Demo Reel
Thanks for watching.
Most of the sets you see in "Shoot the Saxophone Player" were build on a soundstage.
In "Tentacle 8", each location had to stand for multiple places.
We spoke with several homeless people living out of their vehicles in order to set up the "Golden State" van as realistically as possible. The bathroom featured in the film used to be blue. We wallpapered only the sections that would be seen, then removed it all after the shoot.
In "The Legend of Tiffany Blaze", I had less than $200 to cover up more than 100 feet of mirrors, so we used foam insulation panels on one side of the room and made screens of paper and wood to create a Mondrian-like design for the other side.
For "A Day in Eden", we even painted the cello case to match our very controlled color palette.
The following three films, "Standard Drop", "Days of Wine and Roses" and "Lil' John" also feature sets built on a soundstage.
The last set was a forced perspective set, with one set seen through a hole on the set closest to the camera to make one actor appear to be three inches tall. The two actors are interacting in real time, although they are 75 feet apart.
Hope you enjoyed it. :)
