La decima vittima (1965)
Nothing Special
While story idea may have had it's merits, the movie itself can be described in 1 word: boring. I don't mind older cinema, so it's not a negative that the gunfights are extremely campy. I just didn't like the story telling. Example, opening credits show a man chasing a woman trying to shoot her - she taunts him and runs and he can hit her with any of the 20 or so shots he takes, all while it cuts back and forth to a third character explaining the idea of hunter/victim in this new future. Within 10 minutes of the film, all three characters are left behind never to be seen or mentioned again and two more characters are introduced to be the main focus of the story. There's only a few characters who appear in more than a scene or two outside the two main leads.
Overall, the story moves slowly and predictably. Having to read subtitles, I could leave the story for 5 to 10 minutes and not even feel like I missed anything important when I came back. Just not my cup of tea.
Stewardess School (1986)
Standard 80's Comedy
Fun, over the top comedy of two guys thrown out of flight school, so they join stewardess school. It's pretty cliche on it's 80's comedy tropes, the blind guy with glasses, the clutz, the over sexualized stripper, the strong but sexy female and more. It's basically a clone of such comedies as Revenge of the Nerds and Police Academy. And though not as good as those two movies, it's still fairly entertaining and some of the jokes/scenes are genuinely funny.
It's mostly harmless, but there are a lot of sex jokes and some fairly long nudity scenes (breasts only). It was like a mandatory element of these movies in the 80s that if there was nudity it had to be in the shower at least once.
Overall, I'd watch it again.
Fun and Games (1971)
Probably Better than My Score.
I enjoyed the movie overall, except one thing, Hay's laugh. It was so forced and so 70s in it sound that it grated on the nerves by the time the movie was half over. Otherwise, I didn't have too many issues with the story, the acting was generally 70 camp - and I didn't have an issue with it. Hay plays the seductress well enough, and she shows skin in several scenes it isn't over the top and most of the sex is offscreen and what is onscreen is typical show nothing.
Overall, the movie holds together on its premise, but I just couldn't abide the horrendous laugh that seems to permeate the movie with no real reason most of the time.
