You gonna cry! Trust me!

Of course there r millions of films making u cry at least just a lil bit, even by joy or positive emotions (Avengers Endgame for example between so many) or cry with laughter.
This list isn't concerned by those.
Only very moving movies will figure in it. Movies making u unable not to cry, apart maybe if u have a real stone or ice heart; and not even sure in these cases.

Watched on Disney + or Netflix or Amazon Prime

Of course, some of the movies or series I watched on them, I saw them before in theatre and/or TV, DVD, as they are buying thousand of movies and series added to their own original productions, and of course, most of their movies and series were existing before the platforms.
Another thing.
There won't be much Disney classic nor Marvel, nor Pixar, nor Star Wars, nor Disney live action remakes in this list, cause I own almost all of them on DVD/BR.
Many of the movies watched on Disney + or Netflix or Prime Video, I had them on DVD/BR/VHS... before my house burnt at 100% 1 year and a half ago.
Here's a list of movies to avoid when ur house burned.
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls049099772/
I had 1600 movies in my collection.
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls040931027/
Since that, I bought a lot of them back, and of course as well new movies, or some I hadn't, and I have already maybe 1200 again now.
Top 5...7: Bruce Willis

Of course, for some suspense, I keep the best for last, so, the n°1 position isn't my n°1 but my n°5.

Movies to avoid when your house just burned down (like it happened to me 1 month ago)

The ones I put in the list... and millions other.
Of course you can see a man, a car or a house in soooo many films, so, I just tried to select some where fire is the most important thing, at the center of it, or movies known at least for a cult fire scene; also I add the ones with a memorable flamethrower scene.
As usual for my lists, I use only my memory, I don't cheat by searching titles containing the word fire or any other word.
I think to a movie, then I put its title in the searching window.
EDIT: Finally, each time I (re)see a house burning in a movie, it of course remembers me when I woke up in the middle of a giant fire in mine, so, I add the movie in the list, even if it's just for a short scene; but when it's a car or something else, it's different, so, I don't put them in the list.
The best of documentaries!

Jails, prisons, camps... wherever, but people are prisoners
135 titles |
Public
Well, I'll put of course mainly movies happening entirely (or almost) in prison, but also movies where the jail has a crucial importance, even if the jail scenes represent only a small part of the movie, and/or where the prison in question is really crazy, original.
For exemple in The Chronicles of Riddick, where prisoners enter by the rooftop, have mortal alien dogs to watch after them, and where the entire planet is a prison also, or in Guardians of the Galaxy, where the jail is at the origin of their crew of superheroes, and where they face many kind of aliens, technologies, and where we see some great scenes of escape.
To conclude, hostages are of course prisoners, but I keep them for another list.
RemakeS

Public
In order to shorten the list, won't put all the sequels of the remakes.
Also, when u have a new Batman, Punisher, Fantastic Four or another movie from a comic book, it's not a remake but a new adaptation of the eponym comics.
Also, won't put any Dracula, Frankenstein, 4 Musketeers nor Heidi... movie, cause they are new adaptations of famous books, not remakes of the previous movies.
Same for Robin Hood, King Arthur... and many other historical or mythological characters.
In other cases, it's different.
For exemple, Mulan is a chinese old story, and there have been an excellent chinese movie in 2009, but of course it's not a remake of the Disney classic of 1998... but the 2020 Disney will be a live adaptation of their own version of this story, so, it's a remake of the 1998 classic.
Same for Jungle Book, Dumbo... all from books and adapted many times, but those live versions of Disney are remakes of their movies, more than new adaptations of the books.
You have also the cases of video games adaptation. The new Tomb Raider or the next Resident Evil or Far Cry movies aren't remakes of the previous movies but new adaptations of the eponym video game series.
