Four Rooms
4 April 2006
This movie is undoubtedly one of the funniest movies that came out that decade. Nothing sits in my mind better then the scene where Tim Roth holds the leg of the corpse in the torched room with the children smoking and drinking and with Antonio Banderas walking back in through the door. Sheesh, never forget the first time i saw that, i laughed and rewound it about 20 times. I think in summary this movie is a level above most comedies its a bit black, but look at the cast, Bruce Willis, Tim Roth and Madonna - with all the other glitz and glamour of Hollywood appearing at different periods. It's a special movie and deserves a ten every time. I hope you all get this one for the DVD collection.

The Terminal (2004)
10/10
Great Film - worth every mark of the 10 i gave it.

The most important thing about this movie that everyone must remember is that Victor Navorski lived in an airport for 9 months and had no country to call home. I was so fond of the way that Tom Hanks presented the character of Victor to me, that i had to watch it again with my father. (My father is a major critic of films made in the west and let me just say hated 'Forrest Gump') but even he could not place Hanks in the movie until i told him at the end. 'The Terminal', i find is relaxing and romantically funny for no reason more then Hanks performance (oh, lets not forget the really hot leading Lady of 'Zeta Jones') the move is dark in places but the darkness is entertaining as we discover more about Victors daily habits. I think without noticing some basic errors in plot and scenes the movie is delightful and a must for DVD collections everywhere. 10 point rating for this...

Yeah, it's part 2 of Pitch Black but so much more.

This film is excellent from beginning to end, disregard the corny script much the same as Starwars - can we all please learn that Vin Disel playing the title role as an action super hero, will always work. He is cool enough to be funny and funny enough to be dramatic, the movie encompasses a wide range of ideas but the most fascinating is the imagery of landing on Crematoria with six bounty hunters holding 'Vin' at gun point. I honestly fell for this movie, i think it had more to do with the action sequences then the special effects. I have to easily say for the critics that don't like comics don't expect anything more then a high tech version of toxic avenger. For all those that do like comics however and get into that Sci Fi stuff, This movie touches a little upon the original - 'Pitch Black' (not for long, lucky for us) and moves on to those incredible all seeing eyes of Riddick. A must see... (Double Entandre)

Above the Rim (1994)
10/10
Great Visuals - {Mad Sound Track}
27 March 2006
The film, Above The Rim is no Star Wars, It's just a darker version of "White Men Can't Jump" with more creativity on the well developed basketball dribbling and dunks visuals. It's a must see for any sport/rap fan with the best soundtrack - thanks to Tupac Actor/Rapper dropping monster rhymes. The plot is a little light, but can't we all understand that we are not watching this movie for the plot but for the action. The basketball and music culture of America is superbly linked into the grim, street culture of the ghetto. The subtle use of basketball as a view into the street culture of America, is unique and original to this movie. This movies is a must for all DVD collections and deserves a 10. Thank You.
