A film about hating men

Yeah, you can like the storytelling and the actresses and all. But In the end the whole film is about hating men at all costs.

I was 17 when it came out watching that. Backe then boys and girls were talking and meeting with each other, they do not do that anymore. Thanks to movies like this one It is a movie that leads us directly into the desaster of today between men and women.

The part where the women kill the man (and serve them to be eaten by other men) is getting closer every day.

Sorry, but this is disgusting material hidden under accent and decently beautiful actors.

One definitely cannot recommend this, think about it.

Watching it today, this seems to be a highely influencial thriller, since it makes the reactions to SARS-Covid more understandable. No, I won´t comment on the basis of comparison..! The political reactions are comparable nevertheless.

The big talent of Helene Zengel in this movie is, in a role full of Hate, Violence, Shouting and Denial to be and stay a little girl on screen that wants to be loved and is lovable. You simply cannot get out of this movie, it is like magic.

Cooper shines in a movie with ridiculous male/demale separations

As one of the millions of unsuccessful writers myself (sic!) I was pleasantly surprised by the rare topic of a Hollywood-movie.

Especially the part of Brandon Cooper was brilliantly played out and he carries the whole film pretty much alone.

For the downsize: it is so not convincing that two young, loving humans in after-war Paris separate in this way over a sick child. They could just make another one! Or ten! Problem solved. This over-hyped individualism of todays western culture really bothers me here.

It destroys the plot also.

Furthermore, the second split-up of the movie is totally messed up as well. He confeeses to her, while SHE started the whole thing in the first place when she read on his laptop and forced him to go to a publisher with it...!...and then she divorces him over THAT? What a bunch of NONSENSE!

The western mainstream-movie industry should stop to peomote a view on life where nobody can have a partner! Furthermore, what happened to forgiveness in the first place?

My father took me to a movie once. Once in a lifetime. It was this one. I was full of this adorable music afterwards and was whistling Cheyenne´s theme for weeks. This is great cinema, maybe really the greatest ever.

The story is too simple, good actors are wasted. I can imagine that stuff like this happens in Austrian mountain villages a lot, but that does not say it is good for a movie. In this case it is not.

A movie predicting and instigating the hugh riots of today

This movie predicts the hugh rioting of today. It also tries to explain them. It also clearly instigates for them, ACAB could have been the subtitle for this. I don´t like that BUT everyone has to admit, this picture does portray important issues, arguments, groups and contributors in the process, which is a big accomplishment. Lastly, the performances of McDormant and Roswell are outstanding, no question; BUT they should never been given an Oscar for this subversive scenery in a still functioning society, i.e. Academy.

I am totally disappointed. Given the good quality books of Kling it is hard to imagine that anyone could produce a worse movie than this. 25 years ago, the Berlin dialogues would at least be kind of original, today it is full old cliché and this world is obviously long gone as well. What is even worse, the movie has not one likeable character in it. Always a very bad sign. Avoid.

It is true that too much violence can soften the effect. But this is not the case here. It was a shocking and fascinating cinematic experience. I love the work of Wojciech Smarzowski. Nobody else does this kind of filming around here. And the MOST shocking thing for me personally, coming from an academic household that is specifically proud of his high education: I did NOT know anything about this at all..! None of my friends knew anything about this before I told them! Poles are still looked down on in this class, and not talked about. As were the Ukrainians by the Poles back then. Please watch and spread it whereever you can.

I enjoyed the movie, not bad, suspenseful. Beautiful city pictures. The obvious tendency to prostitution and the desperate try to sell some tickets because JLaw did it, was embarassing to me and not at all sexy. In my view, this actress has had her role in life as Tiffany Maxwell in the Silver Linings Playbook. It cannot get any better. She cannot get casted or met or play(?) any better.

Jennifer Lawrence has limited acting capabilities. Her face is just too stiff. BUT having said that, this movie summarizes all the best she can do in one. It is so hard NOT to love and feel for her at the end of the movie. So that Oscar is actually well deserved, but she will never get another one, or be of such value in any other movie. It is THIS ONE role that does it (with great supporting cast).

As a former Queen-Fan I liked the music, but the movie is really bad. And Rami Malek is miscast, Freddie was so much more of everything. Little jokes here and there like in a TV series. Horrible.

A pretty silly romantic comedy, but I could not stop smiling.... and everyone just try to get your eyes off Diane Krüger in this one. This is a cinematic experience how I guess it used to be before Computers took over. Highly recommended.

Leah Remini. What a fun to watch her. Love it. Kevin James is just the ordinary us-dumb-guy we have to live with. Hard to compromise with stupid, but she rocks the show anyhow. Mr.Stiller has obviously credits for this show to be made, credits where credits are due. I heard, Remini has also left this religious cult, good for her.
