Although no movie was ever made, it was the first sign that they were both willing to mend their rift. It would take another two years to fully mend their rift, when in 2015, Alyssa tweeted to Doherty (who was battling breast cancer): "Sending you love, light, and strength". In October 2016, Alyssa said that she continues to tweet or direct message Shannen once a week offering words of support and encouragement, and in turn, Shannen has been appreciative.
- Caused a commotion with her television father, Tony Danza, when she posed nude in the 1993 pages of Bikini magazine. "I worried about her, but it wasn't my place to say anything," explains Danza. "I played her father, but I wasn't her father.". Alyssa answered to the press that she already had an Italian father at home, and that she didn't need another one.
