Hokey but not terrible.

There's a lot of fun little Easter eggs for film buffs in this and the story is interesting but it's definitely ridiculous. The acting is just over the top enough to make the movie laughable, the dialogue didn't help that fact, and the pacing is bizarre. I expected something with a few good scares at least but as a Wan fan I'm disappointed.

Important.

Warning: Spoilers
Crisis pregnancy centers purposely set up near women's health clinics in order to fool women. Their workers pretend to work for the actual clinic and fool women into coming into their center and try to guilt women into keeping unwanted pregnancies. I'm very happy this show decided to feature this because it's a very real issue that women go through. Shame on the liars in these reviews defending them.

I don't get all the hate.

This show is sarcastic and dry, it's not meant to be a laugh out loud comedy so I'm not sure what people were expecting. It's a cute story, clever and enjoyable. The characters are very LA, very narcissistic so you really have to laugh at their absurdity, but I guess some people don't get that. I do and I think it's great. A fun show to binge.

Short film with a big message.

Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand the hate for this short documentary. Maybe those people have never been made to feel ashamed about a normal bodily function. Maybe they have something against women making a living. Maybe they have something against educating people on what struggles women go through in other countries simply for being a woman. Who can say? I think they missed the point. It's a very moving, frustrating and joyful piece about women taking charge of themselves and not being held back by lack of sanitary pads. Women are embarrassed to buy pads. They have to wear cloth that is ineffective and can even prevent them from getting an education due to the inability to change them when they become too soiled to wear. This is real life and I'm glad I watched this doc. It reminds me that yes, we have it great in the US, but the world needs to catch up and allow women to not be ashamed of themselves.

Really not as bad as most think.

Seriously, if you like weird, slapstick humor, know anything about Sherlock Holmes and the late 19th century, you'll laugh more than a handful of times. Yes, there are dumb parts, granted, but some scenes had me rolling. It's enjoyable. If you don't want to go to the theater, rent it later.
