Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949)
Price had two roles
Guinness is noted for playing eight roles in this film. But nowhere is it mentioned that Dennis Price played two roles. Can you guess his second role? The answer can be found at the film's beginning where Price plays his character's own father. Clearly seen In close up when singing.
Je plaide non coupable (1956)
Amusing Cornball Tripe
Although made in the mid fifties, it has the appearance of being made in the mid 30s. And then there's the contrived action sequences, reminiscent of a 1940's Republic Films Superman or Johnny Mack Brown serial for kids. Lotsa laughs. One is led to believe that if the male lead should unexpectedly visit one of those Parisian street toilets, three thugs would be waitlng inside ready to pounce on him. They should have had Graham Moffatt, Charlie Chan or Buster Keaton put in an appearance to round it all out. For anyone thinking of getting into the film business, this film should be an inspiration that anyone can write a script, act or direct. What a load of Tripe,...Glorious Tripe !
The Lady Vanishes (1979)
Character based on....
Anyone familiar with the life story of the former Hollywood actress and much married wealthy heiress blonde beauty Virginia Cherrill, and her back story will soon realise that Cybill Shepherd's character is based on her. They even look like twin sisters. Shepherd makes numerous references to facts from Cherrill's life, third marriage and even the family name that Shepherd uses is exactly that from Cherrill's third marriage, (though it's used only once in the film and not listed in the character list).
