Gersh has signed actor Ruby Cruz for representation.
Cruz is best known for her performance as the timid outsider Hazel in Emma Seligman’s acclaimed comedy “Bottoms,” also starring Rachel Sennott, Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri, Havana Rose Liu, Kaia Gerber and Nicholas Galitzine. The film follows two unpopular students who start a fight club as a way to sleep with cheerleaders before their graduation.
She also appeared as Jess in the crime drama miniseries “Mare of Easttown” with Kate Winslet, Jean Smart, Sosie Bacon and Cailee Spaeny.
Cruz made history as Disney’s first openly LGBTQ+ princess, Kit Tanthalos, in the Disney+ fantasy series “Willow,” produced by Imagine Entertainment and Lucas Television. Top of the mornin’ to you on this St. Patrick’s Day! To celebrate, we here at Arrow in the Head decided to mark the occasion by going back over the Leprechaun movies and ranking them from worst to first. The Leprechaun Movies Ranked list can be seen below – check it out and let us know how you would rank the movies!
Leprechaun: Origins (2014)
This is appalling. Director Zach Lipovsky, writer Harris Wilkinson, and WWE Studios were given the chance to make a new Leprechaun movie, they cast a professional wrestler (Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl) as the title character, and then they just churned out a dull monster movie. I don’t know how anyone involved thought this was a good idea (“You know what we should do? Take everything people liked about Leprechaun and remove it!”) or how Leprechaun: Origins made it through production. The story follows Americans backpacking through...

It’s been exactly 10 years since Monty Python (minus the late Graham Chapman) began their final run of live shows at London’s O2 Arena, pleasing their legions of fans while also allowing the group to pay off their mounting legal debts — not to mention Terry Jones’ mortgage and John Cleese’s alimony.
The first of 10 total performances occurred on July 1, 2014, and found the group reviving iconic routines like “The Dead Parrot Sketch,” “The Lumberjack Song” and “Argument Clinic.” Monty Python Live (Mostly) also featured some deeper cuts like “Llamas” and “Anne Elk’s Theory on Brontosauruses.”
The initial reviews weren’t exactly raves. The critical consensus seemed to be that it was both undeniably thrilling to see the Pythons performing again, presumably for the last time, yet also kind of sad to see creaky versions of classic sketches mounted by aging comedy legends who were, by their own admission,...

After concluding May with a discussion of Lisa Brühlmann’s female coming-of-age tale Blue My Mind (listen) and kicking off June reevaluating the unfairly maligned third act of Danny Boyle’s Sunshine (listen), we’re…..staying in outer space to marvel at the wacky antics of Lubdan the Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) in Brian Trenchard-Smith‘s 1997 sequel Leprechaun 4: In Space!
In the film, the Leprechaun abducts Princess Zarina (Rebekah Carlton), a member of an alien planet’s royalty, in an attempt to wed her and become her home planet’s new ruler. Unfortunately for him, a platoon of well-armed soldiers, led by Master Sergeant “Metal Head” Hooker (Tim Colceri), arrive to foil his plans. Not easily defeated, however, the feisty Leprechaun bursts out of one of the solider’s penises and continues to battle the soldiers while also contending with the warped scientist Dr. Mittenhand (Guy Siner).

Take a seat my horror hounds, the Leprechaun is making rounds. From grassy knolls and Irish springs- to the streets on a hunt for bling. Okay, I admit that was pretty bad- but in my defense, I haven’t been able to stop talking in rhyme since I watched the year 2000’s Leprechaun in the Hood (watch it Here) which not only is a completely outside of the box film for the franchise, it also, somehow, fits right in with it. The fifth movie in the Leprechaun series, In the Hood takes the wise-cracking and menacing Leprechaun as he once again schemes and murders his way to retrieving his beloved pot of gold. Or in this case- his golden flute.
Fans of this franchise all have our own ranking when it comes to which Leprechaun films are too cheesy, which are not cheesy enough, and which ones are just right.

Set to receive the honorary Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, George Lucas is no stranger to the Croisette. The legendary filmmaker — whose first feature, Thx-1138, screened at Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight in 1971 — brought Willow to the festival in 1988.
Directed by Ron Howard and counting Lucas as a producer, Willow follows the eponymous farmer, played by then-17-year-old Warwick Davis, joining disgraced warrior Madmartigan (Val Kilmer) on a mission to save a baby prophesized to end the reign of an evil queen (Jean Marsh). The movie hit theaters May 20, 1988, and collected $57 million worldwide ($151 million today), which was less than Lucas’ previous hits like Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark. THR’s review called Willow “relentlessly flat” but noted that Howard’s “ever gentle but robust directorial touch is always in evidence.”
Ahead of the movie’s theatrical release, during a Cannes press conference, Lucas criticized the U.

Do you remember the “Willow” show on Disney+? You might not, as it was released and then removed from the service within six months of its release. The show was meant to be a sequel to the 1988 film “Willow,” starring Warwick Davis, but now it’s just gone.
It seems that Disney may have pulled it over the cost of the series and the lack of viewership.
The show cost $156.8 million, which is about $19.6 million per episode! $53 million was spent on the London office of Industrial Light and Magic (Ilm).
Early reports estimated the total to be closer to $100 – $105 million. That is true, but only if you don’t count the money spent at Ilm.
In a new Forbes report, Caroline Reid describes how the show was partially shot in the UK to get some financial credit from their government. However, the film was filed under a shell company called Barking Lion Productions.

Jessica Henwick (“Glass Onion”) and Alisha Weir (“Abigail”) have been tapped for new animated feature “The Land of Sometimes.”
They will join “Star Wars” icon Ewan McGregor and “The Crown” star Helena Bonham Carter on the project, which also features one of the final performances from the late “Monty Python” alum Terry Jones.
A first look of the film, which is repped by Kaleidoscope Film Distribution for global sales, is set to be shown to buyers in Cannes next week with director Leon Joosen (“The Little Mermaid”) on hand to introduce the project.

"Leprechaun" is one of those horror franchises that keeps on keepin' on. It's not very good, and yet, we, the movie-watching public, return to these movies again and again, even as they grow progressively more ridiculous. One recurring element in all of the "Leprechaun" movies is a sense of humor, particularly from the titular Leprechaun, played in the majority of the movies by Warwick Davis. Like Freddy Krueger in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" sequels, the Leprechaun is a jokester; he likes to quip when he's killing.
But as silly as the series has grown, there was a point in time when the original film was going to be much different. Specifically, it was going to be something darker and more horror-forward. Things changed, and a sense of humor prevailed. But imagine an alternate timeline when the first "Leprechaun" movie was a full-blown serious horror picture designed to scare the hell out of you.

Harry Potter is one of the most popular franchises in the world, originally coming to life as a series of children’s novels written by author J.K. Rowling. For years, fans have fantasized about visiting the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the principal setting of the books and their multi-billion dollar grossing film adaptations.
A still from Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows- Part 2
However, one dark fan theory about the franchise proposes the idea that Hogwarts doesn’t really exist, at least not as a safe haven for young wizards. Instead, the fan theory reimagines and recontextualizes the story as an extended metaphor for mental health issues. As a result, the theory forces fans to grapple with the idea that Harry was never really a wizard and Hogwarts is a much darker place than they originally anticipated.

While the Star Wars saga has expanded into a vast universe over the years, including TV series, animation, novels, and comic books, certain films have failed to capture the hearts of fans as effectively as others. "Leprechaun" isn't a very good movie, but it did spawn an entire horror franchise, so that has to count for something. In addition to starring Warwick Davis as the titular demonic figure, the first "Leprechaun" film is perhaps best known for starring a pre-"Friends" Jennifer Aniston, playing one of the unlucky humans who goes up against Davis' horror movie villain. It was Aniston's second film role — her first being an uncredited background performance in the infamous "E.T." knock-off "Mac and Me." "Leprechaun" arrived in 1993, and a year later, "Friends" would help make Aniston a star. But before that, she was just a working actor looking for her big break. Lots of actors get their start in horror movies, so there's surely no shame in Aniston facing off against a killer leprechaun.
As it turns out, the studio that made "Leprechaun" — Trimark Pictures — thought Aniston was perfect for the final girl role they needed,...

Samantha Davis, the wife of Willow star Warwick Davis who appeared alongside her husband in various films and co-founded with him the charity Little People UK for the dwarfism community, died March 24. She was 53.
Her death was announced by Warwick Davis in a statement to BBC yesterday. No cause of death was listed, but her husband said she had been in declining health in recent years. The couple and their children live near Peterborough, England.

It is absolutely wild to think that Robin Williams got passed over for the part of Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter series because he wasn’t British! Now, while David Thewlis undoubtedly did justice to the character, one can’t help but wonder what kind of magic Williams could have brought to the role. Because one can never accept Williams to be a wrong choice for anything! The Harry Potter crew really missed out on something special with that one silly rule.
Robin Williams in Jumanji (1995) Robin Williams Was Denied the Role of Remus Lupin Because He Wasn’t British
Robin Williams, known for his extensive Hollywood career and a string of iconic roles, is often regarded as one of the few actors universally loved in the industry. Many would assume that Williams could land any role he desires.
However, that wasn’t the case when he wanted to enter the Harry Potter series.

The erratic Leprechaun franchise is not known for sticking with a single concept for too long. The namesake (originally played by Warwick Davis) has gone to L.A., Las Vegas, space, and the ‘hood (not once but twice). And after an eleven-year holiday since the Davis era ended, the character received a drastic makeover in a now-unmentionable reboot. The critical failure of said film would have implied it was time to pack away the green top hat and shillelagh, and say goodbye to the nefarious imp. Instead, the Leprechaun series tried its luck again.
The general consensus for the Leprechaun films was never positive, and the darker yet blander Leprechaun: Origins certainly did not sway opinions. Just because the 2014 installment took itself seriously did not mean viewers would. After all, creator Mark Jones conceived a gruesome horror-comedy back in the early nineties, and that format is what was expected of any future ventures.

The eight film Leprechaun horror franchise is about to get a ninth installment, with Lionsgate recently hiring director Felipe Vargas (Milk Teeth) to “reimagine” the franchise.
But what can we expect from this next installment in the long-running saga? Felipe Vargas sat down with Splattercast ahead of St. Patrick’s Day to tease the new movie.
Vargas tells the show, “I’m so honored to be on that project. It’s such a cool franchise. To me what makes the franchise so special is that it really is limitless. It doesn’t need to be grounded. It can just be gory, sexy, crazy.”
“We’re still figuring out that tone,” he continues. “And the balance between horror and comedy. I would love for it to be scary as hell and also hilarious. I think we’re going back to a lot of the roots of Leprechaun in a lot of different ways,...

You can always count on Syfy to program the Leprechaun movies for St. Patrick’s Day, and we’re happy to report that this year is no exception. Syfy will be airing an all-day Leprechaun Franchise Marathon for St. Patrick’s Day once again, taking place on Sunday, March 17!
The good news? They’re showing All 8 Movies throughout the day, including 2018’s Leprechaun Returns. The bad news? As always, the movies are playing out of order.
The Leprechaun franchise kicked off with Mark Jones’s original horror-comedy in 1993, which was followed by five Warwick Davis-starring sequels, a reboot, and later Leprechaun Returns in 2018. Even though Leprechaun Returns was a sequel to the original movie, Linden Porco took over the role of the title character, played by Dylan Postl for Leprechaun Origins.

You remind me of the babe. What babe? The babe with the – woah! If there’s one thing we can’t shake from 1986’s Labyrinth, it’s not the remarkably inventive set design, the memorable characters from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop or the fantastic early performance from Jennifer Connelly. It’s the real scene-stealer and childhood-destroyer from Labyrinth – David Bowie’s junk. And if you thought you couldn’t rid your mind of it, imagine having to keep tabs on its size during filming.
Brian Henson – son of director Jim Henson – recently told ComicBook.com that Bowie’s “codpiece” actually changes sizes throughout the movie, which surely only the most devoted Labyrinth fans would have noticed. “The scene where it’s most prevalent I think, is the scene where David pretends he’s a beggar, and then pulls off the costume and stands up, and it’s the Goblin King.

Forget Wookiees. Ewoks are the best! No one throw blue milk at me, but as much as I love Chewbacca, having Ewoks, led by Wicket (Warwick Davis), as the furry creatures in the climactic battle of "Star Wars: Episode VI -- Return of the Jedi" was perfect. If you were a kid when that film came out, adorable angry teddy bears with spears who maybe eat people were just about perfect. Wicket was the first Ewok audiences got to meet when he ran into Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) on the moon of Endor after she crashes.
The thing that worked so well in that very first scene was how animated Wicket looked. He was a fully-realized character, despite the fact that the face of the costume didn't really move any better than something you'd pick up at Party City. From his bouncy walk as he joins Leia on a fallen...

As a tiny kid when "Star Wars: Episode VI -- Return of the Jedi" came out, I fell in love with Ewoks. As an adult who frequently talks about "Star Wars," I get a lot of crap for the affection I still have for them. Yeah, they were going to be Wookies at one point, and sure, that would have been cool, but there is something so silly and loveable about seeing these tiny little man-eating teddy bears angrily attacking stormtroopers that just warms my heart. Wicket (Warwick Davis), our Ewok protagonist, is the cutest. It was his mannerisms that got me. The moment he plops down next to Leia (Carrie Fisher) when he realizes she has food still makes me giggle every time I watch -- including my viewing for this article five minutes ago.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi." While there have been celebrations on the big screen with a re-release of the sci-fi classic from 1983 and an incredible commemorative poster from pop culture artist Matt Ferguson, there's one little piece of merchandise that may outshine everything. Well, it's little in the grand scheme of the "Star Wars" universe, but when it comes to collectibles, it's hard to get any bigger than this.

Halloween might be the next major holiday on the calendar but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a little luck o’ the Irish. Ahead of Halloween and to mark the occasion of the first Leprechaun movie’s 30th anniversary, director Mark Jones is giving his take not on the horror flick that launched an eight-movie (so far) franchise, but its sequels both good, bad and whatever Origins was going for.

You may not know who Warwick Davis is, but there’s a strong chance you’ve seen at least one of his movies. He’s starred in some of the biggest movie franchises of all time. And he’s been in some B-movie dreck. And he’s been the star of a recent streaming reboot. In each case, his career mirrors the various tiers of content, and the inherent problems for each of them in the streaming landscape.
Tier 1: 4-Star IP on One Platform
Davis’ breakout role was as the lovable Ewok Wicket in 1983’s “Return of the Jedi.” As part of the Star Wars franchise, the movie remains safely locked within the gates of Disney+. Although the film does air on broadcast TV from time to time, we expect it will never appear on another streaming platform.
Most streaming platforms have at least a handful of standout titles they will likely never share.

Warwick Davis is the face of the “Willow” franchise, which kicked off in 1988 with Ron Howard’s fantasy film and continued with the short-lived Disney+ sequel series in 2022. Disney canceled the television series after only one eight-episode season, and then it pulled the show off of Disney+ entirely for cost-cutting measures. Davis is now calling out Disney on X (formerly Twitter), asking the studio in a recent post to answer the many fans wondering why they can no longer watch the show via streaming.
“I meet lovely people on a daily basis who are fans of ‘Willow,’ who are the reason the Disney+ series was made,” Davis posted. “Please tell me [Walt Disney Company], what do I say to these subscribers when they ask why they can’t watch the series any more? #embarrassing.”

Willow star Warwick Davis is not happy about the removal of the Disney+ fantasy-adventure series from the streaming platform, calling it “#embarrassing”.

The streamer announced in March that there would be no second season of the original series, based on the 1988 fantasy film directed by Ron Howard. However, series creator Jon Kasdan later categorized Willow‘s status as more of a pause than cancellation, noting that Season 2 has been written and he is hopeful that it will eventually be made, but not for at least the next 12 months, leading to a decision to release the cast.

However, series creator Jon Kasdan later categorized Willow‘s status as more of a pause than cancellation, noting that Season 2 has been written and he is hopeful that it will eventually be made, but not for at least the next 12 months, leading to a decision to release the cast.

Warwick Davis has a question for Disney, and they probably aren’t going to like it.
On Saturday, the “Willow” star tweeted, “I meet lovely people on a daily basis who are fans of #Willow, who are the reason the @DisneyPlus Series was made. Please tell me @WaltDisneyCo, what do I say to these subscribers when they ask why they can’t watch the series anymore? #embarrassing.”
Disney removed the original series from its streaming service Disney+ in May, only six months after the show began airing. The decision left the sequel to the 1988 movie effectively homeless, and a legion of subscribers disappointed.
