Atrangi Re (2021)
Bad take
With spoilers:
Well! While watching the movie, my heart cried for the fact as knowing mental health patient close and personal and also as having been suffering from PMDD myself from many years, I was sad, hurt and angry that how mental health issue is portrayed so poorly in mainstream Bollywood movie and if we have psychiatrists like that, well certainly patients and their families are doomed. Felt like taking action against movie makers on behalf of psychiatrist community. Funny part is while watching I was certain that there is a twist and said illness is with Dhanush and not Sara.
I had watched 'Kumbalangi nights' a day before I watched 'Atrangi re'. It takes few seconds in Kumbalangi nights for Bobby and Baby's lovestory to start but it showed so beautifully that we start rooting for them from the go. While in atrangi re you are never convinced why exactly Dhanush fall for Sara so much that he was ready to jeopardize his whole life. We are never convinced about them and so it is hard to root for them. Point being after a long time I was watching Bollywood movie with some hopes, but it as usual disappointed.
Tribhanga (2021)
Baffled
10 minutes into it and stopped watching it. Never going back to it. Which woman swears like this in front her grown up daughter? What exactly you trying to teach the next generation??
Kedarnath (2018)
It is not so bad!
Good acting by both Sushant and Sara. I wish they had focused on one theme, either love story or the Kedarnath tragedy. Combining both somehow diluted the emotion. That being said, I really enjoyed watching the movie.
