama “Up in the Air” and both earned Oscar nominations for their performances. Kendrick said it was “completely terrifying” to film her first scene with Clooney.
“To other people he is kind of capital G, George, and he works really hard to make you forget that and feel comfortable,” Kendrick said. “The very first shot that he and I did together was my first shot in the movie. We were standing on this people mover, and we’re kind of waiting and the camera is pretty far away and he said,...

"Perhaps were all just playthings in the hands of fate... Alone, cast adrift..." Cartoon Network has debuted a fantastic 3-minute stop motion animated short film tribute to the cult classic animated series Over the Garden Wall. This original series debuted in 2014 and ran only 10 episodes for one season. It has since become a fan favorite and while they haven't ever continued with more episodes, they do recognize the love for it anyway and made this short to honor the fans. And let them know they appreciate their love. Created and animated by the legendary Aardman Animations in the UK this 3-minute short features Wirt, Greg and Beatrice reminiscing about the good ol' days. They got the original three voice actors back for this: Elijah Wood as Wirt, Melanie Lynskey as Beatrice, and Collin Dean as Greg, plus Frank Fairfield as the narrator. All of the little details in the forest are gorgeous,...

"Over the Garden Wall" creator Patrick McHale always considered Aardman to be the pinnacle of animation, and he was always interested in the art of stop-motion. Though he's worked in some highly influential shows like "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack" and "Adventure Time," and he did co-write the script to "Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio," it wasn't until this year that he fulfilled his dream of working in stop-motion — and with Aardman, no less.
Just in time for its 10th anniversary, Cartoon Network released an "Over the Garden Wall" short film from Aardman and McHale, and it's a full circle moment for the animator in more ways than one. As McHale told Inverse, "In some ways, it seems like 'Over the Garden Wall' probably should have been realized in stop-motion all along — it just feels kind of right for that world," and he is absolutely right.

However, her most popular role is arguably her performance as Rose in the hit sitcom Two and a Half Men. Despite impressing viewers and achieving critical acclaim in earlier and later stages of her career, Lynskey could not escape one mean-spirited criticism.

Charlie Sheen was a well-established actor with multiple hits before transitioning to the small screen. His stint with CBS’s Two and a Half Men proved to be another success, and the show ran for multiple seasons before he left it.
Sheen’s role as the womanizer Charlie Harper also gave him a lot of notoriety due to this realistic performance. Throughout the series, Harper got involved with multiple women only some sticking around to be a serious love interest for the fickle character. A Reddit chain struck a heated debate arguing over two of the actor’s most celebrated onscreen girlfriends from the show.

Opposed to Charlie Sheen’s humungous salary in Two and a Half Men, who was racking in millions prior to his firing from the sitcom, Melanie Lynskey on the other hand was reportedly being paid the bare minimum. This would eventually contribute to her exit from the sitcom, as on top of being underpaid, The Last of Us star felt she was also undervalued compared to her peers.

The actress did appreciate the sitcom for giving her financial freedom in the 2000s, which allowed the Yellowjackets star to pursue her passion in the independent landscape.

The Last Of Us has established itself as a fantastic zombie drama that is even better than The Walking Dead in many ways! Here's why.
Debuting in 2023, The Last of Us became an instant sensation. Adapted from the acclaimed video game sereis by Naughty Dog, the show takes place in a world where a deadly plague has killed millions around the world and mutated many more into dangerous feral creatures. Survivors are scattered, with society collapsing into different types of rule with several American cities under ruthless military control.
Joel (Pedro Pascal) is a hardened man making a semi-criminal living when he's hired by the Fireflies, a paramilitary group fighting the oppressive military rule over what's left of civilization. Joel is hired to escort Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a young teen who, for some reason, is immune to the plague and might hold the key to a cure. That takes them...

The third season of “Yellowjackets” is expected to arrive on Paramount+ With Showtime next year, and Deadline reports today that Oscar winner Hilary Swank has joined the cast.
Deadline reports, “The two-time Oscar winner will be a recurring guest star on the upcoming season, which is currently filming in Vancouver. I hear there is an option for her to become a series regular should the hit series get a fourth season.”
The outlet goes on to speculate, “Details about Swank’s character, which will be introduced later in the season, have not been revealed. Ashley Lyle & Bart Nickerson created the hit series, while Jonathan Lisco is the showrunner.

"The Big Bang Theory" was never a critics' darling, to the extent that reviewers were a bit stunned when they found themselves gradually won over by "Young Sheldon," but both series were massive Nielsen ratings hits that managed to attract loads of big-name guest stars. The former earned its nerd bona fides by landing appearances from "Star Trek" legends like Leonard Nimoy and LeVar Burton, while touching television immortality by casting sitcom god Bob Newhart as Professor Proton. As for "Young Sheldon," the producers happily welcomed Newhart back as the TV science host, and also brought on notable talents like Melanie Lynskey, Jason Alexander, and Lance Reddick.
So no matter how you feel about these ultra-mainstream shows, you've got to accept that there is no shame in playing the cameo game within "The Big Bang Theory" universe.

"WandaVision" is considered one of (if not the) best live-action Marvel shows from the Disney+ era, so the spin-off series about Agatha Harkness had some mighty big shoes to fill. The winking witch from Salem, Massachusetts who was ousted by her own coven for using dark magic popped up in the Westview Anomaly created by Wanda "Scarlet Witch" Maximoff over 300 years later, taking on the "nosy neighbor" moniker of Agnes and manipulating the idyllic sitcom-inspired paradise Wanda created to protect herself. Once the Scarlet Witch realized Agnes was Agatha in disguise and she was responsible for all of the chaos, Wanda stripped her of her powers and sentenced her to live out her life as Agnes in Westview indefinitely.
This brings us to "Agatha All Along," a look at what has happened since Agatha was condemned and the death of Wanda Maximoff in "Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness...

The last several years of working on the “Only Murders in the Building” set have been filled with tons of pinch-me moments for Michael Cyril Creighton. But in Season 4 in particular, the actor jokes he’s been “extremely bruised.”
“I’d walk in and I’d be working with Eva Longoria, who I’m a giant fan of; or I’d be watching Eugene Levy do a scene. And then to get to spar with Zach Galifianakis, that wasn’t on my bingo card. I didn’t know that was going to happen, and it is one of my favorite things I’ve done on screen,” the actor told TheWrap. “It’s always surprising and exciting to walk on that set, because you just don’t know what legend you’re going to be acting with that day.”

On Sept. 1, Netflix shared some good news with its subscriber base. It announced that the first season of the popular Showtime horror-thriller series Yellowjackets would be coming to the streaming platform in October. We definitely didn't see this coming, but we couldn't be more excited. Yellowjackets season 1 is slated to land on Netflix on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024.
Recently, we've seen the release of several Showtime series on Netflix. For example, the streamer added the anthology drama series Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, the drama miniseries Patrick Melrose and the legal drama series Your Honor to its platform in May 2024. Then, in June, we saw the addition of all eight seasons of the hit crime drama series Dexter on Netflix. So, it's not totally surprising that the streaming giant decided to acquire the streaming rights to yet another Showtime series.

Andy Muschietti's mega-blockbuster adaptation of "It" kicked off a new boom of Stephen King adaptations when it hit theaters in 2017, but if we were in a boom, is it safe to say we've now hit a bust? There are still tons of new King adaptations coming (I'm excited to see Osgood Perkins' take on "The Monkey" and Bryan Fuller's horned-up "Christine" update), but the massive hits have slowed down (remember "Firestarter?"), and one major adaptation, Warner Bros' "'Salem's Lot," is only now coming out after years of sitting on the shelf.
The works of Stephen King will always continue to be rich and entertaining, whether they're dominating the pop cultural zeitgeist or not. But if one title exemplifies the fickleness of the recent King adaptation boom, it's "Castle Rock," a wonderfully complicated, delightfully mysterious King-adjacent series that unceremoniously died on the vine at Hulu despite delivering two great seasons of television.

Joel McHale has joined the cast of “Yellowjackets” for Season 3 in a guest star role, Showtime announced Tuesday. It’s not yet known who the “Community” alum will play, but it’s far more likely that he’ll appear in the contemporary storyline with Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey and Tawny Cypress than in the 1996 timeframe.
Male characters on the show have not fared so well, so start laying your bets about the odds of McHale making it to the end of the season.
We’re also not clear if his role will be as meaty as Elijah Wood’s, who was an integral part of Season 2 as Citizen Detective Walter Tattersall, or as fleeting as “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” star John Cameron Mitchell, who appeared in just one hallucinogen-induced scene in a single episode.

Griffin Nafly was looking forward to a summer devoted to his playwriting. As the school year ended, the 14-year-old had big plans to continue developing his latest work, Regrets of Autumn, with help from friends. Griffin took his art seriously, dedicating endless hours to perfecting his craft. While his peers focused on more typical teen interests, Griffin’s mind was set on his up-and-coming production.
Set in Griffin’s rural hometown, the film introduces us to his vibrant community. Though it’s a small town, it’s filled with colorful characters like Griffin and his band of creatives. Helping bring his artistic visions to life are his mother Helen and close friend Kara, who serves as director. With their support, Griffin was ready to dive into the work.
However, the summer didn’t go exactly as he planned. When Helen hired handyman Brad to assist with chores, it threw a wrench in Griffin’s process.

Melanie Lynskey, the quirky and unforgettable Rose, seemed to have hit the jackpot with a $200k per episode salary.

However, the reality turned out to be quite different from what many had anticipated. In reality, the actress was earning the lowest salary on the show, and her contractual issues were so severe they could rival even Sheen’s notorious departure.

Two and a Half Men at one point was one of the most popular TV shows on our screen. While Charlie Sheen takes away the most credit for making the show as popular as it is today, there were an ample amount of memorable characters who added to the series’ charm and appeal. Apart from its many male characters, the show also had some memorable female characters who contributed to the show’s clever plot and stood out for their impeccable portrayal.

While Melaine Lynskey’s Rose is a more prominent female character to be featured in the show, another character gets severely overlooked despite her dynamic presence: Kelly Stables’ Melissa.

HBO/Max has released the first official teaser for the second season of The Last of Us, and in addition to featuring some shots that should be very familiar to fans of the second video game, it gives us a first look at several new characters, including Jeffrey Wright as the villainous Isaac and Kaitlyn Dever as Abby Anderson.
We only catch a couple of brief glimpses of the young woman who will go on to become Ellie's (Bella Ramsey) nemesis, but the shots of Abby crawling through the snow while infected attempt to get tear through a chain-link fence suggests that season 2 will stick pretty close to the game when it comes to certain events.
We also see Joel (Pedro Pascal) being asked if he hurt Ellie in season 1 by Catherine O'Hara's (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) mysterious character, to which he tearfully replies, "no... I saved her."
