Servant (2019–2023)
3/10
Too many plot holes and red herrings!!
1 August 2021
Servant started out intriguing and exciting, but eventually fizzled to a slow burn with no explanations or resolutions to anything going on. I became increasingly frustrated with the plot line and it's ENORMOUS lack of explanations. It's like the writers were making up random ideas as they went along, and nothing made sense. I have no idea how this show is going to go on for more seasons. I eventually jumped ship because I was just so lost. In my opinion, in order for a thriller to be successful, the writers need to leave some breadcrumbs and at least explain *something.* Servant has none of that. 3/10.

Missed key points from the book!!!
14 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was SO looking forward to this movie, but was disappointed because many key points from the book were missing! I think that the things they left out would have clarified and explained a lot of the behaviors of Anna and Ethan. For example, they showed the car crash, but didn't talk about the fact that Anna was stranded for days in that storm, watching her family die (which was the cause of her agoraphobia and PTSD). We kind of saw Anna and Ethan's relationship, but it wasn't really believable. We weren't shown enough of their relationship to understand how Ethan manipulated Anna into trusting him and believing he was the victim. The movie also completely skimmed over the details of the guesswhoanna account, (how it was Ethan on Anna's computer but Anna, being under the influence of the meds and alcohol, thought that she had created and sent the emails to herself).... and the movie didn't even mention Anna's conversation with her online "friend" (who ended up actually being Ethan). Oh, and then there was Bina, Anna's friend..... I could go on and on.

If they had included more details from the book, sure, the movie might have been longer, but it would have made more sense. It definitely would have been a LOT more intense and mind-blowing, like the book was.

I feel like I watched a Broadway show!!
6 December 2020
Give this movie a chance! I felt like I was watching a Broadway show. The singing, choreography, and CGI was great. It's funny, clever, and heartwarming. Jingle Jangle is definitely going on my annual Christmas Movie Watch List!

Meh. What happened to the old SVU????
20 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was one of the worst of season 21.....(right up there with the Machine Elves episode). It had nothing to do with the directing, but the storyline was far-fetched, unbelievable, and slightly random at times. For example, the paintings on the billboard and street....how the heck did she and her friend get up there without anyone noticing? The fact that the perp was found guilty with absolutely NO evidence just seemed like stretch to me. Especially since the victim would have been seen as "unsympathetic" because of her angry media outbursts and harassment of her attacker. All in all, it was just a very uninteresting, predictable episode, and I found myself just waiting for it to be over.

9-1-1: Lone Star (2020– )
5/10
Not the greatest start....
20 January 2020
I feel like I have to write a review of 9-1-1: Lonestar because I've been a HUGE fan of the original 9-1-1 since the beginning. I don't think that Lonestar is complete garbage like some users are saying. But with it being a spin-off, I find that I can't help but compare it to the original. Lonestar just doesn't have the same feel and draw like the original. It didn't start off with a bang and suck you in like the original 9-1-1 did. The characters feel stiff and out of place, and don't have the same chemistry as the original 9-1-1 characters. Also, it is very blatantly PC, and I'm getting tired of that being shoved down our throats on TV shows.

I'll continue watching a couple more episodes to see if it gets better, but so far, it pales in comparison to the original.
