Synopsis:
Boston, the present. Mia LeBlanc, a recent Boston College Computer Science graduate, accepts a new job at Bayfront Computer Networks (BCN), in the Financial District of downtown Boston. She mentions to her manager Tim Snakeman that she developed a new database program, with innovatively new technology at its core. He responds with interest, and asks if she's shared her work with anyone else. Hearing 'no', Tim offers to review it. He does much more than that, stealing her program by claiming it as his own work.
Before long, Mia's friend Clayton Barstow calls after his prison release. Clay's attempt to alter his mother's health-insurance records - to secure more extensive treatment for her illness - failed completely when he was caught doing so. They soon enjoy take out food while getting caught up. Clay proposes that with the help of his buddy Remy Gonzalez, they can avenge her loss by looting BCN's financial systems.
Mia and 'Rem' hit it off immediately: their Anglo-Latino romance blossoms as quickly as their embezzlement plans do. Before long and amidst a wild, celebratory night in Boston, the 'make it or break it' theft of their lives occurs. The next morning finds them departing Logan International Airport, aboard their escape flight to Madrid.
