Dead to Me (2019)
Good premise, but....
Started watching this series and may finish it one day. Three episodes in and much of the American-style dialogue permeates the script. Why do producers/directors/writers think that a show's humour or credibility is directly proportional to the number of "F-bombs" it injects? Okay, given the characters, the odd one here or there is accepted, but this shows seems to rely on them from beginning to end. Juvenile and distracting.
A Touch of Cloth (2012)
Dissappointing
I expected more from these two. Vexed and Fallet are far better
Filinta (2014)
Better than most, but.....
Basically, Murdoch goes to Istanbul but with fewer forensics and a LOT more "acupuncture."
The first season is an entertaining romp, but season 2 is starting to "lose it." Reminds me of how much fun the first Pirates of the Caribbean was, but then the franchise started to get mired down in cliches and poor plot development.
This group of assassins they created, training with Greco-Roman weapons and funky haircuts, looks too much like Conan the Barbarian or a B-grade video game.
We are fast-forwarding episodes now in Netflix, something we never did in Season 1. Not sure if season 2 can keep my interest through another 70 episodes.
My rating is for Season 1 only.
