The Divide (2018)
Old fashion values.
If you are wanting a movie with lots of action and shootouts then this one definitely isn't for you. It's a thinking persons movie that tastefully deals with several issues such as Alzheimer, reconciliation and suicide. It's a bit of a slow burn but just enough pace to keep a thinker interested.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Just sit back and enjoy it.
Despite the long winded complaints of so many, I thoroughly enjoyed the way they brought it to a close. There has been and will be many more who don't enjoy the movie, but like all things in life you can't please everyone. My suggestion is ignore all the bad reviews and enjoy this for what it is and that's fictional entertainment.
Adopt a Highway (2019)
Patience is a virtue
There is nothing flash or fast paced about this movie, just good story telling in the form of acting. I really enjoy a movie that doesn't bombard you with over the top acting or cgi and this one delivers on that score, it's a refreshing break from the mind numbing run of the mill so many put out as entertainment in this day and age.
Ad Astra (2019)
If you want action it's not for you.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started watching. It's not a movie for the brain dead masses or those who get bored easily. It's a slow burn that keeps you thinking if you know how, so don't sit down to watch and expect lots of over the top action and unrealistic explosions.
Leave No Trace (2018)
A thought provoking watch
If you like movies with lots of action and over the top special effects then Don't watch this movie. If however you love a movie without the usual hollywood crap then this is the one for you. Yes it's a slowed paced movie and many won't get it but it deals with PTSD in a sensitive and sensible way, not all PTSD sufferers destroy themselves with drugs or go postal and take out innocents many become reclusive and take themselves away from society and that's what this beautiful movie deals with.
The Yellow Birds (2017)
Very thought provoking
Okay so there are military technical errors throughout the movie, just deal with it. The story itself is a nice change from your usual take on this war it attempts to show the human side of things and for my money succeeds. I enjoyed the movie for what it is.
