The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)
Iconic.
An absolute all time favourite, full of twists and turns that leave you on edge, well placed jump scares and an inviting plot line.
Willkommen bei den Hartmanns (2016)
Skip at all costs.
This movie is an insult to germany, to refugees, and to thinking breathing people everywhere. The characters are poorly written and one dimensional, the plot is abhorent, and the "message" they are trying to get across is absolutely lost in the 10000s of ways they go against it throughout the film
The only reason this isnt a 0/10 is one good joke and the entirty of the Doctor/Boyfriend character.
The Midnight Gospel (2020)
An expirence
This show is more of a podcast with an animation element but there is a small out of cast story that really carries through and gives it a finished feeling. Its absolutely gorgeously done as far as the animation goes and the podcast-esque dialogue is insightful emotional and devastating. It is definitely worth the watch .
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
A truly wonderful trilogy.
Keeping the same energy as the first two movies, John Wick 3 was well written, and exciting. The absurdity of this reality is so all absorbing I wasn't sure if I should be laughing, or hiding my eyes. Completely engaging the whole time, its a perfect movie to unwind and end a long week with.
One things for sure though, in this movie? Glass doesn't stand a chance.
The Sixth Sense (1999)
A cult classic that stands the tests of time.
Even if you know about this movie's iconic and decade defining twist. This piece is still deeply compelling, well shot, and perfectly acted. All in all, an almost perfect movie with just the right balance of sadness, horror, and all encompassing love of a broken family.
The Conjuring (2013)
Perfection
Without a doubt the most perfect horror movie of all time. Well acted, well written, and well paced it relies heavily on a "less is more approach" that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Seriously scary.
The Ritual (2017)
Better than most, but still not good.
Honestly, better than most horror movies out there, a nice balance of suspense and edge and enough action to keep you interested without overloading you. Ending is sort of eh, but all in all an amazing commentary on guilt and friendship
Mr. Right (2015)
Honestly surprising.
I went into this expecting it to be a very mindless and laid back romcom. I was however; pleasantly surprised. Its quick paced, hillarious, well rounded and all around great. Highly recommended if you need a good laugh.
