2 Hours + 13 Minutes of strung together Sci-fi clichés
31 December 2023
There was a lot of potential here. As other have noted, it's visually well done but the material is meh and unoriginal. Every element is recognizable from another well known movie, tv show, or book.

Also: someone should really explain to Zack Snyder that slow motion is meant to be used for dramatic effect, not for the beginning of every single motion of every single character in every single action scene. The constant use of slo-mo into normal speed for each action movement oooooover and oooooover and ooooover again makes this almost unwatchable. It probably extends the movie 15 minutes.

The acting isn't terrible but the actors are not served with a smart script or smart editing. I went in with an open mind and can usually find something to appreciate to some degree in most sci fi. Passable for a watch through but not a rewatch and I won't be waiting on the edge of my seat waiting for part 2.

Incompetent Police Chief
16 December 2023
Sort of interesting story, decent acting and dubbing. The police chief's incompetence is half the reason there is anything at all to solve on the show. Her character makes so many bad decisions and and then is told "it's not your fault" over and over. The prosecutor is better at his job but his "charming" quirkiness gets old.

I do enjoy the storyline between Nounours and Paul, but the expectation that Paul is just going to immediately drop everything in his hetero lift and declare his love for Nounours is a bit unreasonable.

In my opinion, the best character & moment in the whole 1st season is when the old lady appears in the window with the shotgun...I won't spoil with what happens but it was great!

Snack recreation is fun, the hosts make it bordeline unwwatchable
3 December 2022
The food geek in my likes watching the contestants try to recreate some fun snacks and then come up with their own imaginative version. I appreciate that they have a mix of chefs and food scientists in the mix, that makes it a bit different from most cooking competition shows. However, the hosts are simply awful. And let's be honest, they usually detract, not add, to shows like this. In this case, they may keep me from getting through an otherwise interesting series. The forced laughter throughout from everyone is also pretty painful. The contestants themselves are a mixed bag... easy to pick out the ones that are full of it. We'll see how many episodes I'll be able to watch.

Tedious monologues, pretty predictable, decent story and good cast
4 October 2021
The "twist" is obvious at the beginning if you're paying attention. The overall story is good but the constant self-righteous monologing is simply unbearable. I appreciated the efforts of the cast, the characters seemed genuine enough. But the whole thing starts to seriously unwind in the last couple of episodes, leaving a bit of a sour taste in the mouth.

Points for creativity but...
20 July 2021
Not a fan of most of the shows they imitated, so not appreciative of applying their cheeseball-factor to the Marvel universe. The first 3 episodes are basically throw away... or the point could at least have been made in 1. Kat Dennings's character was the best add overall from other storylines, in my opinion.

The whole thing gets tedious around episode 7 and ultimately, the story didn't pay out for me... on to Loki!

Huh? What a waste of talent
3 July 2021
Such a great cast... but what was the story? Who was I rooting for? Why was Matt Damon's character so out of character with the rest of the movie? Not interesting enough to hold my attention to attempt answering any of those questions. Too bad.

Season 1 was an 8, Season 2 is, well, a 2.
26 June 2021
Really enjoyed the 1st season and how the characters' stories were woven together. Was definitely looking forward to season 2. Now, 4 episodes in, I still don't know who I'm watching, why they're fighting, which timeline we're in, and who I should care about (or why)...other than the season 1 characters (need more Spears!) and even Rose's actions early on made her decidedly less likable. Random characters shooting random characters at a house, rinse & repeat. Pushing to get through the season, hopefully Netflix budgeted for them to have a few episodes somewhere other than this confusing snoozefest of a house.

100% Ego, 0% Inspirational/ Informational/ Interesting

This guy clearly can't get enough of himself....shot after shot of him working out, posing, talking about how amazing he is at everything. If anyone else speaks, it's usually about how amazing he is. Good for him for having enough money and time to hire a bunch of trainers to help him power through that much weight loss in 9 months. Just don't expect him to impart any meaningful training or dietary info to help you on your own fitness journey. Wife needs help with the kids? Nope, gotta hit the gym and take more video of myself working out. If you're up for watching 90 minutes of self indulgent instagram posts strung together into a "documentary," then this is for you.

Super predictable + mediocre acting = Meh
6 May 2019
I've been watching this show since it started and have been hoping for it to get better since it started. Now it's just the thing that I watch when I'm bored and have gone through everything else on my DVR. You can predict the ending about 5-10 minutes into every episode. Bull is not a far cry from Tony Dinozzo, same guy, different profession. I like Freddy Rodriguez's Benny... but Cable was the only other likable character. Marissa is the worst - I literally fast forward during her character building scenes. The rest are just tolerable and give me the chance to multitask while the show is on.
